I would strongly advise anyone to avoid dealing with PRA Group if possible.
Despite clear evidence that a default already registered by Barclaycard has been duplicated by PRA Group on my credit file — which is a clear breach of UK credit reporting laws and FCA regulations — they have refused to take action.
After speaking with two representatives (Nieve and her line manager Jean), I explained in detail that their default was a duplicate entry for the same debt, which is not only misleading, but also illegal under data protection laws and FCA rules. Yet, they completely dismissed my concerns and refused to remove the entry.
Their customer service was unhelpful, dismissive, and uninformed, and they failed to acknowledge even the basic legal standards around credit reporting. I’ve now had to escalate the issue to the Financial Ombudsman Service because PRA Group has failed to treat my complaint seriously or fairly.

Nobody likes to deal with debt collection companies. however the lady i spoke to was called Laura she polite and very helpful and sorted my issues quickly

I explained clearly to PRA Group that I am unemployed and unable to pay, but they continued to pursue me and even pushed for court action on a small debt. They ignored token payments I offered in the past and now send replies in email formats I can’t even open. Very stressful and unhelpful experience — communication is poor and not customer-friendly.

Got a call from sue who was lovely, professional and non judgmental. She was very warm and made me feel instantly comfortable in what can be an uncomfortable and awkward conversation, she spoke through all my options and found a solution that worked best for me. I recently got myself in a bit of bother with a credit company leaving me with a big debt that I couldn't pay , pra group reached out to me offered flexible way of pay this debt with no added pressure absolutely brilliant company the debt is now clear and the pressure is off , brilliant guys keep up the good work .

As far as I'm concerned your after my personal data, i cant give you personal data due to data protection, as you lot have a habit of selling private information. Any problems if you truly believe i owe anything from what ever century you think this comes from then please take it to court.

With a payment plan in place, and then to find yourself unemployed is an extremely stressful position to be in. Today I spoke with a human (Morag), and by human I mean someone that listens to your situation, understands and actually tries to help. This not only helps financially, but mentally also knowing that there is an understanding and agreement that works for both parties,

The whole experience of dealing with a very difficult topic as a disabled client was strangely enjoyable.
Every one of the team was helpful and empathetic towards my situation and Tricia was particularly good in piecing together certain elements of my case.

Got a new phone and the first call is from this bunch of clowns asking about some debt that is clearly a matter from the previous user of the phone number I now have.
No way to resolve since they expect me to call them and they'll probably want all sorts of personal information I'm not willing to give them. Remove my number from your call list, it is a new number today and I don't have any debts.
In response to your obviously robot reply: I __don't have__ an account with you. You have started spamming me with calls since I got a new phone number. I am not giving an obviously dodgy company any personal information of mine so you can fabricate an account. STOP SPAMMING ME WITH CALLS. I DO NOT HAVE ANY DEBT. I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY DEBT.

Being in debt is horrible and sometimes scary when debt collection agencies contact you. PAR Group are so different, don't avoid them, they really do want to help. Just had the best experience with Kyle....Top class company👌🏽
