My wife and I have been members of Progress Gym for over five years and it’s genuinely become a big part of our lives.

From the moment you walk through the door, you’re made to feel welcome. The staff are friendly, extremely knowledgeable and always willing to help, while the atmosphere is exactly what you want from a gym — motivating, friendly and never intimidating.

The equipment is second to none and there’s everything you could possibly need. Whether you’re just starting out or have been training for years, there are plenty of options and variety. The gym is always spotlessly clean, well maintained and you never feel like you’re just another person through the door!

Progress has also played a huge part in my wife’s fitness journey, particularly after having our daughter. The support and environment gave her the confidence to get back into training and really enjoy it again after a year out!

A special mention has to go to Rob and the whole team. They’ve created something that feels much more like a community than just a gym and that’s what makes Progress stand out from other gyms we’ve been to in the area and beyond!

We’re sadly leaving the area as we’re moving abroad, but one of the things we’re genuinely going to miss is Progress Gym and the friends we’ve made since joining. We’ve tried other gyms in the past, but nothing has come close.

Ik sport nu ongeveer een jaar bij ProgressGym en ben er nog steeds erg tevreden over. Het is een fijne plek waar je graag komt sporten. De sfeer is prettig en iedereen kan lekker zijn eigen training doen.

De apparatuur is van goede kwaliteit en er is genoeg keuze om je trainingen goed uit te voeren. Al met al een hele fijne gym.

A well maintained gym. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Excellent equipment in both gyms. Some classes available. Personal trainers available if you prefer 1-1 tuition. Great atmosphere in the gym. Always a member of staff on hand if you need help & advice.

The BEST gym in the UK, hands down. Staff are amazing, equipment is top notch, amazing service and brilliant shop too.

I joined Progress Gym in 2022 after closure of one of the local gyms in the area. The gym has an abundance of strength and cardio equipment, amongst many others and has never fallen short of providing a great training experience. The gym has two sites allowing for all types of training.

If you are in the area looking for a gym to try, whether that be on a short or long-term basis, from experience I can only recommend Progress Gym and if I could give 6 stars I would!

Progress has been part of a significant period of my life, cannot speak more highly of staff and the community amongst which, I made really good friends.

The equipment is immaculate and the highest quality in the area by a mile, Rob and his team are always listening to member wishes and sourcing kit for specific purpose, the opposite of what you’d expect of gyms that cater to so many members.

Below average gym, quite small. Although staff are friendly it’s feels as if they been trained to come up to you mid set and try and sell you a membership for just the low low price of £58 a month😭😭 AND THEN want more money to use their external weightlifting garage.

Such a wide range of equipment and really friendly staff, and so clean.

Best gym ever. The equipment is second to none. The experience and knowledge by the staff and personal trainers is unrivalled. Robs passion for fitness and exercise is mind blowing.

The gym is clean and well-equipped. The trainer are very motivating. I feel that my fitness level has definitely improved. The location was also good for me as it was to get to and was in a central area

Fantastic Gym, great staff and management. The best equipment. No need to look anywhere else.

Truly more than a gym. Staff are brilliant and friendly, great shop, great equipment. Everything you will need to be the best version of yourself. You can even use a free trial to see for yourself! If you are thinking about it, stop thinking and do it, you won't regret it.

Top class gym, great selection of kit which is always in immaculate condition. Changing rooms and toilets are always spotless without very thoughtful touches.
Trainers and staff are incredibly knowledgeable and always happy to help.

Brilliant place with top notch facilities. The staff are always friendly and knowledgeable and ready to help. Have really enjoyed training there and they have some great PTs to work with. From what I've seen as well, the owner treats their staff well too.

Great equipment for any need and is always kept clean and tidy!

My wife and I have been going to gyms for over 40 years and we can honestly say that Progress Gym is the best we have attended. The staff are friendly and helpful and the equipment is plentiful and well maintained. The whole gym is clean and tidy. Personal trainers are available if you need them but they won’t bother you if you wish ‘to do your own thing’. We are both in our 80’s now and we still enjoy going!

The staff are so friendly and very helpful making sure you get the best out of your gym session. Thank you 😊
