Terrible communications and not trustworthy...
Had a good sales process and very good site visit (thorough, professional, communicative). Documentation from the site visit was extensive with notes, photos, etc. Then the process turned into a train wreck. The initial design for the solar layout was incompatible with the roof layout due to roof vents and was seemingly done without referring to the site visit or sales notes. I specifically wanted a ballasted system and not a penetrating mount system on our flat roof. Upon pointing this out, my project went to 'hold status' for about a month while they reworked the design. It required tons of input from my side and they finally came back with the plan that matched the initial sales proposal and was compatible with my roof. This then was approved by the city/utility. Then came installation scheduling. I scheduled an installation by phone for Oct 21 and 22. However a day later I got a call saying that needed to be rescheduled due to an error on their part. The next date offered was Nov 17/18. Then on the morning of the scheduled installation I get a call saying not that they will be there in 5 minutes, but that they had to cancel and reschedule me as the system design was incorrect. I was livid and explained how unacceptable this is. They could not explain why it was incorrect, or who made that determination. They offered to reschedule me to Dec 3-5. In the meantime I asked them to explain why the changes, why they were moving more panels onto my second roof that gets shade, and that they guarantee PTO by year end as that was promised to me when I signed the sales order in August. No responses from anyone who knows anything, just guesses. They repeatedly said that the Operations Director will call me, yet after 2 weeks I have had no calls or explanations. One person promised to provide twice weekly updates on my project through to PTO and has yet to meet her own stated promise.
Always check when you can get DNO
Sales Rep, Planning Team, Installation Team and Customer Service were great and always ready to answer your questions and you can feel confident in how they talk and interact with you thereby feeling sure that their product and service are truly good. I had my solar panels installed week ago with a small hiccup, one panel broken due to delivery issues as they mentioned, but was quickly addresses the next day. Everything went well, the app showing me I was getting enough to power my home and some to export back to grid. Now comes the little bit surprising part is that you don't get the DNO confirmation after the installation but get it around 45 to 60 working days which would mean you can't apply for the smart export guarantee scheme to be able to maximise your profit for getting one in the first place. If you are looking for something to set you up with everything in place I do think you have to make sure you get all details sorted out before going with Project Solar. As I said earlier all teams talked to were great but no one informed me it will take 2 to 3 months before I get to export to the grid and get paid. I was always under impression after a weeks time everything will be fine. Unfortunately not for me.

They use subcontractors for installation and not NABCEP Certified
A great installation from Project Solar UK
A great team all round from Damien our surveyor, our first personal contact, through to every one of the guys that actually put the solar up on to our high and steep Victorian slate roof. The process was quick and efficient taking a little over a day to get up and running once the scaffolding was up. Great people all round and including the people on the end of the phone to answer the question you forgot to ask. I thought the Project Solar UK were very professional and I would not hesitate to recommend them if your looking for solar in your life.

The people are very nice and I never felt any pressure. The installation went smoothly. And I felt the overall cost was good. I even recommended them to friends.
My friend compared them vs Tesla and went with Tesla for his solar project. Seeing what he got in the end, I should have gone Tesla. I am envious.
If I had to do it all over again, I would go Tesla. It's a smooth process and GREAT app and GREAT tech.
With Tesla you don't have to know all the things to ask. It's already well thought out and you get a great product and service.
With Project Solar you will need to know more things to ask and make sure it is done properly. For example... this was really annoying. After install, I learned that I needed a small $50 device to tell me in my app "Production vs. Usage". For $50! I wish they told me that. I would have done it. BUT no one mentioned it. When I learned about it, they said "oh, you should have asked for it". Now to get the part installed is like $500-$1000 for labor. I just didn't know enough to ask for it. I'm not a "solar expert". I would think that was pretty basic. Project Solar was not helpful in getting this resolved.
With Tesla, it's just 5-star all the way. My buddy had a great experience and reading the app on how much he produces vs. usage is so cool. My app from Enlighten is so basic and poorly designed.
Also, I want to add a backup battery and Project Solar responses range from clueless to changing their mind on what I can get vs. not get. With Tesla, it would be soooo much easier. #regret
TLDR: Just go Tesla. You'll be happier.
Pressure Selling
Advice on the Which website is "The company shouldn't do anything to pressure you into buying the system that day. It shouldn't offer large time-limited discounts to tempt you, or use other pressure-selling techniques". I am sorry to report that the surveyor/salesman who called yesterday did exactly this. I was dreadfully disappointed to have wasted nearly 3 hours of my (and his) time when I had informed him at the outset that I was getting three quotes for the installation of solar panels, Project Solar being the first. I don't respond well to pressure selling and I was well and truly put off by this tactic. I won't be buying a system from you.

I compared quotes from around 20 companies, and Project Solar offered the best pricing for high-quality equipment. I’d highly recommend them as an affordable, high-quality option. The savings on our electricity bill are incredible—it’s been a huge difference. They were super easy to work with and answered all the questions that I had.

I have had my Project Solar 2000 for over 2 years...I have used it 23 times in that timespan...from Florida Tropical Storms, lightning storms, tornadoes, and this past summer, 2 hurricanes...I used Project Solar 2000 for lighting, making hot tea, using the Air Fryer, cooling my dogs with plug in devices, charging my devices and never worrying about bringing noxious gases into my home...every time I used it, it came through...easy to set up, charge, and facilitate. I love this unit and as I get into the last month of hurricane season here in FL I am eternally grateful to those who advised me regarding this purchase and they quality of work that went into it...wonderful!!!
Price was right
Price was right, Customer service was superior, and the installation went very smoothly. Apart from system partly shutting down, usually during storms have had no issues in three years we have had the system.
Saved soo much money and had a freaking stealer experience
Super awesome, super fast, super friendly. I just had a great experience with this team. Rarely does work go as planned and while there were minor start and stops to address some of my concerns it was all managed very well. My rep was very responsive. Most of all I saved SOOO much money by going with Project Solar over Sunrun. Sunrun quoted me over 70k for the literal exact same set up as project solar. With Project Solar my cost was $23k. Same panels, same microinverters the whole deal!
Go with project solar - skip sunrun and similar companies
Project solar was amazing from permits to installation and best part is no middle men sellers. The quotes I got from sunrun was double for same system. The Sunrun monthly price matches with what I am currently paying because they help us with financing, but catch is financing for 25 years vs I got the loan approved myself with third party for 15 years.
Great value. Quick and smooth installation
Quick and accurate proposal. Easy and clear communication. Installation as planned. Great value!
Went completely blank on me
Went completely blank on me after offering to help clean up the mess they caused. I don't want to say anything further here because I'm likely pursuing legal action shortly.
Very reliable unit.
Quick delivery, easy to set up and use, portable and very reliable. Power bank and expansion units remain at 100% after sitting dormant since 12/23. This includes experiencing temperature extremes from -30F last January to 110F last month.
Good from the beginning to end
From the beginning, Project Solar’s team has been super awesome! They finished everything on time. They put up the panels, and my system was running in no time. It’s been working perfectly for 9 months now, without any problems. The installers knew what they were doing and did a great job. The customer support team is really quick to help too. I’ve hired lots of people for home improvement, but Project Solar has been the best by far!
Great Price and Experience
My experience is a little unusual due to covid, took longer to get started due to delays with available installers and getting the City Approvals took a bit of time, as soon as all the permits and installer was assigned everything went quickly and at budget, including a Fuse Panel Upgrade (200), while the other quotes I got was outrageously up to 15 to 25k more for the same setup. I chose Enphase System for their experience and reliability. Everything was done by Project Solar from design to permits, and choosing a reliable installers in their vast network of installation companies, plus I like the fact you can choose self install to full install. Now my plans is to add power storage for nightly use and to save more on my electric bill. Would recommend Project Solar if you want to save money and time.
Great price and service
Great price and service. Start to finish I had great communication and knew exactly where I was in the process. Bring some patience if you’re in AZ because the permits can take a bit. Now at one year after power turn on and my Enphase equipment is still running perfectly.
Outstanding!
Outstanding!! No hassle, No haggle, they took care of everything from the system design, to permits and managing the certified installers. They kept me informed throughout the entire process. BTW, no other company could even come close to the price!!!
Best rates and prompt service
Half Price and Hassle Free
Hassle free, all work was done by the local company sent to do the work, which were super professional and had it all done the same day. Left necessary paperwork for the inspector that showed up couple of weeks later. Got the same setup for half the price than pervious door to door salesmen. All communication and document signing was done via email/phone.
Had it for 2 years now and no regrets. Paying the same for all, as I would've paid FPL alone.
