Sika has excellent products such as SIKA SIKAFLEX 11FC, SIKAGARD-700 S, and SIKAGARD 570W PELE ELÁSTICA. Sikafloor® MonoFlex MB-25 is also likely to be of excellent quality if applied correctly. After contacting Sika Portugal by phone to ask whether Dekofloorsystems was a reputable company, they said that it was an experienced and certified Sika applicator.
After a day's work, I knew better. They had probably never read the instructions. Apply the primer to a clean surface and fill any large holes. Application of the top layers of Sikafloor420 at excessively high temperatures and with incorrect coating shoes, which caused pinholes in the primer and top layer.
Representatives from Sika Portugal were present and said that a new top layer would be applied. When Dekofloorsystems came to apply the extra top layer, they sanded the floor, but the desert sand remained. They wanted to apply the new top layer on top of this. We contacted Sika Portugal again. No further response was received. Following a discussion between Dekofloorsystems and my lawyer, we decided to have an external company examine the floor and follow up on this verbal agreement. The recommendation was to apply a new top layer. Unfortunately, Dekofloorsystems did not follow up on this.To prevent further damage to my flat roof, I contacted Sika Portugal again to ask if they knew of another company that would be willing to apply an extra top layer for me. Two months later, I still haven't received a reply. I have now arranged for a company to apply the top layer myself, so that water and frost will no longer affect the roof.
