Recently tried joining and explained I was very much a rookie and looking to learn from people who had a similar interest in nature and scenery. I was met with immediate criticism and a general feeling that I wasn't doing good enough. After explaining this to their admins, they maintained their position. It was made very clear that they only want perfection to boost their platform, not to grow it with amateurs getting into photography. Once I said that I'd be posting the responses I had from them to social media, they deleted the account instantly. Disgusting behaviour from what should be a community. Absolutely would not recommend joining this site. In response to their update, two images were blurry and they were both the same one. One image featured a 'crooked' horizon to match the movement of the WW2 monument. As for the abuse, I told them to get f****d after they struggled to explain exactly what was needed to be done. As I said before, they only deleted my account when I mentioned posting their responses to social media, in fact they did that quicker than actually providing any help.

Purpleport, aka pervyport. Most FPI's aren't that great photos, they are just a competition for how much skin can you get the model to show. And like everyone else has said, they are just everyone voting for their friends.
I've had some good experiences with some really good models, and also some bad models. I haven't paid for it, and most of the people who have say it's a waste of money tbh. It's a 2026 model mayhem. You do probably need to be in London to get anything worthwhile out of the site, even then it's hit and miss.
1 star.
My experience with PurplePort has been extremely disappointing.
I signed up as a self-described amateur photographer, uploaded the required 10 images, and was completely honest from the start that I was new to photography and looking to learn. After my initial review, I was told to revise my portfolio and upload different images. I followed the feedback, updated my portfolio, and requested another review.
The response I received was that my work was still below the required standard, despite PurplePort claiming to be welcoming to photographers of all experience levels, including complete beginners.
What I found most frustrating was not the rejection itself, but the attitude and lack of constructive guidance throughout the process. The feedback came across as dismissive, overly harsh, and at times quite snobby. Rather than being given clear examples of what needed improving, I was repeatedly told that my work was “below standard” without being given a clear explanation of what standard I was expected to meet.
If a platform genuinely wants to support new photographers, there should be a clear pathway for beginners to learn and improve. Instead, I felt as though I was being judged against an undefined standard while being told that beginners are welcome.
I fully accept that my photography is not professional. That’s exactly why I wanted to join a community where I could learn from others and develop my skills. Unfortunately, my experience felt more discouraging than supportive.
I was also surprised to find that, after my experience, I was not alone in feeling this way. Looking through reviews, I found a number of other users describing the administration team as unhelpful, dismissive, or unnecessarily harsh. While others may have had a better experience, my own experience unfortunately matched many of those criticisms.
Based on my experience, I did not find the platform nearly as beginner-friendly as it claims to be. Unfortunately, I also wouldn’t recommend it to photographers who are serious about developing their skills, as the feedback I received felt more focused on gatekeeping than helping people improve.
A photography community should encourage growth by providing clear, constructive guidance. Instead, I was left feeling discouraged, confused about the standards being applied, and no closer to understanding what was actually required for approval.
stay away from it, all the negative reviews are right. We're gonna talk negatively about it to all the serious photographers in real life, that is clearly not that website. I had my account banned because some young brainless "Nobel prize" model reported me for no reason if not typically jealousy, I was always kind and I have the screenshots. Basically they let them report and don't allow you to tell the truth (and I had even erased my comment about them). The models often put photography styles in their profile they don't do, they don't even see their own profile. So if you propose nude photography they get angry. They make mistakes and you get banned. It's true what I read there's favouritism for some second rate model or photographer they know. Assistance is nonsense, automatic replies without their name.
Since it's not possible to reply to their comment here, more proof about them : absolutely false and I have the screenshots (even agreeing and with the model already in the place) given to our lawyer and someone will have to pay for that. The models don't even look at their own profile and the styles they add ("dominatrix" was even in their shootings already done) but they prefer to play the victims, clearly they don't know them.
It was not identical because it's not possible to reply, edited because you keep telling b*llshit and you have no balls there
Very clicky. Same small group of people get fpis cos of favouritism. Happy to take your money but suspend your account if you make a simple, genuine mistake. Customer service is absolutely appalling, they're rude, passive aggressive, and the owner likes to support rapists but will suspend your account if you accidentaly make a mistake on a casting. Figure that one out. Shit site, not much work, no support from the owner or the little elf ass licking workers. Terrible site. Wouldn't waste your money

It is a place with loads of opinionated people and those creative people who made that site successful and popular are either not there anymore or don’t really care to post anything. The fact that free membership allows to post few photos only and have millions of restrictions opposing to the paid membership is absolutely disgusting! When they made it free for all members that will give the site a bit of life, otherwise will vanish like the Max models, the polish photography website, which was actually better quality in terms of content!
Purpleport is an excellent way to connect Photographers and Models. I have been a member for 11 years and find it an excellent point of contact with models who want to work. I always pay models there is no need for TFP these days. Other sites seem to have lots of model posts but they don't seem to respond to castings.
Just to reply to Purpleport - they continue to wilfully get it wrong- there was massives of evidence of abuse from this one particular person on the forums themselves. I never said they were private messages, it was forum, which they know. They still chose to ignore it.
In addition I recieved harassment from a number of other people during my time on the site which ended up in the police having to contact the site where they were extremely unhelpful to them though they did end up giving them the information they needed.
To say there was no evidence of harassment is just a poor attempt at gaslighting.
Abusive to staff?? Of course I wasn't 😄, that's plain silly. What I did do was point out that the behaviour of siding with an abuser was similar to Epstein style behaviours in my opinion. They obviously felt sore about that but if that touched such a nerve as to immediately remove me then the owner maybe ought to be asking himself some internal questions.
This is my own personal experiences of the site. People have very different experiences, some good ones. Unfortunately if you become a target by anyone it can become a horror story.
I joined back in 2019 as a model and came quickly to the attention of a male photographer on there. He tried to chat to me a number of times.
He left I believe around covid time but rejoined under a different name. I blocked him quite soon after he returned, I can't honestly remember now why I did but that's when the problems started.
I have felt harassed and stalked by this man for nearly 5 years now.
One of the severe failings of the site is that even if you have someone blocked, they can still force interaction on you via the forums which I used to enjoy being a part of.
Many many times he would refer to me in an abusive way using such terms are "nutcase" and "fantasist" amongst many other very derogatory terms (these are just the most recent). To desperately try to get me to interact with him because he had no other way.
I felt hounded and abused by this guy. And each time he did it, I asked him politely to stop and leave me alone. He never did.
I spoke to Purpleport about it and they also saw all the things he did to try and harass me on the forums but unfortunately they did nothing despite me asking simply for them to remove his comments that were directed at me and abusive.
I ended up deactivating my account and leaving because I didn't feel safe on the site with this man continuing to harass me and the off site activities I believe to be him (unfortunately as a model if someone becomes fixated on you it is then easy for them to find you elsewhere). I was starting to feel vulnerable and even a little frightened of him.
Someone made me aware yesterday that he was at it again, abusing me on the forums so I logged back in and asked him yet again to leave me alone.
Admin removed my comments but allowed his abusive ones to stay up which is the way it's always happened for the last 5 years.
I complained to Purpleport and asked them again for help for dealing with my abuser.
They could simply have just deleted his comments that referenced me derogatorily to help me as the victim and also stop this abusers behaviour in its tracks but they refused to and then they banned my account because I reported him.
Or they could have simply given him a warning because it wasn't like other people weren't noticing his behaviour - they were. But no, they simply wanted me gone for complaining about a man's abusive behaviour towards a woman. Relentless behaviour.
I simply wanted this man to leave me alone. I just wanted to use the site without this man harassing me every way he could.
I'm making this post because I want models especially to be aware that when you join modeling sites, you do not know who is running them and you do not know the people on them.
You may be sharing intimate photos of yourself and this can mean that you can become a target for harassment or fixation and you really do not know who has mental problems.
No sites are a "safe" space and anyone can end up subjected to harassment, abuse and stalking and certainly this site has done nothing to help the victim and indeed sided with the abuser.
The post is just to make people aware of what has happened in my case which has caused me severe distress and harm.
Modeling sites, please be careful as you have literally no idea who is looking at your photos, what this triggers in their head and what they may do about it and there is no support available, it appears (at least in my case) if you do happen to become a target for abuse or fixation.
You are in a very vulnerable position as a model & it only takes one person to fixate on you and you're snookered.
I wish I had never joined this site and become a target for unstable people.
I feel it put my personal safety at risk & put me in a dangerous situation.
This is recounting my own personal experiences only

However, since we have permanently banned their account from site we strongly suggest that you cease all communications with them immediately. We do not remove members from PurplePort without good reason.

I asked PurplePort for the reason for my ban and they couldn't actually give me a reason, Russ head of admin just kept emailing me saying no, no and no.
I have reported this company to trading standards to which I have received an email back from Trading Standards stating there are concerns regarding this site , so feel free to report them to trading standards, as they really don't like freedom of speech or ban you for no actual reason, victim shaming culture!
**As of yesterday evening 3/02/2026 PurplePort has now banned my account due to this review being posted. I had a support ticket open regarding the AI image, to which they question if i put a 1 star review up, i said why do you asume its me, to which they responded it has your name on it, i went back to say can we go back to this ticket regarding the image as its irrelevant if there may or may not be a google review to find i am instantly ban. I appeal the ban to which they were flippant in their response back to me, just be aware you can't have freedom of speach on this platform on your own experience they just shut you down instead of actually addressing the issues on the site.**
I find PurplePort extremely frustrating to use. I only joined in November and have experienced ongoing issues since then. I have reported concerns about photographers to the admin team, yet nothing meaningful has been done to resolve them.
One photographer — who was part of the platform’s meet and greet team — blocked me for no apparent reason while we were actively discussing a shoot. When I raised this with admin, I was simply told to “move on,” which felt dismissive and unhelpful. There appears to be very little safeguarding or support for models on the platform. In this case, it seems the photographer acted on hearsay, as there was no valid reason for the block — particularly as he had approached me twice previously.
More recently, a photo I uploaded was deleted due to alleged AI use, yet there are numerous images on the platform that are clearly AI-generated and far more obvious than mine. This inconsistency is frustrating and unfair.
The platform feels very cliquey and more stressful than supportive. My work has also been repeatedly copied, yet I am told that any action can only be taken if everything remains on their platform, which offers little real protection. Much of the behaviour I have encountered feels amateur rather than professional.
If you request a refund for VIP membership, your profile is immediately downgraded to a standard account, which feels punitive rather than customer-focused.
Overall, PurplePort has been far more stress than it’s worth. The lack of support, inconsistent moderation, tolerance of copied work, and unprofessional handling of legitimate concerns makes this a platform I would not recommend — especially for models looking for a safe and professional environment.
My photos are shown without AI changing them
A really useful resource for finding models and creating casting calls. Arranging everything through the site gives great peace of mind as well.
I've been a member for 7 years and never had an issue.
This is a bad site
They delete your pics b cus they consider any pic A I!!!!
They don't accept your pics . They use how they want your content... and after they delete your pics with no reasons !!!!
Spend your time in another site b cus is not number 1 this in uk !
Possibly one of the most useless sites EVER!
Pay a subscription and yet can't message models with potential work even with full positive feedback for years. VERY few models are active, site is dated and isn't attracting many new models. I have paid fashion work available for models next week but can't message them because I'm not in their "In" crowd. What am I paying for exactly?
Used to be great but it's become a clique run by people who they decide can message models for their own ends, not in their in 'club'... paying a subscription for NOTHING.
The site should be sued for RIPPING people off. If people can't message models, that renders the site useless.
Stay away from this site.
I've been using the site as a model on & off for 6 years now. I've had some great success on there, my only gripe is people being pushy thinking I won't stick to boundaries I clearly state on my profile & via message, those accounts often end up being deleted anyway. Had some great shoots and made some lovely connections over the years.
PurplePort is a great resource for creatives. You can showcase your work, connect with others, finding people to work with and learn. You very much get out what you put in, and there are a number of social features for users to enhance their experience. The site is well-run, well-maintained and useful to members of all ages and experience levels.
A brilliant community for photographers and models
PurplePort is hands-down the best platform I’ve found for connecting with creative people. The site makes it easy to organise shoots, share work, and build lasting collaborations. The community is friendly, professional, and full of inspiring talent—from experienced professionals to those just starting out.
What I particularly value is the transparency and trust the platform creates through references and portfolios. It gives you confidence when arranging shoots, and makes finding the right creative partner so much smoother. The site is also easy to use, with regular updates and active support that keeps everything running well.
PurplePort has helped me develop my photography, expand my network, and work on projects I would never have discovered otherwise. If you’re serious about creative collaboration—whether as a model, photographer, or artist—it’s an outstanding resource.
Highly recommended!

Purpleport is a pretty average platform.
Most accounts are not very active. Replies are rare unless you offer significant Payment.
It has a great selection of images with so many account. But getting in contact is a different matter.
It would benefit Purpleport to delete inactive accounts and promote active accounts. That way it would improve its usefullness.
Purpleport is a rather underwhelming website. Most the profiles don't seem to be active and there hasn't been anything particular worthy from having used the website so far. VIP mode isn't worth the cost, it's mostly additional but very basic profile layout options. The create casting call has it's 'paid modelling' tick box removed if not a paying subscription to VIP mode and admin are apparently weak and pathetic by deleting any casting call that words 'for paid modelling' within it. And there's a weird 'limitation' also added to any profile as well. Pretty stupid really, as doing that is the quickest way to have anybody remove their profiles from the website entirely, and purpleport heavily relay on active models using the website and can't afford to be so displacement with models either.
Purple Port is home from home. It is where I can study the most beautiful images of the most beautiful models and hang out with great models and fellow photographers
Purple Port is a great networking website for all interested industry personnel. Excellent website layout with strong image hosting resolution, love this format... KUDOS Purple Port!
