I remember the first time I was banned. A French model reported me because I (obviously kindly) proposed a nude shooting, but (I couldn't know) that was against her religion (Islam) which was nonsense, as she had nude photos in her profile. Basically they don't know how models are, in fact they believe them. From that moment it was useless to create other profiles, yes they check the IP. The assistance is useless and aggressive, clearly not on the customers side. Obviously I decided to avoid paying for a better account. Their rules are nonsense, beginners obviously have poor photos but they don't help them, accepting only some girls they like. There are fake profiles, maniacs, sex works etc and they're ok for them, probably because similar to them. I was in fashion world and this website has nothing to do with fashion and photography, hence the name mayhem, nomen omen. Their loss

The agency hires active sex workers without checking their backgrounds and ignores public complaints. An unacceptable agency with a bad reputation! Stay away

I used this site two years ago to hire a model to pose with my automobile. It was great to connect with models and other photographers. Participation has declined and I have gotten too many flakes. For my recent project I ended up hiring professionals in person through other connections.
Other amateurs are also found here such as people who offer retouching services. Your mileage may vary.

Utterly appalling website. Do not use this rubbish. It's unreliable and hard to navigate. Constant priblems over the years have never been addressed. Today, I wanted to browse models in the USA. I logged in but was unable to select models in the type of artist box. In the past, I have had 401 errors, screen freezes, inability to accept or deny friend requests, difficulty in turning off work safe mode. No-one looks after this site. Problems are never addressed or even responded to. Today, I was totally unable to even register a complaint or concern.
I am now really concerned about this site's security. I will not be renewing my membership. I recommend Purpleport. As the backwards and useless Model Mayhem loses business (which the owners don't seem to care about), other sites like Purpleport take off.

Mi sono iscritta mesi fa a questo sito come modella, e a dire il vero non mi è servito proprio a nulla se non a perderci tempo. Praticamente arrivano tantissime richieste di amicizia, di gente a caso che poi spamma e non propone offerte valide per modelle. La stragrande maggioranza delle foto che ho postato è stata segnalata dal sito come "mature" (?), e intendo pure normalissime foto in bikini che ho già postato su Instagram e altri siti senza problemi. Queste foto vengono poi nascoste o oscurate. Inoltre inviano tantissime mail spam per cercare di far abbonare gli iscritti al sito e fargli spendere soldi. Io non ho abboccato e incredibilmente, forse per ripicca, mi hanno chiuso l'account senza nemmeno avvisarmi o fornirmi spiegazioni in merito!

I've been using modelmayhem for about eight years . I get lots of jobs for art and boudoir lingerie photography. It's fun. Good source of extra money. I try to be careful. Some scammers anywhere. Lots of guy friends that want to post non art images. So I let them know so they don't get flagged somehow. Useful resource.

I was a VIP member in good standing for a decade, paying them $100 a year for that account level.

A few years ago, they closed my account with no explanation as to why.

I have never looked back.

They are also puritanical about marking images as "mature only" which then did not appear in their mobile app. This would include bikini pics or other clothed images that are perfectly fine on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc.

There are competitor sites like Model Society that care about their members and provide real customer service.

Do yourself a favor and don't support this terrible site.

The management are old mentally and bullying participant.. They thinking because of the site speciality they can twist people hands.. Very bad vibe.

This site used to be good for creative people to connect and collaborate with others, especially those who are just started out. Now, it's full of amateurs (especially models) with little to no professional experience demanding high rates for non-commercial projects to fund their travel lifestyle and generate content for their OF pages. For some reason they expect to be paid to generate content (even if their prospective collaborators do not), content that also earns them money — and enough fools fall for this. The site is full of shills announcing their 'world tour – bookings open', who repeatedly spam other users in the hope of receiving bookings. People are better off posting on Reddit or networking through other more organic means.

Had my account denied as they said (in not so many words) that I had not posted pictures of 'proper' models.
Well, it's true that the models I had used were amateurs but the whole point of using MM was to engage with and hire professional models - so that's not going to happen now. Idiocy.

As Marc said, Anti adult stance, elitist mods. Can’t say it any better than that. Outdated site is putting it lightly. Yes, whole site needs revamped. Lots of lag. Pretty much useless for a model. Adding photos is SUCH a PITA. And their depiction or idea of how flaccid my penis is, is insulting to my own intelligence. No one knows that but me. In a photo shoot, a penis isn’t going to remain fully flaccid. Their idea of an erect penis is one that sticks out straight. The rest of us know an erect penis stands up. Most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. Every guy’s penis doesn’t hang the same. They should hire adults that understand this well known fact. Don’t waste your time here.

I will keep this review as succinct as possible:

1. Very slow site performance. Loading a page can literally take 10-20 seconds.

2. Outdated design and GUI. Port images are terrible in quality. Model Mayhem severely needs a revamp.

3. Models are dropping in quality. Many are now shady mids scouring the network for simps and exploitable GWC's.

4. Anti-adult stance, combined with elitist mods, severely cripples the experience.

And yes, I have an account there, and have worked with several models. All have been either older models or mids, at best, or cryptic escorts (or all of the above).

The positive: Model Mayhem is still a network with models and photographers on it. Yes, you can still score a model there, hence the second star. It's the quality, user experience, and neglect of the network that ranks it so low in my mind. It could be so much more.

Very plain and simple design. The Sedcarddesign is very primitive. The Gallery very bad in his functions, the picture will not be shown in full size, its not possible to comment a picture and evrey time you log in you have to take off the 18+ filter because the site is not able to save the setting. The price-performance ratio for the pay accounts is not given, its usury. Most of the members are not active since one year or more. And without browsing you dont find anyone. Its better to stay away from this site.

Pathetic scam site run by unprofessionals and pedophile and photographers who will block anyone that compete with their photography. It’s a site for prostitution and substandard photography and models. If u know any better stay away from it. Everyone who runs it and moderators are shady subspecies in my view

Run by amateurs who claim to have guidelines. If youre not a paying customer, they will find any excuse to kick you out no questions asked.

I was harassed for years on the site by Moderator 7, primarily. I believe he is someone I spoke out against who was involved in harmful activities, even though I cannot prove it is him as he hides behind the Mod 7 name. Anytime I would upload a new image he would invent rules that don't actually exist on their list of rules and tell me how I violated his imaginary rule in order to remove my photos or my account. I would set it back up, but they must track by IP address or something because he would always find me and let me know in little hints that he knew it was me returning. This was ongoing, from around 2010 to 2023. I will never return again. The site has also been an aid to rapists and kidnappers, you can find news articles and probably court cases on Google Scholar about that.

Very happy to have regained accessed to my model mayhem profile. The member of the support team who helped me was fantastic! Super helpful and a pleasant. Went above and beyond in offering me help with sorting out my account. Couldn’t be happier and glad i’m back on model mayhem.

Worst site on the internet and extremely rude customer service. Stay away from this site.

I mean, it gets me shoot gigs which is nice, but the moderators are super biased and allow many users to post risky photos but then my account gets flagged for photos which aren't even worse than pg13. I hate how biased it is
