SCAM! Trick you into creating a "free" code and then try to charge your for it a few days later. I would never use this. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

I used their free trial, believing that the code I created would be useable without limit and that was why I was trialing was their service. Oh no, the code lasted 7 days and then disappeared and now my marketing material is useless. More fool me for being so naive but I do feel mislead. They now want £11 a month with a minimum of 12 months to revive the code for use for a couple more weeks. As per other reviewers I feel cheated and that they simply see their potential customers as cash cows. Avoid at all costs, there are true free QR code creators out there.

They TRAP you. I had my "free" QR code generated and put on multiple business cards, signs, and my truck. A week later, I get a notification that my free trial has ended and that I have to pay to keep using it. This company did not advertise that payment was required at all. They were claiming to be completely free. Now, for people to scan my QR code, my business has to pay $552 plus tax per year!

Very unethical business scam. They say the codes are free; so I used the two codes I made for an exhibit - today I receive email saying my codes will expire if I don't subscribe and start paying, that it was a 'Free Trial' , not free. Very misleading, very dishonest. Don't use this company. Now I have to reprint my posters.

QR Code Creator is a SCAM. I created my QR code, no indication of when it would expire. When they said I needed a subscription I figured okay, for the $10 WHICH IS ALL THEY LIST. No indication they charge you $130 that you are automatically billed annually. I cancelled within minutes of creating an account and they won't refund me. Will have to reverse charges. Scammers.

Only one star because I can't select zero! This is a scam. Purchased a qr code for 99p and then charged a week later for a subscription that I didn't know about or want. Stay away from these guys.

Not even ONE star!! I concur with so many of the others on here - QR Code Creator uses misleading and deceptive practices in their subscriptions. Initially, they lead you to believe that it is "free," then after you get everything set up and working, and you've sent it to everyone on your list, you get an email that it is going to be disabled unless you sign up for the subscription. The subscription appears as though it is $11/mo, but then it ends up being $133 because they charge for a whole year. I sent them a message immediately to complain and request that I only be charged for one month, but they refused ... they have that base covered in section 18 of their terms of service. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THESE LOSERS!!

Misleading subscription and no refund minutes after payment
I was charged €113 for an annual subscription that was not clearly communicated during checkout. I contacted support immediately - within minutes of the charge - asking to cancel and receive a refund.
They refused and referred to their internal policy. I'm filing an EU complaint!

Do not touch this company!!!

If I could give this company zero stars I would! They should be investigated for their scammy practices!! Generated a code and was no information to say it was only a trial. Then, after I printed promotional material with the code, they disabled the code and sent numerous emails telling me that I have to pay for a plan to reactivate the code!! I have contacted them to complain and they’ve fobbed me off with a load of lies making out their wording on the site is clear! Well, judging by the rest of these comments, no it isn’t! Bait and switch!! I will be making a formal complaint about their unethical company!

Same as all the other reviews - a pure scam. Generated a QR code for free under the impression it was free of charge and any other strings. Got an email today to say the “trial” is ending and to sign up. The website shows the monthly cost in BIG BLACK BOLD LETTERS and then “paid annually” in tiny grey letters below. No total amount shown when paying - otherwise I would not have proceeded. Extremely misleading and unethical practice. I have contacted them for a refund immediately but after seeing other reviews hold out absolutely no hope on getting a resolution from them. I will be contacting my bank to chargeback asap.

A company is a scam artist s do not go near them or trust them with anything.

they are very bad . They do not give refunds for an annual service.. i thought it would me monthly. even if you don't need it and to cancel the automatic billing you have to give up to the whole thing, that means you won't be able to use it .. after paying 162 euros a year!!!
the service is only AI. I am very disapointed.

Why is there no option for zero stars?
I noticed yesterday morning that an usually large amount of money $262.44 AUD has been deducted from my account by these scam artists 🙆🏽‍♀️. To make matters worse, I also received a receipt from them in one of my emails with a completely different amount $186.96 🤔 Like everyone else here, I have contacted them via the support email and only received generic responses from Ashley first stating that they are experiencing a high volume of enquiries and have escalated my email for investigation. 'Robotic Ashley' then sent another email indicating that the escalation is in progress. Now no one is responding to any emails. What sort of company is this? These are disgraceful, dishonest, and very bad ways of conducting business by scamming innocent people who are working hard to make ends meet.
I contacted my bank yesterday and they blocked my card. They advised for me to wait for the funds to clear (all clear this morning) then recontact them so they can lodge a dispute/fraud investigation for me. Waiting for business hours to recontact the bank, I will be contacting Scam Watch and the police today too.

DO NOT USE!!!!! The pricing is a SCAM and is very misleading on purpose! First, the site indicates that there is a FREE TRIAL for 7 days. Because I only needed ONE code and this was a one time only special event, I thought that it would be best to use the FREE TRIAL for this simple need. After a few days, I received a notice that the QR Code was going to expire soon and I would need to pay a subscription fee in order to keep the Code usable on all the flyers that had been distributed. I went back to the subscription page and saw in LARGE LETTERS that the MONTHLY rate was $15.55 so I quickly hit that amount. I entered my credit card information and hit submit. IMPORTANTLY, THERE WAS NO GRAND TOTAL INDICATING THAT I WOULD BE PAYING A FULL YEAR IN ADVANCE - $186.00 - BEFORE SUBMITTING. I WAS SHOCKED WHEN I SAW THE TOTAL AMOUNT AMOUNT ON MY BANK STATEMENT! I made several attempts to reach through the "help line" (again, only via CHAT or email - no phone contact available)- and received the same email as other dissatisfied customers saying it was their policy not to refund any funds. I requested that my account be credited for 11 months but their refused. I LOST $170 in this SCAM!

Absolutely disgraceful. They advertise a free QR code then after a set period contact you with a threat to remove the qr code functionality. I presume if you are very scrupulous you will find some caveat on their site but it's obvious what they are really up to. I spent a lot of money getting the QR code printed and now it will fail unless I give in to blackmail! On principle I won't do it even though it will cost me a lot of money and effort. How do these people sleep at night? They are here... Convertizing LTD, a company registered at 407 Cubes 1, Beacon South Quarter, Republic of Ireland. This appears to be an apartment.

BAIT AND SWITCH! They are the perfect example of bait & switch. Create a free QR code - no mention of it being a free trial or that it will expire. Then a couple weeks later they tell you your code expires unless I pay them $132 - minimum. They can keep it - I'd rather do the rework than give them a penny.
