Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service, poor communication and disappointing after care and follow up. Would not recommend this company.

UPDATE: I have supplied Trustpilot with evidence (hence this review has not been removed as per Recare's request following the original posting). I feel the need to stay anonymous, as a family member unfortunately remains dependent on the company for ongoing equipment maintenance. The dismissive and rather rude attitude shown by Recare management towards customers raising concerns, is clearly evident in the response given below.

UPDATE: The response below from Recare has been edited to remove the previous rude comments, and make it look as the company is following up on complaints. It isn't. Potential customers can make up their own minds about who they want to believe.

Unfortunately the members of the team you were dealing with did advise you that they were on annual leave and due to the current circumstances regarding the Coronavirus there are unavoidable delays from suppliers also. We endeavour to do our upmost to support every client and apologise if you had experienced a less than satisfactory service in these vastly uncertain times. Thank you for your edited response, unfortunately we did have to report the review as we weren’t able to trace yourself and we couldn’t address your concerns without being aware of who you were and we tried to gather the information via Trustpilot, I apologise if this caused you any inconvenience. So far from what I've experienced Recareis the pits and the joke is the care part because they don't. Be careful should you want to return an item you'll get told you can't. Even though in the terms and conditions is clearly stated you can unless specially made. Please don't hold your breathe for a call back chances are your likely to pass out waiting. I'm going to try for a kidney think I'll have more luck

I am sorry to hear you have been disappointed with your service. Initially when you placed the order, we were not aware of any the customised seating on your NHS supplied product. We discussed in great length with you how we would be able to make adaptations and build customised brackets enabling the part ordered to fit to your current product. This is something you unfortunately declined which prevented us from aiding you further with your order. We care greatly and suggested a solution for you to overcome the difficulty of the parts ordered. These parts were ordered in especially for your order and there was no fault with the supplied part, the adaptations needed to be done to the main product as it had been adapted which you did not inform us at the point of order. It is disheartening to see your response above which does neither truly reflect our customer care or service, you were in a unique position due to an NHS supplied product that we were willing to assist you with as they had refused due to the same issues.

Kind, caring and professional

The care and attention given by Recare is second to none. They supported my husband to achieve his full potential given his disabilities which enabled us to make memories which otherwise would not have been possible. Even after his death they supported me in finding a new home for his wheelchair. They have been extremely professional, knowledgeable and efficient and I can't thank them enough for their service.

Fantastic service!

They couldn't be more helpful in helping me pick my first wheelchair and handbike attachment - they've been brilliant throughout the process!

Recare, Very polite and professional service . The stair lift they supplied has meant that my mother can stay in her own home for as long as possible . This has helped in her recovery . I would have no problems recommending the company to anyone considering purchasing a stair lift or any other product.

I can't fault the service to date

I can't fault the service to date. Installation went according to plan, engineers were excellent, no fuss, no mess and very helpful.
