SCAMMERS
This company is a total rip-off, I wish I could give zero stars. I signed up through their app, but the whole thing is a nightmare from start to finish. No reply from customer service.
Borderline fraudulent service
This is a borderline fraudulent service that, through a really shitty and deliberately misleaning app UX, will charge your credit card ($15-20 to charge a phone...insane) without you explicitly consenting to paying for the service. This company must sit somewhere in the grey zone between a fraudulent business and a legitimate company. I hope this company dies an expensive death
They only exist on the fake app
They only exist on the fake app. They don't have any charging stations whatsoever.
Quality service and cool experience
Quality service. Used in bars and restaurants in the city. Convenient and fast, tnx
If I could give this zero stars I…
If I could give this zero stars I would. I was in New York using their rechargers. When I went to return, I followed their app. It brought me to a FUZe station. I had to catch my train so I left my recharger there. I figured that since the app brought me there, it would be OK. However, this company continues to charge me although I have written several emails to them. They just ignore my emails most of the time. I will never ever use their rechargers again.
wont let you cancel your subscription
got a new phone. it is now impossible to cancel my subscription—i contacted customer support and received no response. every month i have to run a chargeback. scam company.
Super Easy Passive Income
Super Easy Passive Income! I love that I’m making extra money just by having these chargers in my café. It didn’t cost me a thing to set up, and now they’re bringing in new customers who grab a charger and stay for coffee! As a GM, I really like the whole idea behind Recharge City — plus, their team is super friendly and easy to work with.
I was cold-called with promises of…
I was cold-called with promises of passive income and a quick return on investment. After paying $14500 for what they called a "franchise," I received nothing but empty promises. The app and station map are completely fake, and there is no real office. They stopped responding to all emails and requests for a refund the second my payment cleared. This company is a sophisticated scam designed to look legitimate. Do not waste your money
A Complete Scam - Stole $17,000 for Phone Charging Stations
Recharge.city cold-called me, promising to install and maintain premium mobile phone charging stations in high-traffic Manhattan businesses. It sounded like a great opportunity. I paid $17,000 upfront for the equipment and locations.
They vanished immediately after the payment cleared.
When I finally read the reviews, I was shocked to see my exact story repeated everywhere. I was even more surprised to find a few positive reviews from business owners. I now suspect Recharge.city paid a handful of places to install their units, purely to make the scam look legitimate and lure in bigger investors.
Do not be fooled. This company is a ghost. If you're skeptical, challenge them to a video call from their claimed Manhattan office address. They can't, because it's fake.
They are sophisticated con artists. I lost $17,000. Learn from my mistake and avoid them completely.
I’m the GM at 5 Bars in NYC
I’m the General Manager at 5 Bars in NYC, and after trying several different brands of portable charging stations, I can confidently say that Recharge City is the best option for us. We had bad experiences with other competitors — many customers complained about being charged $50 in a single day after using their app.
With Recharge City, it’s completely different. Their system allows customers to keep the battery for up to two weeks without unexpected charges, that’s way better
For a business, it’s also a great marketing tool — we can add our menu, promote happy hour offers, and reach more people by the visibility this machine provides. It’s been a win-win for both us and our customers.

Recharge.city promised prime NYC spots…
Recharge.city promised prime NYC spots and "guaranteed returns" for my portable chargers. I paid upfront - zero stations installed, zero communication since. Their app shows fake locations, support ghosts you, and my money’s gone. A total scam. Avoid and report them to the FTC and your bank ASAP.
Scam
They are basically tele scammers. Surprise to see the number of positive reviews here. I bet no one have made any money with these charging machines. Pity that this company is allowed to operate in our country.
I want to warn everyone about…
I want to warn everyone about Recharge.city. Last year, they cold-called me out of nowhere and pressured me into investing as a franchisee for their phone-charging stations. They promised "passive income" and a full return on my investment in just a few months. To convince me, they showed me an app with thousands of stations across the U.S., especially in New York, and said they’d secure prime Manhattan locations for me.
I paid them $16,500 for equipment and location services, provided my ID, and signed contracts. Over a year later, I haven’t received a single penny. When I did my own research, I discovered the app’s map was completely fake – none of those stations actually exist. They lied to get my money.
I’m now fighting to get my money back through a chargeback, but this company is dishonest. They ignored all my calls and emails once they had my cash.
DO NOT TRUST THEM. Their business model is a sham, their app is fake, and they’ll disappear with your money. If they call you, hang up. Report them to the FTC and your bank immediately if you’ve been targeted.
Update: I’ve reported them to the FTC, my state attorney general, and the BBB. Stay far away!
This company scammed me out of $7000…
This company ripped me out of $7000 promising a steady income and ROI in a few months. I tried to contact them afterwards and even visited the address which is mentioned on their website, but it turned out that no such company exists there. Upon doing my own research, the company turned out to be a fassad which only exists on papers.
I'm wonder who is writing these…
I'm wonder who is writing these positive review for Recharge.city when they don't exist at all. My experience was a complete scam. They convinced me to invest $16,000 in their "franchise business," showing me a fake app with hundreds of charging stations across the U.S. Once they got my money, they disappeared.
The app was fake, the business was fake, and they’re a foreign-based scam operation. These glowing reviews are either fake or written by their own employees. Do not trust Recharge.city – they’re fraudsters. Save yourself the trouble and avoid them at all costs.
Best service
The best powerbank. Only $9 for monthly subscription and I can use them everyday. Love it
