Inspector was very thorough and professional

Daniel from Red Book inspected a Vw Golf for me in Sydney last week. I thought the process of receiving the report back to me would be long but rest assured I received it on the same day!

Daniel was very thorough in his inspection, he took many many photos, and was very detailed when writing up the report.

I highly recommend RedBook, they are the only PPR’s I’ll be going with in the future. I’ve even booked another vehicle pre purchase inspection for next week!

Excellent service, easy to arrange and good report

Having a trusted body like RedBook physically look at a car on your behalf gives you confidence in what you are buying.
Information given and the follow up phone call were essential to ensure the car being purchased was up to scratch.
The report was detailed and thorough and even measured the paint thickness!
This is a MUST DO when purchasing a car in NSW online, sight unseen.

Third time we have used Redbook inspection and we will definitely use them again when required.

Very disappointing experience. The inspection failed to identify that the car in issue was in fairly urgent need of front and rear brake pad replacement. A service performed 2 days after picking the car up identified the issue which cost a further $580.

I would have thought that the inspection would have picked up such fundamental issues as this.

Amazing service and experience overall. Was wary of using a service like this but it was actually brilliant and incredibly thorough and useful.

Perhaps ask if I had used the service before and if not a brief advisory of the process. Also, intercommunication between the inspector and the dealership - I had to do background work to ensure the relevant person at the dealership new of the time and was actually available on the day.

I understand that your team liaises directly with the seller to arrange the inspection time. My comment was more about the visibility of that process from my side as the client, rather than suggesting no contact occurred.

In my case, I needed to do some background work myself to ensure the relevant person at the dealership was aware of the inspection time and would be available on the day. I wasn’t sure whether this had already been fully confirmed at your end, so I took it upon myself to follow up to avoid any issues.

It may just be a matter of clearer communication or confirmation to the client once the time has been set with the seller, so everyone is aligned.
