Just competed the 3 day 1st aid at work at Holt Lodge. The trainer, Julie, was engaging, knowledgeable and delivered the course brilliantly. I've been doing 1st aid training for 32 years and I can honestly say this was one of THE best. I would definitely recommend. It was a very hot week and Julie adjusted the course so we weren't suffering too much with the heat. There were mixed abilities but it didn't feel too slow, Julie was able to provide great sessions and I never felt like I was waiting, she encouraged excellent team work 👍
The course content was relevant and the mix of practical vs theory was good and kept the group energised and engaged.

I really enjoyed the course, I do think female only course should be run as laying on the floor being handled by a stranger ( male) is off putting for most woman, I fully understand in real life its life or death but when learning a skill you should feel relaxed and I was not.

Too many people to learn. Leaders rushed through everything, as most people had done course before. Not me! Needed more time to practise & absorb info.

Clear and concise, covering a range of emergency first aid situations.

The training was engaging most of the time as there were practical items and things to do.
Having said that, I believe that there were some updates that had not been passed on by the trainer and I see this as critical.

The trainer made me feel very at ease as i was very nervous at first, having never done a first aid course before. she made it fun and exciting. i left the course feeling extremely confident and since have actually put the course into action after one of my elderly neighbours became unresponsive. This course was very informative and the trainer was fantastic

We had a talented and personable instructor who managed our large class well. Our questions were encouraged and we received lots of individual and helpful feedback.
I feel like I learned a lot and feel pretty confident with my knowledge. It really helps to understand what the role of a first aider is - and isn't.

The instructor was very friendly, and made everyone feel at ease. She created a pleasant atmosphere which helped the learning process. Everybody on the course had a positive response and took part with enthusiasm. The whole day was informative with lots of practical activities helping participants to feel more confident if faced with an emergency first aid situation.
