Scammers posing as a legitimate company!
Somehow they've managed to get hold of my mother's bank details and have set up a direct debit! I know for a fact that my mother has not spoken to them. I phoned the "company" and they claim that an account was set up for maintenance on appliances... absolute rubbish...I have already got insurance with a legitimate company.
The idiot on the phone was very rude and told me to contact the bank to cancel the direct debit....
Now here's the scam....
The first payment is due to come out in a few days so the bank cannot cancel the debit until a payment has come out...
This leaves you fighting to get your money back....
The bank told her to take all the money out of her account which will incur a charge when the DD fails....either that or let it come out and then contact the fraud dept...

Police will be contacted and I will definitely try to get these crooks stopped.

Scam, cancelled the DD last year but somehow they have revived it without my authority.

Called my mum who has dementia and took £175.and set up a direct debit . This company should be banned

This outfit cold called an elderly vulnerable relative claiming to be from BT and sweet talked them into giving out their bank details, name, address and date of birth. Their bank was notified a few hours later as soon I became aware of it.
A Direct Debit mandate appeared in the post a few days later from "Reliable Appliance Repairs" for £170.00 for a protection plan my relative didn't need. The mandate noted that "Sparta Telecom" would appear on the statement.
A further visit to the bank was required to cancel this mandate.
The number that appeared on my relatives's phone caller ID was 01697325809 and they were also given a "helpline" number of 08007789104.
The helpline number matched that on the Direct Debit mandate. I called this number, this, got through eventually and told them exactly what I thought of the underhand, deceitful and morally bankrupt approach to their business activities and advised that I would be contacting the Information Commissioner's Office.
The person I spoke to actually apologised and advised they would remove my relative's details from their database and they would not call them again. We'll see!
I've now reported Reliable Appliance Repairs and Sparta Telecom to the ICO.
It's very easy to do online (ico.org.uk).

£175 taken out of my father's bank account under the name Sparta Telecom.,I phoned Sparta and they told me it was reliable appliance repairs who had processed the payment through them.?????
Reliable appliance repairs say they spoke to my father, who ( very obviously)has dementia, to set up the payment. They have said they will refund within a week.

Scam called my elderly, clearly vulnerable mother on a TPS registered number that they have no right to call.

I suggest anyone affected by their scams complains to the ICO, easy to find the complaint link by searching for ICO nuisance call complaint.

From our experience this company is a complete scam. They preyed on my elderly aunt and somehow persuaded her to pay £175 for appliance cover she didn't need (because she already had it with another company). The money was taken from her account after her death in March 2023. We have been trying since then to recover the £175 (which they claimed was for 2 years of appliance cover). Numerous calls and emails later, we still do not have the money. Today I have tried to email them again, only to get all emails bounce back and see their website no longer exists.

This company also trades as Future 5G Ltd.

Please please don't fall for these companies which scam the vulnerable out of their savings, then close down and disappear with their money. Warn your relatives and neighbours.

A cold call from the 'company' firstly telling me about their repair service for £5.99/month then asking to confirm my address to send me a letter. i asked if they have a website which I visited while on the call. The website is littered with spelling and grammar errors. Their social media links just loop back to their website. They claim that their gas engineers are Corgi registered - Corgi hasn't existed since 2009.

My advice - if you get a call, hang up. Do NOT agree to anything on the call.

Illegal cold call to a TPS registered number. Caller pushed renewing appliance cover - when we don't have cover. A scam. Avoid this outfit.

Cold calling. Awful person just tried to make me have insurance for my TV. Didn't actually ask if I needed it. Very pushy, didn't like it at all. Thinking of more vulnerable people

This company contacted my elderley mother and got her to insure items which did not need insuring and managed to get her to agree to paying £5.99 per month for 24 months.Disgusting behaviour and I hope they are happy with their conduct, lousy conduct!

Very pleased with the service. Phoned up on behalf of elderly relative who's been paying lots of companies for a similar service.

These people are scammers. They have been calling my elderly mum (90 years old) with high pressure sales. She gets very upset and constantly tells them to stop. They won't stop. The are awful.

Scammers who prey on the elderly into handing over their credit card details, website looks legit but no one replies to the emails or phone calls

My poor old befudled mother got conned with these people. I can only assume they cold-called and got her to sign up to a quarterly payment of £23.97. The sting in the tail is, it is only for a 7 year old TV that only cost me £150 back then. So, she's paying for more than a new TV in the space of a year and half.
I've cancelled the Direct Debit and will be calling them to see how they managed to con an old pensioner out of her small pension!
Very unscrupulous company,, avoid them like the plague!

Benjamin Green, arranged a for hoover repair co to repair my washing machine and dryer. The repair man came yesterday and repaired both they need new door catches and the dryer a starter to get the machine to working . Excellent service

can anyone help me with contacting reliable appliance repairs as I have been trying for 2 days but all 4 options just says mailbox is full I cannot get to speak to a human. any help would be appreciated as they are taking a lot of money of my very elderly brother every other month with an amount that he hasn't even got an item worth that amount.
