Autosaguirre Opiniones 

Hired a 7 seater from Autosaguirre La Linea (just over the border with Gibraltar) in May 2026. No problems on collection but office closed on return. The vehicle was an old VW Sharan, had done over 92000 kms with very flat performance. Needed full throttle to get up speed. So a lot of money for a poor quality vehicle. Wouldn't use again.

Two difficult things happened kn my holiday and AS couldn’t have been more helpful and flexible. My flight was diverted from Gibraltar to Malaga and they sent me a text which pinged on landing that I could pick up a car in Malaga instead. The brilliant Guillermo was responding to my messages at midnight. Then my husband fell ill and I needed to leave Spain v quickly. Guillermo to the rescue again he said I could drop the car back in Malaga rather than Gib and sent me v clear instructions about the car return when I was v stressed. Give this man a payrise!

Flew to Gibraltar in May and picked up a car at Autos Aguirre. All went well and the car was older but worked fine. I was informed that the charge for fuel would be returned if the car was returned with a full tank. It was full but my refund never arrived. Email and calls were totally ignored. The broker for the deal was Zest Car Rentals in UK and again they promised to sort it but did nothing.
Best advice...avoid Zest Car Rentals and definitely avoid Autos Aguirre.
They cannot be trusted.

Beware of an unjustified charge being added to your credit card after you get home.
I hired a car from the La Linea car hire office of Rental Cars AutosAguirre from 19/10/2022 to 30/10/2022.
I left a 4 star Trust Pilot comment mentioning that all went well apart from the mobile phone power socket not working.
When I got home to the UK I found I'd had a radar speed trap bill which I paid in full direct to the Spanish authorities. So far all straightforward.
I then found that my credit card showed a €40 charge from Autos Aguirre dated 08/11/2022. There was no explanation. I called AutosAguirre and got nowhere.
I sent a claim to RentalCars via email. I was asked to verify my claim by sending a copy of my credit card bill. It had taken a 16 email string up to then. Some emails contradicted previous ones.

RentalCars eventually replied that they were not a car hire company at all. They just act as a broker. That doesn't appear anywhere in its online presence. Don't expect any help from them.

Autos Aguirre apparently rely on a line in their terms and conditions which implies that any admin costs would be chargeable. That sounds reasonable but they were unable to build up any basis for €40 costs. It seems to be an exorbitant figure plucked out of the air.

Now I think I know why RentalCars Autos Aguirre was the only car hirer with cars in La Linea at short notice. I advise you to avoid them.
