I help a charity, Chorlton Cats, and wrote to a lot of companies about any help they could provide to them as they struggle during the spring months. So far, only one that replied with a positive response. That alone tells me about this company. Not to mention, my cats looooove it. Hence why I wrote. Every drop is eaten everytime. We have some finicky little brats for street cats. Not to mention the personal touches most do not do. Will defintely keep my subscription for my Mcsteamy. He has been through enough and he loves this best.

I had a trial box, and also a discounted month box, but cancelled when I realised there was nothing special about it.
I had finished all of the trial cat foods out there, Blink, Untamed etc when I came across RoC- it’s a cost effective way to see what your cat will eat so I was trying to get through them all.
My cat really liked this food, although for clarity she’s never turned her nose up at anything so she’s obviously not very picky.
I was surprised when I looked at the ingredients- I admit I had just assumed they were better quality than they were. I couldn’t believe the low meat content and addition of sugars for a subscription of that price- I could get Blink for that price which is much higher quality- high meat content, natural ingredients.
I saw online whispers of the similarities to Gourmet Gold- and they are not wrong! The similarities are undeniable. Compare RoC shredded pieces with savoury cake- exactly the same, except savoury cake has ‘of which chicken’ at 10%, RoC only 4%. Pates- animal derivatives are different by 1%, the rest is the same.
The marketing is that they are high quality, but they are no better than what’s available on supermarket shelves so why the price? I also find the ‘tailored nutrition’ misleading- it’s the same dry food and 8 flavours of wet food- you don’t get anything different depending on what you tick when you sign up (I know this as I referred my friend- she put different answers to me and got the exact same) I also didn’t trust the feeding guide as when I signed up I estimated my cat to be 3kg, after a vet visit she was actually 2.7kg when I changed this, her feeding guide didn’t change at all- if my cat is now 10% smaller that should make a difference? (Btw she is just a tiny cat- this is a healthy weight for her)
All in all- yes my cat enjoyed it, however it makes me think I should just try her on Gourmet then.

from requesting taster boxes for both my cats they were quick & efficient in taking order and sending it out, I was glad to try offer as I have 2 very fussy cats and have spent a lot of money trying different companies products paying a lot more for them only for them to refuse to eat the products. The tins I opened and used looked great but unfortunately they would not eat much of what I gave them. I contacted them close to the date when a subscription was to start to cancel it and they replied back on same day advising it had been cancelled offering help and advice if I should want to try them again. Very helpful and was disappointed that my fussy cats did not participate on the trial

Great food and relatively affordable compared with other subscriptions. The only thing that is driving me nuts is that every month they don’t deliver the food in time and my cat runs out of food. I can’t top up ROC food from shops and so have no choice to buy other wet food which gives her a poopy butt each month. This month I run out of wet food tomorrow. I checked days ago and it said it would take payment today and no money has been taken yet even and it’s gone 5pm. I’m likely not to get any food for her until I’m 3 days out of it.

The first thing is to say that this company's customer service is fantastic. My cat is the fussiest ever. She is very hard to please. We tried Republic of Cats as the menu is sufficiently varied and we hoped Millie would find something she would enjoy eating. Sadly not, she even turned her nose up at the dry food and wouldn't take one of the treats they sent me a sample of. I'm sad to be leaving but, at 7 years old, I want to ensure that she is getting all the nutrition she needs. Thank you all for all the support.

Republic Of Cats is special. My cat lost interest in the food given to her. Republic Of Cats understand pets. It’s not just one type of food. My cat Luna enjoys the mixed tins every month. There’s Pate, Flakes and chunks.The biscuits must taste better too as Luna gets stuck into them all the time. There’s never any left!
Republic Of Cats helped my cat stay healthy and keep her weight the way it should be and the vets are happy how happier she seems. Customer service are so lovely when I’ve contacted them too.
Delivery is always on time and it’s a rolling order so every month it arrives and is one thing less for me to worry about. I highly recommend Republic Of Cats. They are Pawsitively Pawsome.

First trial box didn’t arrive and was sorted very quickly, so no probs there.
However 2 out of my 3 cats started vomiting and had bouts of the runs, 3rd cat had the runs. We thought it was this food but couldn’t be sure. Gave them a 2 day break and they were fine, started introducing it again and 2 of them are both ill again. Never ever had a problem introducing new food, and to be so violently sick…one has to wonder what is in it. I’m binning them all, can’t even give them to a local cat rescue knowing it might make the cats there ill too.

I do appreciate that some cats have delicate bellies. However these are farm cats and are fed anything and everything, from raw chicken/beef/liver, to whatever food we get donated or are on offer. We get given a lot of food that other cats become fussy over and won’t eat anymore. They are constantly catching mice and part eating them. So I’m sorry but I don’t accept that this is an issue with the cats as they are far from ‘delicate’ and I notice that there is at least one other review where someone had a similar experience.
Since stopping this food for the 2nd time, again 2 days later, they are absolutely fine again.

The service provided is very prompt and helpful, I would highly recommend them for your cat, mine has never been healthier or happier with the dry and wet food provided for him

Hi. I’ve a Persian cat called Monty. He’s 9years old and fussy as hell. I’ve tried all sorts of cat food ranging from cheapest to the pricest. Republic of cats is the best by far for Monty. He enjoys the shredded one the most. So I’ve found out as he’d been licking juice from the lumpy ones. I’d been putting in little black bags and putting them in the bin.

I would very highly recommend this company. The customer service has been absolutely fantastic, the team are always so helpful and are obviously very well trained. After trying just about every other subscription cat foods, this was indeed my cats favourite. The difference in their overall health, coat and teeth is so remarkable that even our vet noticed a huge difference.
I feel it important to mention that, even though it was my cats favourite, that their monthly subscription cost was cheaper than all the other companies, which made me happy too, as it's very cost efficient.
I look forward to many more years of business with Republic of Cats, keep up the good work team, it is appreciated very much.

Easy to order & contacted team when had email issues. Replied back very quickly with assistance. Would recommend this company as can change feed programmes easily & order dates too through app.

DO NOT BUY! Caused significant vomiting and diarrhoea in my cats. Got the taster, did not realise the next shipment was less than 2 weeks later. Email went to junk, so did not see. Next box delivered and the are refusing to allow me to return and refund. Two cats the will not touch the meat, and dry food really upset their tummies. If I could persevere to get it used I would, but I'm not making them ill. Over £70 of useless food is lying in my hallway. Response was, once sent we cannot areange for return, they dont need to, justvtell me where to send it! T&C say you have 10 days to change mind after payment taken. Ingredients not as gpod as others, animal deriratives! Read cats.com reviews for more detail. Tried to comment on facebook adverts and its blocked, comments are probably all fake, if negative comments are not allowed.

We had some teething problems at the very start, but Ronnie was just so kind, helpful, and dealt with me very professionally, always with a kind word, even when I was getting frustrated,he has always been lovely to deal with, if I have a query etc….. cannot fault him .

What a fantastic brand!

I recently had a small issue with the delivery of my order. Whilst yodel were of no help in resolving the matter, republic of cats went above and beyond to ensure all was resolved.

I have been using their subscription service for a good few months now and I find the very easy to use. I can adjust each months boxes to suit my cats needs. They always notify me 48 hours before dispatch/payment so I can make any last minute changes or additions.

My cat Keith always enjoyed his food and hasn’t turned down a single meal since using them (he’s a fussy kitty)

Whilst there are cheaper options out there, I am happy to pay the extra as the quality and service is second to none.

We were recommended Republic of Cats by our vet, after feeding our two Russian Blue cats on raw food for 6 years. Both cats have a mixture of the tinned meat and kibble, and absolutely love it. The subscription service is very handy, and Ronnie from the customer support team has always been very accommodating for any queries or requests we’ve had. Would highly recommend.

Really sad to cancel our subscription as our super fussy cat absolutely loved your dry food, especially the chicken flavour, but sadly he's had all his teeth out now so can no longer eat biscuits!

Republic of Cats sent excellent dry and wet food that my very fussy cat absolutely adored. The service was great and Dexter loved every bit of it. He left a clean plate.

My cats absolutely adore Republic of Cats food, it has been hand tailored to their likes and dislikes, one loves pate, the other small chunks, neither like Beef...this means there is no waste.I have run out and the cats are not at all happy to have to go back to their old food.Customer service is exemplary too.
