Revel customer support has been such a big help when i've had problems with my system. Unfortunately i've had quite a few issues my POS. i'm almost always on the phone with tier 2 tech support. There is a man named Timothy who helped me fix everything that i was having a problem with. So thank you to him!

Dissapointed

I was told my credit card was going to be charge only $211.33 and I ended up being charged $317. I did ask to DON´T apply a hard inquiry into my credit file they said many times it was only a soft inquiry and I ended up getting a hard inquiry. I was told to apply for the service ASAP because it would take over 6 weeks to get everything ready, I did got the equipment with one day of the payment, now i don't know if that was only a sales trick or what... Hope to don't have any more issues in the future.

Sorry to hear there has been some confusion about the sales and credit process. Your rep would have explained that the final total does not include shipping, so the discrepancy does come from shipping costs. In terms of a credit inquiry, we do apologize for the misinformation - certain credit card processors do a hard inquiry and others do not. IT support and customer service like no other

My direct Connect Jackie was and still is a godsend she helped me purchase the exact equipment that I needed .. I hope everyone that works for revel is as amazing as her .. she hard worker always available , patient, and willing to help and go the extra mile ... I asked to speak to her manager to thank her for her hard work and she said it wasn’t necessary yay I was a pleasure! Like who does that! Wow I wish she was one of my employees .. customer service and IT support is the reason why I chose to work with revel and I have no regrets. My last job used revel and I was so satisfied that I had to use revel now that I have my own business ... best decision ever!

Just Getting Started-One Disconcerting Concern

I just purchased Revel to replace our old POS. Working toward our Go Live date, I’ve been quite happy with everything, with one exception. The only suggeston I have toward improving, would be that you hire enough sales staff so that the reps have time to respond to phone calls, texts and emails.

I called and texted multiple times, to multiple contacts, every day last week, about an urgent issue. Everyone I’ve interacted with at Revel, including my reps, has told me it is imperative that we resolve this issue in a timely manner, if we want to be able to keep our go live date. I’m a bit disappointed in the support the sales team has been able to give me there. I do realize that they have been very busy. If not for this issue (that has happened before during the sales/purchase process), I would gladly award five stars. I’d really appreciate it if someone could contact me ASAP.

REVEL's Breakout from the Hurd

It took a little time to figure out if I could trust what I was being told. Being a first time POS customer I was bombarded by different companies trying to convince me they were better than the other guy. When I would bring up that I was looking at REVEL the comments just got stronger and more focused in an effort to move me away from considering REVEL. I was even sent published business articles that questioned the REVEL's business solvency.. This was all very confusing. The demo's, conversation with REVEL's representatives, and collateral's were useful and important but didn't differentiate REVEL from the hordes of competitors that had the same script, collateral and demos. What finally made the difference for me? I was in a conversation with Chase bank about credit card processing. In this discussion I was being instructed about POS companies and how they are really trying to get taped into you credit card processing. During the this discussion the chase rep spoke favorably of REVEL. This differentiated REVEL from the rest of the pack. I figured that if an institution as big as Chase Bank was working with REVEL enough for it to be used as a favorable example in a open conversation then there had to be more to REVEL than I was seeing. I went back and studied the collateral, watched the website videos, went to YouTube and watched all those videos too.. In the end as I got more educated and worked with REVEL's sales rep more closely I saw a different REVEL emerge from the data. REVEL was the type of system I was looking for but it wasn't apparent at first. The point I want to make is that my understanding of what REVEL does, is, and can do for restaurant didn't come form standard collateral's and sales talk. This stuff only put Revel on par with everyone else. What did it for me was that an institution that I trusted and was working with was using REVEL as an example of a POS vendor they work with regularly. This put them in a different light and I dug deeper to understand the ROI I would be getting if I invested in REVEL.

Skip worked tirelessly and patiently to give us all the detailed information we needed to make an informed decision. He gave us 2 demos and walked us through the process carefully. He was available continuously for two weeks almost daily, returning phone calls and emails within minutes. Texting us when he was unavailable to let us know. He remained cheerful and considerate throughout all our demands on his time. Because of his service we feel very confident that we made the best choice for our bar. New customer

The implementation process with Revel has been frustrating. Beginning with the DocuSign process that would not allow me to submit my contract (probably a sign). The DocuSign would only allow me to submit until I put my social in the title box. I was told by my sales rep that there was an extra space after my social creating the error, not the case. It wasn’t until i realized the error was specifically targeting the box that i’d Listed my title. After acceptance, I was told that my card was declined. Although, I knew more than enough funds were available, I called my bank and was told that they could not find any attempt by revel to charge my card. The next day, the card was processed for $40 more than what I agreed to. The following day o began receiving reminder emails to pay my invoice?? Once i was able to log into my mnagement console, I realized that I only had access to 1 of my 2 establishments. I reached out to my sales rep and was told to call Support. I was I formed by Support that There was a billing issue with the 2nd establishment. After reviewing my sales contract they determined that I did not owe any money to Revel and the 2nd establishment was activated. I have yet to begin processing my orders through Revel but I can only hope for better. This has been a pretty painful process. For a company that talks such a confident talk about the benefits of using Revel vs square, I expected much more. Unfortunately that was only the case. I will be the only food truck to use Revel in my area and hoped to benefit from your referral program, however, refuse to suggest any small business switch to Revel at this time.

Sorry to hear that you have had a frustrating experience so far. DocuSign can be a bit finicky about any extra spaces, etc, when you are signing your name but since you are signing legal forms, they kind of have to be exact, of course. In terms of your card getting declined, that is common for larger purchases - sounds like your bank is looking out for you, which is a good thing! I am sure your sales rep would happily explain the $40 charge, but I would guess it is either tax or a shipping fee.

Apologies for what sounds like a mistake on our side regarding your 2nd establishment, but it sounds like it is now resolved. For troubleshooting issues with your POS, we recommend that you contact Support. For anything Billing related, we advise you to reach out to the Billing team as Support and Billing are not one in the same.

Revel is typically a great fit for any food truck, so I am confident that things should work smoothly for you. It can take some time getting used to a new point of sale and a new point-of-sale company, but we are happy to help you out and welcome your feedback.

Great service by Ruben very knowledgable answered many of my questions, ran through a Skype demo with me to show off all the features I had enquired about.
He has also got a very friendly personality, I feel like we are going to be well looked after after we signed up with the Revel POS system for our new QSR in Newcastle.

I do not understand why a point of sale …

I do not understand why a point of sale system would not show your quantity on hand when you want to place a fill in order. How are you supposed to know how much you need if you don't know what you have? With this system and the last that upset me, you would either need to go physically count your items or look them each up individually which is counter productive to and inventory control system.

From your backend management console (URL) please click on INVENTORY > REORDER > and you’ll be able to see your current inventory. From here, you’ll be able to create the purchase order by clicking on “Generate PO”.
