Subscription issue resolved.

Review updated due to company response- I used a free trial and thought nothing more of it but then discovered I was automatically signed up to a subscription. As others have said PayPal didnt help with this and therefore I contacted the company for a refund. I feel the number of customers raising the subscription issue indicates a need for a review of this system but the email and review here has led to an excellent customer service response from the team and a full refund. I cannot comment on the service they provide as I didn’t use it sufficiently to judge.

I was happy to pay the initial fee to see my parents again (and very happy with the video) but today noticed that they have taken £39 from my PayPal account without my authorisation.
Despicable to play on emotionally vulnerable people with a disingenuous 'subscription ' masquerading as a obe off fee.

A Beautiful Service That Brings Your Photos To Life

My mother passed away in the 1970's with a dreadful cancer. I was young, she was young!
I never saw her 'move' or smile as we had no video footage then. We did not have a cine camera etc.
I saw Revive Memories and had to really think about if I wanted to see her. I lost my brother recently and after a lot of pondering, decided, with apprehension to bring my mum to life.
It was such an easy process and it took some hesitancy to press the button.
When I did, my mum moved and smiled with her warm beautiful smile. I immediately cried and could not stop. It was fabulous. I have that memory downloaded and have shown my son what his grandma was like. Unfortunately, I could not carry on the auto unless cancelled subscription and received fantastic customer support upon cancelling. But, if anyone has multiple images they want to revive I would highly recommend the subscription, that can be cancelled in any month. The after sale service is quick, genuine and kind.

Watch out for subscription charges

I subscribed to a promotion to help me remember my deceased parents.

That cost $1

I was charged $70 later that month and I have just been charged another $70

I have no doubt the service is valid and good for some people but I had no idea I would be charged.

Beware the $1 trial that easily leads to a full subscription

A total con.

Paid $1 and then a week later and out of the blue, it says my 7 day trial has ended and I have been deducted $39.90.

As far as I was aware I just paid $1 for the one photo they changed.

After contacting them, as below, they promptly gave me a full refund.

My experience with revive memories was wonderful, it was a very simple process and fun looking at how a single picture can be made into a snap movie…. I only felt the monthly fees were too high for me at this point and fortunately, Mary, made the cancellation very easy while allowing the tokens earned remained active. Outstanding professionalism

Be aware this is a subscription product

I recently lost my younger brother and in a state of sleepless grief Revivememories appeared on my feed. I paid for the single image being completely unaware that this was a subscription. I only realised whilst randomly checking my banking due to another payment being taken. I was able to cancel the contract relatively easily and have also ensured that the subscription link has been cancelled with PayPal which was my initial form of payment. Attempts to obtain refund were initially ignored however further contact with customer service resulted in a refund of the subscription fee taken.

I believe the concept of the product to be good however the transparency and clarity of terms and conditions are easily missed. The algorithm presents this at a time of incredible vulnerability for multitudes of people and the terms and conditions detailing subscription are evidently being missed by many looking at the reviews here.

Was very happy with the trial video I made for $1 but very unhappy that they charged me $40 after 7 days as a monthly subscription. It's in the fine print and they refused a refund.

FRAUDSTERS

Used 7 day trial to try it out. Cancelled at end but they deny I cancelled and are still stealing from my account. I will get legal advice. They are fraudsters and will steal from you without ethics and terrible customer service. AVOID THEM.

Revivememories has given life to the photos I hold close to my heart. My daughter recently passed away. I sit with photos of her everyday, I'm afraid I'm going to forget. One evening I came across Revivememories website and everything changed. They brought the photos, memories, of my daughter to life!! it's like having my daughter here with me!! the quality is unbelievable!! Mary, from Revivememories, is absolutely wonderful. Your memories, full of happiness or grief, are safe with Revivememories. Photos really are worth a thousand words and for some of us there are no words to express the deep meaning of our photos. Revivememories "gets it" and handles your photos with care. It's ok to be hesitant. If it's grief that's holding you back be gentle with yourself, when you're ready they'll be there for you and you won't be disappointed. It's ok to not be ok. The care that you will receive is second to none. The first step is always the hardest but once you take it you'll be glad you did!!

I’m from Australia to start with. I didn’t know or did they say it was build US dollars,
I didn’t sign up to anything. I just paid for the minimum amount of tokens and then without my authorisation they build me a week later for around $69. I can’t remember exactly. I would have to go back in there but it was a lot. This is a total scam. I sent them an email and they told me that they could not give me a refund. Of course I have cancelled it but I am very upset that I have lost that money.

Great customer service

Like many others I too have been charged $39.90 unexpectedly.
Have tried to email the dispute address given but it just keeps failing to send. Will update if I manage to get a refund 🤔
Edit - i received my refund very quickly - company were very helpful and replied quickly. I really think they need to change the way the ordering process works tho, the only way to get your first photo is to agree to the subscription apparently. I (and many others) didn't notice this at the time - makes it seem like a scam but it was all sorted out for which I am very grateful.
