Incorrect order sent

I ordered a pair of sandals direct from Rieker. When my order arrived it was a man’s pair of shoes. I know that mistakes happen but this Company really need to up their game as far as customer service is concerned! I telephoned them to advise of the incorrect order being sent and the lady on the end of the phone said she would get someone to ring me. This did not happen so I rang them again today. No apology given I just got told to return the incorrect shoes and they would give me a refund. Despite it being their mistake I would have to place another order by which time the item may not still be in stock of course. If they practised good customer service they would have sent me the correct shoes immediately. I really am not happy having to make two expensive phone calls and a trip to the Post Office. No wonder Companies are going under with such poor customer service!

Painful shoes

I have numerous pairs of Riekers shoes but I'm afraid to say this will be my last pair what on earth has gone wrong with them,I've had pairs which made my legs ache before but my latest,black with a patent toe and heel have given me terrible knee pain,it took a while to realise the problem was caused by the shoes, I don't know what shoes to buy in future,what a shame that such a good brand has been ruined

What a lovely shopping experience

What a lovely shopping experience. The staff were so helpful and knowledgeable. Such a range of shoes to choose from I came away with a fabulous pair of sandals. I will recommend the Market Harborough store to all my friends 😊

Customer Service Cancelled Order

I ordered a pair of trainers on 23/06/2025, they took the money. I received an email to say estimated delivery 26/06/2025. As I had not received them by 27/06/2025 or any updates to when I may receive them, I contact them. I then received an email to say the order had been cancelled because they were out of stock, which make no sense because I ordered them when they were in stock, they said they issued a refund. However I find this awful customer service, Why were they in stock when I ordered them (perhaps their systems need to be updated)?
Why did it take me to email them before they did anything about it?

They haven't really provided a reason for why this happened.

Super kundeservice!

Sendte min ordre hurtigt men desværre sendte PostNord den til en pakkeshop 30 km væk og svarede ikke på henvendelser. Det hjalp Reiker med og jeg fik pakken leveret hjem hurtigt derefter. Jeg kunne desværre ikke passe skoene og skulle sende dem retur men der var gået for lang tid ifh fristen, igen hjalp Reiker og jeg har fået mine penge igen.

Pink Remonte Trainers

I live in Dublin. Bought a pair of Remonte Shoes from local Retailers Very Uncomfortable. Hurting my feet. They cost me 99eu. Unfortunately I had worn them outdoors before I discovered the problem.
I am so disappointed another very bad purchase. I can ill afford as I an on a basic Social Welfare Pension. Mary

Very poor quality. Prone to disintegration at an early stage.

Be very wary of the durability of Rieker and Remonte footwear. Whilst many of the reviews here appear favourable they are generally posted by people complimenting the shop staff or expressing their satisfaction with their shoes or boots immediately after purchase., The problem arises with the quality of the product which appears in many cases to be not fit for purpose with colouring easily being scuffed and uppers separating from the soles because they are glued rather than stitched on as they are made to look. Rieker hide behind the Consumer Rights Act 2015 which puts the responsibility on the Retailer rather than the manufacturer to resolve problems. Rieker have no moral conscience about the poor quality of their products and are unwilling to entertain any form of recompense even though admitting in writing to me that "my customer experience has not been what they would expect." There are a huge number of complaints on an American Review Site where most customers say they would never buy Rieker again. Be Warned!

Decline in quality

Purchased boots 20th December. Fake leather ‘flaking’ off toe. Returned to concession within 3 months to where I bought them over 3 weeks ago to be told today that it was ‘wear & tear’. Have worn rieker shoes for several years but the last 2 pairs purchased have been faulty now.

HQ Customer services at Rieker UK have been exemplary in their resolution of two separate issues, one of which was completely outside of their remit.
Totally supportive and transpatent from initial contact to resolution.

Reiker boots don’t last long

Bought very nice boots in favourite colour and hoped for good wear
Unfortunately Reiker boots fell apart and did not flash even one season
Bought them at the private retailer at Isle of Wight, paid cash and did not keep the receipt
After 3 months of wearing Reiker boots fell apart, top part of boots came away from soles. Reading the reviews I don’t even try to complain as don’t hava a receipt
Same as they were comfortable and beautiful
No one manufacture items
which last

Shame!

Very original designs and so comfortable

I went to the Rieker shop in Plymouth, the staff are friendly and extremely helpful. I absolutely love the styles and designs of their footwear , very different from other shoe shops. Rieker shoes are really comfortable and fit perfectly. I’m never disappointed and will continue to buy my footwear from them . I highly recommend.

Reiker boots fell apart

Reiker boots fell apart, top part of boots came away from soles. Hard to glue back together but lasted only 6 months, rubbish shoes and needed re - healed after 3 months. Thankfully bought in a sale but poor quality boots and will never buy again. Pity we have all this rubbish in our shops, bring back shoes made in Northampton.

Denied responsibility for boots falling apart within a year. Not interested.

Don’t touch with a barge pole. Not interested in customer service. Bought at a retailer last November, extremely comfortable ankle boots with man made uppers.

Boots are de laminating and scuffed and coming away from sole after less than a year. Contacted Reiker customer service who quoted sale of goods act and told me they were not responsible as bought from independent retailer. Appalling. Will never buy Reiker again, and would recommend avoiding.

Boots not guaranteed waterproof

I like the comfort of Rieker so bought a pair of ankle boots two weeks ago costing £79.99. Wore them outside in the rain and my feet were soaking wet. Took them back to the shop only to be informed that they were not waterproof. Why would you pay £79.99 for a pair of boots which can't be worn in winter conditions? looked up Rieker advice and they confirm that their boots are not waterproof. Had I been advised of this I would not have bought them. They have just lost a regular customer.

Not fit for purpose

Bought my husband a pair of Reiker boots last year. He wore them over winter last year and they were great. Brought them out just the other day and it was wet outside, the front of his feet were soaking wet. He will now only be able to wear them on dry days (so will be unlikely to wear them as we live in Scotland!). Will think twice about buying Reiker again I’m afraid. As they were bought in a shop in Glasgow some time ago we cannot take them back as we no longer have the receipt. One winter for boots that cost about £100!
