Comfortable, but soles are not good enough.

I have three pairs of Rieker shoes and the winter boots were my favourite. I have real problems getting shoes that fit, but these were comfortable from day one. Warm lining, and look good too. Bought at the end of December 2024, I wore them a lot until April. Last Sunday was my first outing in them since then.

After I stepped in a puddle I felt my foot get very cold and wet. Arriving home, I discovered that the sole had cracked all the way across in the middle. I returned them to the store in Bath to be told that they are only guaranteed against defects for six months. The assistant even told me that this was a really rare occurence. Their solution? Get them mended, resoled, or buy another pair - we have several similar boots in stock...

No way! I have since been advised that mending is not feasible and a resole will cost £90...

I was a bit disappointed with these…

I was a bit disappointed with these boots, ordered them for my husband for Xmas we both love & wear Rieker but they were rippled down the sides of the width on the leather..
Spoke to customer service which were very good & I'm being refunded,hopefully just a faulty pair as usually are so good.

Beware

I bought sand Les for $180 usd in a boutique shoe store in Steamboat. I needed the sandals to get me through 6 weeks in Europe.
These shoes back strap broke my first week. I was stuck without proper footwear and was unsure to throw them out in Turkey. Luckily I found a shoe maker in the small village of Goreme, he was able to put stitching in where the crap shoes were simply glued together. BEWARE of this company.

Wearing out quickly

I bought Rieker shoes earlier this year. I wear them 1-2 days a week, and they are already worn out to the point I will have to dispose of them before the year is over.

I also bought Rieker sandals a couple of years ago. Even though I wear them only occasionally, they are not holding up as well as I would have expected.

Never delivered

I was so disappointed with the service exacerbated by DHL failures to find a simple address. I ordered and paid for shoes on 25 August. A few days later I was informed that they had been despatched. Nothing arrived so I contacted Rieker to say the item had not arrived. They chased and said DHL couldn't find the house so I replied with an idiots guide. Again, nothing. Then after another query from me I was informed the shoes could not be found and I would be refunded. It is now 9 September,- 16 days later and my account has not been refunded. All I wanted was a simple pair of shoes bought online. I will not be wearing Rieker shoes in the future.

Incorrect order sent

I ordered a pair of sandals direct from Rieker. When my order arrived it was a man’s pair of shoes. I know that mistakes happen but this Company really need to up their game as far as customer service is concerned! I telephoned them to advise of the incorrect order being sent and the lady on the end of the phone said she would get someone to ring me. This did not happen so I rang them again today. No apology given I just got told to return the incorrect shoes and they would give me a refund. Despite it being their mistake I would have to place another order by which time the item may not still be in stock of course. If they practised good customer service they would have sent me the correct shoes immediately. I really am not happy having to make two expensive phone calls and a trip to the Post Office. No wonder Companies are going under with such poor customer service!
