I have been attending Dr Emily Clarke and the lovely Dental Hygienist Deirdre, since May 2023. The service is professional, friendly, everything is explained and as a nervous patient, I am always put at ease! Lisa the receptionist, is a 5 Star in Customer Service, always smiling! My treatment plan, is going well and I trust both Dr Clarke & Deirdre 100%, you couldn't be in safer hands!

January 2024-My name is Mairead I have been a patient of Riverpoint Dental clinic in Limerick and have always had wonderful professional care and attention . I have been under Dr mc Auliffe Dr Emily Clarke and the wonderful Deirdre- dental Hygenist . It isn’t as if you can have a long conversation with your mouth open! I trust this clinic to look after my dental needs and will continue to attend

There is a reason why Riverpoint Dental has a long waiting list for an appointment - the treatments here are exceptional and Dr Emily Clarke is in a field of her own. You are assessed and recommended a course of action in order to remedy something which is in urgent need of care - which is why you are referred there in the first place. This is not a regular dental practice. I thought I was beyond salvation due the upshot of a long-standing fear of dentists, but Dr Emily Clarke and her magnificent team are putting many years of wrongs right. I am so happy with the results so far - and the results are discernible. They are a lovely, knowledgeable team to boot, and passionate about oral health. I would not hesitate to recommend.

This clinic is full of friendly and incredibly competent people. The receptionists make you feel welcome from the moment you open the door and you can sense that there is a positive working environment. The handful of specialists I've seen in Riverpoint have been professional, confident and very thorough. I've always felt comfortable and at ease both proceeding and during every dental appointment I've had the pleasure of scheduling here. I couldn't recommend this clinic more highly.

Emily and Padraig I can’t thank enough for the great job they did on my teeth . I needed an extraction with Emily and then an implant . We laughed through the whole process . I am so delighted with the finished job as my teeth look fantastic . Thank you Emily and all the hard working team of nurses and of course the reception staff who are always smiling .

I recently attended Riverpoint dental clinic and I have to say my experience was second to none . I had problems with my gums and was advised the best route to take and the procedure I would be having . Dr. Emily Clarke took my x
rays and scheduled me in for my
appointment in the following weeks . The receptionist Lisa had rang me the
previous week to my appointment as a
reminder and she is always so friendly
and upbeat which is so rare . When I arrived for my gum procedure I was nervous to say the least but I was put at ease by the Nurse Sheila so was so lovely and reassuring that everything would be ok. She outlined what what was happening and the aftercare also .Dr. Emily then then came into the room and again reassured me not to even worry about the procedure that I won't even feel it . Again reiterating what Sheila said previously about the after care and what not . During the procedure, I felt so comfortable and to be honest didn't feel
a thing . With both Sheila and Emily
asking me throughout was I ok. The
procedure was over within the hour and I
have to say it could not have gone better . I will definitely be recommending Emily
and her team at Riverpoint dental to
friends and family without any hesitation Thanks again girls 😁

I was referred to Riverpoint by my dentist to have my lower front teeth checked for periodontal treatment. I received an appointment a few months later which was fine. I arrived and was met by lovely reception staff and a lovely dental assistant but that's where the lovely ends. Dr. Emily Clarke arrived with no acknowledgement of me only to abruptly ask who referred me before roughly opening my mouth and taking x-rays...I honestly felt like I was putting her out. The "check-up" hurt alot with lots of tutting and sighing but very little explaining as to what she found or thought. She told me I'd need to go back for root planing as my back teeth were in bad shape. I've seen several hygienists and dentists over the years and not one of them mentioned my back teeth as an issue. Dr. Clarke said a "regular" hygienist wouldn't notice the issue?! I was charged €150, for 5 minutes and given no time to ask about the issue I was actually there for - she was gone before I sat up from the chair. Still...she took x-rays of my whole mouth so surely when I return she'll talk to me then right? Wrong!! I went back for root planing. Waited 25 mins for her to arrive after rushing in to be there for 8am. I was given local anesthetic as soon as I sat on the chair, no hellos or how do you dos....10 minutes later she came back and started the procedure with no word of what it involved etc...was over in 25 minutes or so...I couldn't talk once it was over as my whole face was numb so I couldn't ask about my lower teeth...I was ushered up and out to pay without a mention of my lower teeth or if I was ok!! I went to pay €400 only to be told it was €450...she definitely quoted me €400 the first day. I spent two weeks in pain, which is probably normal I don't know...but no further on as to what the story is with my lower teeth. My gut is telling me it's a money racket so be careful...I'm just sorry I didn't insist on my questions being answered during my first visit...which was supposed to be a consultation...but not once did I get a chance to ask a question!! Needless to say I will never go back there again and Emily Clarke should be ashamed of the way she treats her patients.

I contacted this clinic online to discuss possibilities from implant to denture. A lady rang in a day or two and I explained, as best I could, what I wanted. She spoke vaguely about an appointment. That was three months ago and I've heard nothing since

I had a very positive experience with Dr Durack last year for a root canal. He was extremely professional and courteous. However, when I went to his colleague Dr McAuliffe the service slipped dramatically. I went to Dr McAuliffe for the second part of the root canal procedure. The crown. I was only in the chair 3mins for the crown appointment and was told I had a lobsided smile and would require 5veneers to straighten it out. Not what I was there for and I also wondered would he have said this to a man? I was there for my crown. I also made an appointment to have a filling redone on my front tooth and this was cancelled by the surgery, on the same day, three times. The last time was today and I informed the surgery I would no longer be attending. It is extremely frustrating as when the receptionist called yesterday to confirm todays appointment I told her I had two separate people organised to mind my kids while I travelled from Ballina as one needed pick up from Montessori while the baby was minded at home. It took a lot of organising on my behalf to make this appointment as I am on Maternity leave. Then I get a phone call with less than two hours notice asking me to move my appointment to 3 hours later which was not possible. I would not recommend Dr McAuliffe on many levels.

There is such a bad atmosphere in this clinic. The receptionist was lovely.. It ended there. Emily Clarke may be good at her job but her manner and attitude are atrocious in this day and age. There is a way to deal with vulnerable people and break bad news to them. I would rather let my teeth fall out than ever go near her again.
On the plus side it made me vow to get my gums into good order, for the next periodontist i see... Obviously not her!

Go elsewhere, or you might feel you were ripped off!
I first attended Riverpoint and had a gum examination and X-rays which cost €150. I was told I'd need further treatment and was given 2 appointments for periodontal treatment quoted at a total of €800. Obviously at €400 per appointment I was expecting that the treatment would take quite a lot of work and time.
I attended the first appointment, I was hardly there for much more than 1 hour and most of that time was waiting to be seen and waiting for the local anaesthetic to work. The treatment itself was quite quick and straightforward.
I left feeling that I'd been ripped off. I checked the prices of some local dentists and found I could’ve received a Periodontal treatment with local anaesthetic for €140, so I never went back to Riverpoint for the second appointment.

Abrupt No Customer Focus.
My Dentist referred me to these and four weeks after the referral, I had heard nothing so I call them. In a strained tone, the lady told me that they had left a voicemail (two weeks!) after receiving the referral, I did not receive the voice mail. this was now two weeks later and they had made no further effort in that second two weeks to contact me. ..
There were a series of poor and duplicate communications after that mostly delivered in a poor tone but I proceeded with the appointment assuming that it was just admin that was the problem.
I arrived 10 min before my anointment, filled out the forms and waited 35 mins, 25 mins after my appointment time. During this time nobody, admin or consultants, addressed the delayed timing, offered me water or acknowledged my existence on the premises. I walked up to the reception desk and nicely told the lady that I wished to cancel my appointment. Surprised, she asked then would she go and check. I declined this offer, I informed her that I would go somewhere that appreciated my business. They charge approx €200 an hour for this level of service and this may be linked to the delay and lack of care for the paying customer.
