We're sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your experience.
We would, however, like to clarify a few points. At the time your order was placed, our website displayed a notice on the homepage advising that, due to exceptionally high order volumes, orders were being dispatched within one week, after which normal courier delivery times would apply. Your order was placed on 12th July and was due to be dispatched on 15th July, well within the stated dispatch timeframe.
The delivery service selected was our standard DHL service. The advertised 1–2 working day delivery refers to the courier's transit time after an order has been dispatched, rather than the time from when the order is placed.
When you contacted us on 14th July, our team attempted to explain the above and advise that your order was already with our packing team awaiting dispatch. Unfortunately, the conversation became difficult as our colleague was subjected to shouting and was unable to continue the call. While we always do our best to assist every customer, we also have a responsibility to ensure our staff are treated with respect.
As explained during the call, your order was cancelled and a full refund will be issued.
We genuinely regret that we were unable to meet your expectations on this occasion and wish you all the best going forward.

Ok. But how long will it last when it’s already rusty. Could do with powder coating them, to give a better aesthetic when new. Also would preserve the shelf life.

The fire pit you purchased is manufactured from Corten steel, which is specifically designed to develop a natural rust patina over time. The rusty appearance isn't a defect—it's the intended finish and the characteristic that gives Corten steel its durability. As the patina develops, it forms a protective layer that helps preserve the steel for many years.
We appreciate that this look isn't to everyone's taste, which is why we provide information on our website explaining what Corten steel is, how it weathers, and what customers can expect before purchasing.
Powder coating would create a completely different product, as it would prevent the natural weathering process that makes Corten steel unique and gives it its distinctive appearance.
We hope this helps explain why your fire pit arrived and continues to develop its characteristic finish. If you have any further questions about caring for your fire pit, we'd be more than happy to help.
Friendly and helpful service
I bought and collected a ceramic bowl from this company. The staff were very helpful on the phone and when I arrived to collect it. They have a great selection of garden ornaments and figurines, especially the animals.

Poor customer service
Ordered 2 ironstone saucers at £60 each. At that time there were 9 showing in stock Waited a week to be told "Upon picking your order, we were down to the last two. I have attached some images for you to see, but there is a slight colour difference. We have cleaned them thoroughly for you to see". Asked if there was any gesture of goodwill or discount given the poor comms, marked difference in colour and delay in sending. The answer a resounding "No". Refund requested, a lost customer and will source elsewhere.

We're sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your experience.
When your order reached our warehouse for dispatch, our team discovered that our live stock figure was inaccurate. Unfortunately, with large, heavy products like ironstone, occasional damage during handling or when deliveries are received can sometimes result in a small stock discrepancy. As soon as this was identified, we contacted you rather than sending products that did not meet your expectations.
Our team also took the time to thoroughly clean both saucers and send you photographs, as natural ironstone is a handcrafted product and variations in colour, texture and finish are completely normal. We wanted to ensure you were happy with the exact items before dispatch, rather than simply sending them without consultation.
Regarding the timescale, our website clearly advises that dispatch times are currently up to one week due to high order volumes, and your order was reviewed within that advertised timeframe.
When you decided you no longer wished to proceed, we respected your decision and processed a full refund. While we appreciate that you were hoping for a discount, we did not feel it would have been appropriate in these circumstances, particularly as the products themselves were natural items and we had been transparent before dispatch.
We always aim to be honest and proactive with our customers, even when it means highlighting something they may not have otherwise noticed. We'd rather give customers the opportunity to make an informed decision than send an order that may not meet their expectations.
We are sorry that, despite our efforts to communicate openly, we were unable to provide the outcome you were looking for.

Terrific company, and lovely people.
Zac first supplied oak to me over 25 years ago. Since then, they have made a four bay oak garage, exact to a millimetre!
Today they are supplying both green oak and air-dried oak, machined to specification, for my 1570 house renovation. Fast turnaround too, which doesn’t hold up the men on site.

Brilliant delivery service
Just received a Giant Atlantis Vase (72 kgs). Thank you so much to the driver who delivered it (sorry didn't ask his name).
He struggled with it off the van and made sure it was in its right place in the garden. We certainly couldn't have done it without him.
