My experience with senior staff at the…

My experience with senior staff at the Royal Borough of Greenwich (Registrar Team) raised serious concerns about competence, accountability, and adherence to statutory responsibilities.
Throughout my complaint, key officers failed to follow the council’s own corporate complaints procedure, and the Stage 2 response lacked proper oversight, accuracy, and statutory compliance.
Senior staff did not apply mandatory guidance correctly, did not escalate issues appropriately, and did not provide clear or lawful information when required.
The fact that the Head of Legal Services had to intervene suggests that the handling of my complaint was not straightforward and required risk management, which would not be necessary if the process had been followed correctly from the start.
In my view, this reflects systemic issues with senior leadership, procedural competence, and the council’s ability to meet statutory duties.
I hope the council reviews its internal processes, improves senior accountability, and ensures that statutory requirements are followed consistently

They should be criminally investigated…

They should be criminally investigated & shirt down.
They send unauthorised messages & emails demand money by deception. Inventing false descriptions of victims, as a means to cover up complaints , bare faced liars, bullying, gaslighting, creating fake & fraudulent documents for financial gain, illegally & unlawfully preventing anyone from challenging them.
Last SUNDAY at 10 o’clock at NIGHT, someone from r/g sent me a text message , demanding £700 that I do not owe, I’ve had tax demands for a non existing debt, they just make it up as they go along, taking full advantage of this corrupt government thing going on in the Uk, rude, ignorant, mouthy , overbearing, always shouting & talking over me, refusing to listen, dictatorship, controlling and are a LANDLORD from HELL..

Very poor experience with Greenwich…

Very poor experience with Greenwich Council. I submitted a move notification on 20th March and nothing was done for weeks—no updates, no communication, nothing.

In the end, I had to chase it myself and wait 45 minutes on the phone just to get through to someone. Only then was the change actually processed. To make matters worse, the customer service assistant I spoke to was dismissive and had a clear attitude that nothing was wrong, which was incredibly frustrating given the delay.

Basic requests shouldn’t require this much effort to resolve. Really disappointing service.

Never answer phone cant do any job correctly. Shocking have screwed my council tax . Echp system is a nightmare rhe workers never respond took ombudsman complaint to get my child a school place after cohncil off rolled my daughter and failed to tell me. Left my daughter 2 yrs without education

Great service from the team who assisted me in getting rid of bins I no longer use. George who collected the bins was friendly and happy to help.

The most useless council I have…

The most useless council I have experienced in this country. They are so lazy and negligent of serious issues in council housing blocks. I have reported a serious water leaking issue for 5 times within a year but they cant fix it, totally inept. Every time you call to report an issue and they try to dodge it. I have noticed it to be a council wide attitude among their other department. I wish I would never have chosen to live here!

Greenwich Council placing mentally disturbed people next to children

There are serious housing and safeguarding issues being breached by this council. Managers hide behind arrogant admin staff whose sole purpose is to close a ticket. Nothing seems to be in their remit. I have repeatedly complained to the Council’s Community Protection team. Even my neighbours in the next street have called Police about the residents next door. This isn't about the occasional house party, there are mentally disturbed residents living at no.70 from X prisoners to mentally disturbed and violent sociopaths who throw things around, bang the doors in middle of night and howl. We have gone to speak to the care workers, but these become empty words reported to the business owner. This 'care' home from hell was setup under the councils knowledge over a year ago. Council files internal investigations, but we are kept in the dark and the community protection team refuse to give detailed information about the business operating there. We have 3 vulnerable children in our home and have not had a decent night's sleep for 8 months. The noisiest resident at the home goes crazy 2 or 3 times a night. Even 3am, right beside our children's bedroom. Why are you doing this to us Greenwich Council? Why are you all lacking responsibility, a conscience and why are you so corrupt? If an investigative TV crew came knocking on your doors, no doubt you'd all spring into action.

Let down today by RBG…

Let down today by RBG whose representative did not turn up to meet with Gas Supply Engineer to give him access to the Sub Station. We had a faulty Meter which would not load payment. The engineer managed to by pass this and give us continuous gas. I have a 75 year old with a Respriatory Condition and the house was Freezing. Getting a cold or ill could prove detrimental to their health. This is now 3 times I have attempted to get Smart Meters installed

Greenwich Council Failure

I tried to contact Greenwich Council by phone to enquire about rubbish collection services that weren't covered on the webpages... after 20 mins of being held at 'No 1' in the queue (and on another general enquiry line for 10 mins) I realised the phones were not manned despite it being 3pm and the automated message claiming that the phone lines were open until 6pm?
I generally think the council services have been ok (despite the hike to £250 to park outside my house:)) but they are now ignoring giving a decent service to tax payers who need to speak to them..... when is the next election?
