This was my second course with Ruth and just as enjoyable as the first. I learnt a lot. Ruth's teaching is clear and well-informed. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

I did Ruth's course last Saturday and found it absolutely fascinating ..she delivered exactly the right balance of theory and practice.
We learned about the origins of the soap making process, made two batches of our own soap and took a wide selection of different soaps home with us.

I booked the 1-2-1 soap making course and enjoyed every minute of it. Ruth is a very good teacher, she was happy to answer all my questions and explained everything clearly.
I made three different types of soap and Ruth even posted one on to me that hadn’t quite set enough for me to take home.
I got to meet the cats, the setting and views were stunning and the lunch provided was delicious…. whats not to like! ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

Ruth is a fantastic teacher she has a great sense of humour and great at explaining. I had fun at her soap making class and business course and highly recommend attending her courses.

Ruth provided a lovely and easy course as an introduction to soap making. After her demonstration we had the chance to mix two different types of soaps which has really helped with my confidence. Thanks.

This was a very good day out. Poynton is a lovely little town with lots of shops and cafes to visit during the luch break.
The course was well constructed with an introduction to soap and its history. Followed by a demonstration, then we had a first chance to try it out ourselves with care and all necessary health and safety precautions taken.
There was then a break for lunch, tea and coffee were included in the price. After lunch we admired what had been made by everyone, they looked a lot like cup cake. We then started on a second batch with much less hesitancy. When finished we all cleaned our utensils and divided out the spoils to take home.
The only downside is that you have to wait 4 weeks to try it out.

My sister and I attended Ruth's private skincare course in her studio. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived by Ruth, her husband and a very friendly cat :)
We thoroughly enjoyed spending the day learning about skincare and the properties of different butters and oils. We spent plenty of time making products including a body butter, cleansing balm, bath bombs and lip balms that we took home with us. Ruth is a wonderful teacher and happy to share her knowledge and skills and we had some very interesting and enlightening conversations during the day. We'd definitely recommend the course to anyone considering it.

I had a total of three sessions with Ruth, first was about soap making, then natural skincare and finally the business side of skincare. Ruth is very knowledgeable in all these areas and made the learning experience very enjoyable.
She remains a very important contact and equally very supportive of our journey.

Ruth’s soap making workshop was truly excellent, all the information provided was very clear and easy to follow. Her expertise and impressive knowledge was shared so freely, and in a way that made the learning easy to grasp. I would definitely recommend to anyone interested in soap making and I intend to join other classes from Ruth after this experience.

I had the pleasure of joining Ruth's soap crafting workshop, where her excellent communication skills and approachable demeanor made the experience both enlightening and delightful. Collaborating with fellow participants was a highlight, as we created beautiful soaps to bring home. The workshop was a truly enjoyable experience, and I wholeheartedly suggest it to others.

I very much enjoyed Ruth’s workshop. It was very informative and I now feel confident to try myself at home - making soap is something I’ve wanted to try for a long while but I lacked confidence to work safely with lye. It was fun to make our soaps and my car smelt amazing on the way home with the beautiful soaps we made. Thank you for a fantastic day and sharing your expertise so knowledgeably and professionally.

I absolutely loved my one-on-one skin care making session with Ruth at her beautiful summer/lab house. Working alongside with her was an amazing experience! She provided comprehensive instructions, covering both the essential theory and guiding me through the practical, hands-on work. She patiently answered all my questions and I left being thrilled with our bespoke creations; a cupcake of soaps and shampoo and a tin of whipped body cream. I even bought a book to delve deeper into ingredient knowledge and use her recipes as a starting point. I am excited to formulate my own soon! I found the whole session to be therapeutic and wholeheartedly recommend Ruth to anyone looking to create their own natural skincare products.

I've just done Ruth Romano's business's course for skin and soap products.
It was such an 'eye opener' as I never realised what needed to be done to comply with safety standards.
Ruth explained everything thoroughly and gave enough opportunities for me to ask questions. She went over material if I was unsure about anything and illustrated the areas discussed with examples which we worked through together.
Time was spent discussing marketing, insurance, suppliers etc and some useful ideas and websites were given.
Ruth sent me a comprehensive handout which will prove invaluable when I take the steps to set up my own business.
I would definitely recommend Ruth and her course.

I thoroughly enjoyed learning about how to make soap with Ruth. I had wanted to try making some for a while, but felt at a bit loss as to where to start.
Ruth helped put me at ease about the chemistry side of things, and taught me all I need to know to get started on my own. She made me feel very welcome and I felt a bond with her almost immediately.
I came out of the class absolutely buzzing with excitement and raring to have a go at home!

Teacher Ruth is kind and thorough in her teaching, very clear and precious in explaining details. She has given us as much information needed and always ready to help when we were practising the skill. It's a very fun, therapeutic class. Lovely essential oil soap cupcakes fragrance diffuses beautifully in my bedroom. An hands-on experience not to be missed.
