Very attentive staff

Very attentive staff, they really listen to you, they make you feel extremely comfortable in the lively stylish bright Hampton salon. I will definitely be back!

Drar upp priset

Blev lurad, jag bokade elevklipp och det stod att man skulle bli klippt av årskurs 3 elever men fick årskurs 2 elever. Det stod även att det skulle kosta från 1200kr men när jag sedan skulle betala landade det på 1800kr, detta utan att jag fått någon information under färgningens gång om att de drog upp priset.
Annars var färgningen bra men riktigt dåligt att man att man inte berättar att det blir dyrare och frågar om det är okej.

First time visit at Saks Hair Newark, awful don’t visit.

This was my first time visiting the Saks hair Newark team, would not recommend if you have blonde hair or to be fair even with their customer service.

It looks lovely from the outside but when you step inside, it’s very below expectation for the customer service.

Asked for a golden blonde toner instead I got a khaki ashy toner to my ends also adding, the root colour was overlapped and darker than what I wanted.

During my salon visit I paid for a conditioning treatment that they said it would be split in 4 parts. I complained about this and they said they’ve looked on CCTV and it was put in the toner at the basin. However when actually going back about the colour of my hair, Emma contradicted herself and said it wasn’t, it was put in four parts on your hair.
Lots of back and forth with them saying it’s not ashy, they’ve never done my hair and don’t know my expiations.

Last but not least, I contacted head office for this who was helpful but they all stick together in the end.

I wouldn’t waste my time visiting this salon, the Managers and Salon owner and the customer services team are corrupt, they won’t listen.

Please don’t waste your money.

I want to be polite

I want to be polite. I booked my apt at Doncaster in September for today so plenty of notice and was given the name Becky. Got a phone call about 5pm the previous day could I change it. No. When I arrived I walked in with another lady who says she had a 1.30 with Becky ok so who am I with. I was given the junior and she was polite but I sensed thrown in last minute. I wanted a bouncy blow dry with lots of root lift. I wanted it blown dried with a nice big round brush. It was dried to 99% with her fingers. The round brush never went anywhere near my roots, it was then curled with straighteners. When I said my crown was flat I had a ton of talc powder shaken into it and back combed, so I have a crown not glossy looking like a birds nest and ringlets. More Shirley Temple than Farrah Fawcett. Moral of the story if you get a phone call to change apt it means they’ve messed up and your with the less experienced sadly

Avoid Lloyd!!!

Lloyd at Saks Northallerton ruined my hair and didn't even apologize. Asked for blonde and rose gold highlights, ended up with bright dark pink block colour on the top. Paid , £160 and when I asked for a refund the following day it was refused...company policy apparently in breach of the consumer rights law!
His bio on the website states he's a colour specialist with attention to detail?! Joke

As discussed with the salon, after going back in for further advice and still not being completely happy with your hair, the salon offered you either a full complimentary cut and colour on your next visit or a £100 refund. You chose the refund option, which has now been processed and paid.

Want to begin by saying my…

Want to begin by saying my Stylist/colourist was absolutely lovely at the Barnard Castle salon.
Value for money was not good I asked for a full head of highlights to blend my grey and a cut, I ended up with half a head of highlights and a colour.
The colour was semi permanent and washed out after a week and the foils are oddly placed it looks a mess I have yellow blond highlights and a ginger base with my grey exposed after spending £200 ! Feel robbed and off on a 2 week holiday in the sun so goodness knows what it will look like when I get home.

Excellent and professional staff

I had my hair cut by Stevie-Lee in the David Lloyds Saks in Aberdeen. She was super friendly and offered me refreshments throughout my appointment which was lovely. She also showed me at each cutting stage if I was happy with the length and she also advised me which length would suit my hair style and my face. Was lovely to get pampered and to have a nice chat. I will be booking my cuts again with Stevie-Lee or by any of the other ladies that welcomed me into the shop today, thank you again!

Had an amazing pedicure, hard skin the lot , birthday present from son , been before, always happy, my feet feel amazing, relaxing, lovely setting, omg the attention to detail was great , very happy would recommend x

Ben cut my hair today

Ben cut my hair today. 1st time at Saks.
It’s the best haircut I have had for a long time. I am so pleased!!
Thank you Ben I will definitely come back even though it’s a bit of a drive to get to Hertford.

Ignorance,unhygienic, .

Really looking forward to my appointment got there early by 20mis appointment was 5pm for a cut blow dry eye brow shape.salon seemed untidy,staff very quiet,one member of staff busy ,other one wasn't,got to 525 I asked who and when will I been seen she said waiting on the other assistant to do you,who was still blow drying at 530.Now a reputable hairdressers, should at least train staff to say sorry for delay she will be with you,but got nothing but blank expressions,customer service skills are easy to do .I have been and choose reputable hairdressers who charge more than most,I get a service with a smile,comfort,and acknowledgement. Coat off few minutes and sorted that's service not ignorance for the price you pay.training on hygiene, manners needed here at saks.never use again.i asked for my coat and left glad I did not give my money away for such a poor miserable service.

Disappointing Service and a Painful…

Disappointing Service and a Painful Experience – Never Again!

If I could give zero stars to Saks Hair Salon, I would. I booked in for lowlights, expecting a subtle, multi-dimensional look, but what I got was a flat, lifeless blob of color—hardly the professional finish I was paying for.

To make matters worse, the technician’s approach was unnecessarily rough. Despite me repeatedly telling her about my sensitive scalp, she continued to yank at my hair, ignoring the clear discomfort I was in. It got so bad during the blow-dry that I had to ask her to stop because I simply couldn’t take it anymore.

And then, as if the entire ordeal wasn’t bad enough, she suggested I book in for a haircut next! Unbelievable, given the subpar service and lack of care throughout the appointment.

Saks, this was a deeply disappointing experience. I won’t be returning.

Fabulous customer service

Although I’ve not had an experience of having my hair cut or styled here, I was very appreciative and impressed with their customer service recently. I had purchased a gift card online, to be emailed to my sister for her birthday. I am one of those foolish people who went through with the purchase without confirming the email address first and when I checked with my sister to find out if she’d received the email, she’d told me she used a different address now after being hacked. So I phoned the Union Square Aberdeen Shop and spoke with Pamela who was extremely helpful and efficient but had to transfer me to head office due to me purchasing the card online. Using the details Pamela supplied, I then spoke with Louise in their head office who was as equally pleasant and helpful, and sorted out my error in a jiffy. As I say, I really appreciate the help they gave. I must admit, I had been expecting a certain level of obnoxiousness given my stupid mistake however that couldn’t have been farther from what happened. Thank you again to everyone I dealt with.

Poor value for money

Booked to have my hair cut and roots/regrowth coloured.
The salon was clean and tidy and the staff pleasant.
The dye used has lasted a bit better than that used by my previous salon BUT the haircut consisted of half a dozen snips and my hair was not blow dried.
Having spent £83 of my hard earned money I expected to come out of the salon feeling special and like it was money well spent. I certainly didn’t and won’t be going back.

Extremely Happy

Wanted to see Zoe who highlighted and cut my hair last visit, unfortunately she was busy so saw Narinder.- Now I'm not a easy customer and very critical of my colour and cut. Gotta say I was really impressed. Narinder understood my hair and what I wanted. She is a lovely lady and we chatted throughout. I will definitely be going back and would highly recommend her to friends and family. A big thank you to her and the team.

I have been going to Saks for over 10…

I have been going to Saks for over 10 years now, for both Hair and Beauty services, and I always look forward to my visits. I'm always made to feel very welcome and all the team are so friendly and do a fantastic job. I really can't fault them, and can't recommend them highly enough.
I also love Saks as a brand, so inspirational in their sector, and also with their collaboration with The Eve Appeal charity.
