I wasn't happy with results I got back…

I wasn't happy with results I got back and your team made no effort to try and accomodate me even after I offered to pay extra money to delete all the attorneys data axel came back with on my list and have them replaced with another industry... I gave them a list of 20 plus different businesses and they came back with mainly attorneys which aren't good for my biz prospecting. very frustrated with data axel currently!!!!

Disappointed is an understatement—avoid for email marketing

I’m writing this to save someone else the massive headache and wasted budget we just endured. If you are looking at Salesgenie specifically for their Email Campaign Builder, do not waste your money. The issues started immediately with deliverability, as our undeliverable rate was a staggering 60%. The primary reason is that Salesgenie apparently cannot reach Gmail inboxes. In a world where Gmail holds nearly a third of the global market share, being unable to hit those accounts is a total dealbreaker for any serious business.

The technical standards here are also stuck in the past. They don’t use secured (https) tracking links in their emails, which is basic Email Marketing 101. When I caught this during testing, I was explicitly assured the actual campaign would be secured and that only the testing server sends unsecured links. That turned out to be completely false. This is a massive issue because desktop users who click those unsecured links are met with a glaring warning stating the site doesn't support a secure connection and may not be trustworthy. Who is actually going to continue clicking through after seeing a security warning like that? It completely destroys your click-through and conversion rates. When I addressed this with the person who gave me that initial assurance, the response was essentially a shrug and a "that’s what I was told," making it clear that Salesgenie seriously needs to educate their staff on the fundamentals of their own product.

The platform's reliability and logic are equally frustrating. I scheduled an email for a Tuesday, and it didn't actually send until the following Monday, which is absolutely unacceptable! Furthermore, there is a 5,000-send cap per email and zero conditional logic. If you have a list of 50,000 contacts, you have to manually download sent lists and re-upload them as suppression lists over and over just to reach your entire audience. Every other modern service handles this logic (e.g. if the recipient received campaign X, don't send campaign Y), yet Salesgenie makes you jump through manual hoops.

To top it off, the sales experience was incredibly off-putting. Our sales rep leaned hard into "used car sales" tactics. Immediately after I agreed to a price, she claimed I only had four business days to decide before the rate increased. I simply told her that doesn't work for me.

This software feels outdated, logic is nonexistent, and the sales tactics are predatory. Save your sanity and your marketing budget by looking elsewhere.

Using their platform for generating leads

The sales agents were professional and knowledgeable about their product. The problem I had with the overall performance of their product is that I've discovered that it is not efficient for someone trying to create leads for life insurance via email messaging. This is where I was mislead, whether intentionally or not. I was told that agents used them "a lot" for generating leads. But there is no way a person could send out 650 professionally created emails and get zero responses. It's not their fault that I received no responses. I just believe they should be more transparent and simply say they aren't aware of many, if any, persons trying to create life insurance leads have been successful. Then let me decide if I want to use their platform for that purpose. I canceled but of course I'm stuck with paying them a minimum of 2 months worth of nothing due to the 30 day written notice rule they have.
