Awful experience - do not buy from here

I ordered a lamp for £85 on the 8th January 2024. Other than the automated email I received after I paid online confirming my purchase, I haven’t heard or received anything from the company regarding my order. I’ve tried calling & emailing numerous times to find out when it will be delivered and I’ve had no reply. Such a shame to be out of pocket. Do not buy from here, I believe it is a scam.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Ordered 2 blankets - after a very long time only 1 was sent to me. The postage stamp confirms the weight of just 1 blanket was sent to me, despite paying for 2. I have tried to reach the company via phone, email, Facebook and insta. No reply from any. Now having to make a claim for refund via credit card.

Do not buy from this company! They are a scam company, you place an order with them and you never receive your order. They don’t answer any emails and also don’t answer through the phone! I had to get in touch with my bank to get a refund for the item purchased! AWFUL COMPANY

Very poor customer service

Very poor customer service. We have a faulty product that needs replacing and after the first email response saying they needed to check with their supplier - we have had radio silence. They simply need to provide a replacement product but it seems like they are passively refusing to. This has been ongoing for months now with no resolution. Very disappointed and would not buy again.

Buyer beware!!

Buyer beware. This is the first time I have EVER had to use PayPal to try to get my money back. Absolutely shameful service.

Ordered item which was due to arrive in 2-3 weeks. 2 months later and not had any communication from the seller other than an order confirmation. Item never arrived.

I have emailed and Facebook messaged the seller to no reply. I have called the shop 6 times, having being promised to receive a call back from the person who processes the online orders. Never received a single call back.

Communicate with your customers better or expect more of the same reviews!

Do not buy from this shop

They have advised me that they don’t have the item I bought in stock, I have requested a refund. They have not replied or given me a refund despite ordering 2 weeks ago. Do not buy from this shop! Money is tight for everyone at the moment and this shop appear to think it is acceptable to steal money from customers!

We went the shop in ST Ives and found a mirror we liked it wasn’t in stock so we ordered on line on the 11th of March still haven’t received it.
Tried sending emails no response phoned shop got an answer from the lady shop assistant the reply was I will get him to call you who his I don’t know still no call back. So this morning the 25th of March we are going to the shop a try to get a refund.
I called the shop before we left saying I was coming for a refund the lovely lady who answered said I can’t give refunds you will have to talk to to owner the one who didn’t answer any of my previous messages.
When we got to the shop we told your mirror will hear by 2 funny that I said I wanted a refund we got it in the end so please do not order anything off line from this business.

If it was possible I would give them 0/5 stars because that’s what the website deserves.

I have now realised that I have been scammed and that Sandcornwall is a dodgy website. I placed an order on 7th May. I emailed them on the 15th of May out of curiosity because I realised that there was no mention of a delivery timescale on their website or in my purchase confirmation email, so I wanted to find out when I would receive my order.

They emailed me back the same day saying that they will be getting more in stock soon so “hopefully” I should receive it within the next 2-3 weeks.

Turns out I had bought something that wasn’t even in stock and they knew this and failed to be transparent and say that I was PRE-ORDERING at least then, I would’ve know that what I ordered was nor currently in stock but I will still receive it in the next 2-3 weeks.

I sent them a reply on 4th June saying that it was now 2-3 weeks late and I stil have not received my order. I also said that should have been honest about my order not being in stock rather than have me waiting around for something that was not even available - they didn’t respond.

I called their store twice but they do not answer their phone so that was waste of time as well. So today I sent them a 3rd email asking where my order is as it’s now the 23rd of June but I now realise that I will never get my order ans emailing them again is pointless because they will not respond.

I do not believe that I will receive my order. I have been scammed and their website is fake and dodgy and being run by fraudulent scammers.

I am going to report them and contact my bank for a request of a money back. Don’t be fooled by the look of their website. My advise is AVOID, AVOID, AVOID, this website and DO NOT purchase anything from them. They will steal your money.

Awful experience

Awful experience.
I placed an order on the 3rd of March 2022 for a nest of tables, my delivery date was the 2nd April. Numerous phone calls, emails with no response. I had to contact the neighbouring shop to pass on my email to ensure they received it. I did then get a call from Matt on the 13th May who apparently is the owner and assured me they would be arriving the following week, with me for delivery the week after. It’s now the 8th June and still no tables and no communication from the company. Again no response to my emails and they don’t answer the telephone. I’ve left two messages this week with no reply.
Awful service and is this an illegal set up?

Undelivered items and poor service

I ordered a nest of tables from this company last month, and I have not received my delivery despite the website providing assurance that items will be delivered within two weeks. I have also had no response to calls, voicemails and emails. If I do not receive my delivery or communication from this company soon, I will take further action with the consumer ombudsman.

Absolutely shocking avoid at all…

Absolutely shocking avoid at all costs!! Taken my money for my table 5 weeks ago heard nothing. Despite ringing the shop where the lady claims she has nothing to do with online orders and several emails later still no response!!! Fuming 😡 they have my money and I have no table taking it further!!!

5 Weeks Since Order Confirmation

I am yet to receive my order that I placed 16th Dec 2021, or receive any updates of shipping/delivery. I have emailed twice, messaged on Instagram and also called 3 times (no answer)
I understand there are delays with shipping at the moment but I would just like an update on whether or not my order is still being processed or a rough idea on when I will be receiving as it’s been over 8 weeks now with no communication.

I cant give any more stars at this point. Ordered a lamp and lamp shade as a birthday gift. At no point of ordering was it stated that there would be a delay. I have emailed this company asking when it will be shipped and received no reply. Poor customer service. Order 11622. edited: Matt calls me and tells me he doesn't know when I will receive my order, tried to rush the call. Got quite shirty when i told him to refund. However the refund was completed promptly. Its a real shame with this company. They sell some beautiful items, however their customer service and deliver lets them down. Edit: In answer to your comments below. You only started calling me when i posted a bad review. Before this my email was ignored. Delivery stated on the website is up to two weeks. On our last conversation Matt you still could not tell me when i might get a delivery. Your attitude was appalling and you really shouldnt be working in customer service. Please dont use the "Pandemic" as an excuse for poor customer service. I will keep the star rating i have given you and that is being generous.

We have called this customer twice in 48hrs to discuss her order. Our delivery time of 7-28 days is clearly stated on our website.
The order was placed on 30th of July and she has asked for a full refund which we have now authorised so we do feel the star rating is a little unjustified.
Given the pandemic/brexit in the delivery world these times maybe varied.

I ordered a mirror which I had struggled to source as the range has been discontinued.I received my mirror today and am very happy to say the least with the product and excellent customer service I received from Matt.

My experience with Sand/Cornwall has been nothing but outstanding from start to finish. Every question answered either by email/text or telephone.

Delays have been inevitable with these challenging times but Matt has been true to his word which must have proved difficult.

My table arrived prompt from delivery company and with ease because of Covid. Chairs have just arrived and I couldn’t be happier - delivery company first class.

Can’t wait to visit their shop in St Ives when visiting Cornwall in September.

I would definitely recommend them

I had to email them in order to chase up about my order, however I do understand that I placed my order whilst there were restrictions in place and so whilst there was a holdup I have found people at sand Cornwall to be extremely polite and helpful, once they found out that I hadn’t received my order this was rectified and I received my order extremely quickly.
The products themselves blankets are absolutely beautiful quality and well worth the money. I would highly recommend Sand Cornwall to anybody.
I would ask people that we do need to help small businesses in this country, they don’t always get it right but the majority like sand Cornwall do try and need us to use them otherwise they won’t succeed.
I would and will definitely be using them again thank you 😊
