This organisation belieft helping children, but she take it voor him self

This organisation keeps harassing me for money every week I get messages asking for money, you can’t opt out as the number does not work.

After being a sponsor for 12 months I asked Save the Children to cancel my sponsorship in September 2023. It’s now Feb 2024 and they still will not cancel my direct debit. Though I am in the UK they have signed up my sponsorship IN USA without my knowledge so cancelling a POS payment via a UK bank account is near impossible. They are committing fraud as far as I’m concerned and never will be supporting again

Had 2 guys at door mock me after I said I already gave to the homeless. I said I was ill with a disability which is why it took me time to get to the door of my bungalow. He replied I'd better save myself, laughed at his mate then ran off. I couldn't believe my eyes or ears. So they dont vet the character of their staff for the vulnerable and theyre likely on commission. Tried calling the belfast office to advise. No voicemail, constantly absent t for hours. Not great representation for a whole city of a main charity. I rang their head office who were apologetic but haven't called again as promised. All this near Xmas during a huge public campaign. I won't be donating ever again.

Will constantly refuse to donate to this charity after their error in not allowing Sandi Toksvig to host their 75th anniversary event because they didn’t know what Princess Anne would make of a Lesbian. What a poor decision by the board. Save the Children apart from the gay ones. Sandi Toksvig had been an ambassador for 20 years and this was how they thanked her. Poor judgement and there have sadly been examples of others. Antiquated fixed mindsets are very disappointing.

Transparent, wonderful charity. Don't believe the haters, read about their projects and the great work they're doing.

I’m sorry but we’ve been donating billions of pounds over the decades. I obviously understand it’s not the children's fault, kids will always be the victims!

What I cannot understand is why we carry on donating when parents are bringing children into this world in war zones or famine. You see a lot of these parents having 8 children and then they cannot provide for them. Or indeed they have children in a situation that’s not safe.

I believe you’re missing the point, Surely you should be educating people and providing contraception so they are not bringing children into this world they simply cannot look after. Instead of asking the British public to pay for their ignorance??? Maybe I’m wrong, but I don’t think so.

We’ve sent billions to Africa since Live Aid etc…. There should be a fresh drinking source every square mile for the amount of money we’ve sent. But there isn’t is there! Nothing has changed. Never will!!

Let’s look after children in this country, where most people are responsible, fall on hard times and starve themselves to feed their children, let’s help the people that want to help themselves. Not irresponsible people abroad, that simply have children in numbers hoping a couple will survive that war zone or famine.

BEWARE I was stopped by 'Lennon', a Save The Children salesman, just before Christmas. Wanted to make a one-off donation of £10, was told that wasn't possible but would receive a follow up phone call whereby I could cancel or change my donation. I did receive that phone call and, as with the clever manipulation of Lennon, was talked into making £5 monthly donations to be taken from my account at the beginning of every month by direct debit. They took £10 in January and £10 in February despite agreeing to £5 per month. I called my bank to cancel the direct debit only to learn that Save The Children had arranged a Continuous Card Payment, more difficult to cancel than a direct debit and had to go through the fraud department to do so. Was advised by my bank to phone Save The Children to confirm cancellation, after being repeatedly put on hold I was informed that my 'request to cancel donations' would be passed to head office, as if they have the power to decide whether I cancel them or not.
I've recently learned of extortionate CEO'S salary and now feel that Save The Children is more of a money making scam than a charity for the good of children worldwide.
Please think twice before donating your money and review other charities before making your decision.

Just reviewed the salary of numerous CEO’s and Directors earn. This so called charity should be ashamed. You will not be getting a penny of my money. I’d rather give it straight to the poor families in need

Yet another "charity" (Business) that pays its CEO in excess of £140,000 p.a. and runs expensive TV ad fundraisers.
JUSTIFY such high salaries, rather than just saying this is what comparable CEOs "earn".
Too much money is being diverted to those running the business and not enough being spent at grass roots level.
These "charities" need better regulation to stop them profiteering.
Ripping-off the public in the name of "charity" doesn't justify what you are doing.

Do not donate to this company. I was approached about making a donation in Philadelphia. The canvaser asked for a 1 time donation. I thought, no big deal, I’ll donate once. My bank asked me why withdrawals kept coming out to this company, because they thought it was fraudulent. I found out these people for, 3 years, had made 3 withdrawals out of my account each year of varying amounts from $281 to $360 (higher than my initial donation of $200). I reported (my bank did as well) them to the Better Business Bureau. They were able to recover the last two withdrawals, but not the others. Then, these people had to audacity to call me and ask why I wasn’t donating anymore, and when I told them what the issue was…they got mad and hung up on me. They are con artists.

I always get sick when i see the commercials. They're 50 times a day on the TV and the only thing I get to see is sick and hungry children instead of seeing what happens with all the money.. they earn there money over the back of those children and could spend the money they spend on all those commercials to the children. I dont know much but I do know it really cost a lot of money to send out all those commercials sometimes even on 2 or 3 channels at the same time !!!!! Dont trust this for a bit !! Dont believe the money will go to the children. Rather spend my money on something like this when I see happy children and see what happens with the money instead of seeing sick and hungry children. Making us watchers feel sorry for those children with those commercials 50 times a day.. ? Shame on you.

Everyday 3 to 10 years old kids rape, no law, no protection, no support, how can you help them?

i am a journalist and a writer who was born in Pakistan, but I have lived my life in UK. The 4 year old was asked to take her trouser off in front of police, media and reporters to show to the World her private part after raped which was horrendous. I just cry and cry by looking it on my computer.

This is not right. How can you ask a child to take the trouser off. I haven't slept properly for days, i am heart broken. This is a Muslim Country "Pakistan". They rape kids, murder them brutally, throw them in the bin after rape. Police do not take any action. There is no justice. Police hardly take action if it is low class criminal.

I am sad and so sad. I like to send you the link which is on face book. I am so sad. No one should release the ID of a child, this is torture for families. How would she feel when she grew up? They will kill her before her teen.

Many years ago, 5 year old boy was raped by 5 men in the village.

Whoever read this, advise me, help me to take serious action. There is no Islamic Law consider when it comes to our Pakistan Children.

Both Donald Trump and Thesresa May continue to sell billions of dollars in weapons to the Saudis, which they then use on Yemeni civilians.

And we're supposed to be 'the good guys'....
