Misleading information on website ...

The problem with this company is their website states items, in my case decking sets, are in stock when they are not. I found this out when I was clarifying delivery windows the day before it was scheduled. It was only then they informed me the items ordered would not be in stock until the end of the following week, despite continuing to be listed as in stock on their website for days afterwards. If I had not enquired I would have waited all day for a non-existent delivery. They admitted their error (while not updating their website) and, to be fair, immediately issued a full refund so an extra star for that. Another company (edecks) delivered the equivalent item within a week, but by then I had missed a week of clement weather and am behind schedule.

To clarify, the decking set was not out of stock within our business overall, however the stock allocation for our national delivery depot had been delayed arriving from the supplier. As a result, the product needed to be transferred across from another depot before dispatch could take place.

We appreciate that this was not communicated as clearly or as early as it should have been, particularly after you contacted us to confirm delivery timings. Once the issue was identified, our team acted immediately to offer a full refund, which we are pleased was processed promptly.

We completely understand your disappointment, especially where project timing and good weather were factors, and we appreciate you taking the time to leave balanced feedback regarding the refund process.

Very disappointing

Very disappointing! ordered a 3m x 3m decking base on line. Paid a premium of circa £60 for delivery, only for the base to turn up an item at a time and past the agreed timeline for delivery. The last item was delivered after i had completed the project. I ended up buying the timber from a local timber merchants to finish the frame.
I complained and despite all the inconvenience and premiums paid i was refunded only for the items that didn't turn up and was charged for the delivery of the parts that were dispatched. Its like eating at a restaurant where you send the food back but are charged for the 2 green beans and half a potato that you managed to eat. I won't be using Savoy timber again any time soon.

We completely understand your frustration, especially after paying a premium delivery charge and working to a project deadline. Unfortunately, in some areas we rely on third-party couriers for larger decking and timber deliveries and, on this occasion, the service did not meet the expected timescales, resulting in parts arriving separately and too late for your project.

While the undelivered items were refunded immediately, we appreciate your comments regarding the delivery charges and overall inconvenience caused.

Awful service - they do not care.

Awful service.
Absolutely zero customer service. Lost a days money waiting for a delivery. I called at lunchtime to confirm delivery. 8.15pm still no delivery. No phone call, emailed twice but they do not reply. Lorry arrived the next day at 6.30 am which I then had to unload myself.
If you are running a business please avoid this company.

We are very sorry for the experience you had and completely understand your frustration, especially after losing a working day waiting for the delivery.

Having reviewed this, it appears the driver encountered delays and ran out of permitted driving hours, meaning the delivery had to be completed early the following morning. While this can occasionally happen within the transport industry, we appreciate this should have been communicated to you far more clearly at the time.

We also apologise for the lack of updates and response to your emails, as this is not the level of service we aim to provide.

Ordered 12 closed slatted fence panels…

Ordered 12 closed slatted fence panels paid upfront (2 weeks prior) and the day before they were due to be delivered they phoned and said , sorry we haven’t got those fence panels in .. they had two weeks to sort this out instead I’ve lost valuable time of work and a whole day wasted , maybe next time let your customers know way beforehand and not one day before to let them know you don’t have the stock in store .. now I’m waiting on near a £500 refund which can take anywhere up to 3-5 days .. shocking service

We are very sorry for the frustration and inconvenience caused here.

Our closed board fence panels are manufactured by ourselves and, during this period, we experienced an unprecedented volume of orders which unfortunately created delays within production. Our teams were working around the clock to fulfil orders as quickly as possible, however we fully appreciate that this does not change the impact on you or the late notice you received.

We completely understand your frustration at only being informed the day before delivery, particularly after ordering and paying two weeks in advance, and we apologise that the delay meant you had to source materials elsewhere.

Your refund was processed immediately from our side, though banking times can unfortunately take 3–5 working days to clear depending on the payment provider.

We are sorry we let you down on this occasion and appreciate your feedback.

Lost 2 weeks waiting

Lost 2 weeks waiting for a couple of doors, had to cancel and order elsewhere, fine we’ll cancel, not an explanation or apology, from a non named person just Savoy Timber,

NEVER AGAIN! They clearly don’t give a damn about the needs of customers! My order number was #0002xxx50

None existent customer service

Needed to change a delivery date after an order was placed, but could not get hold of the Wigan branch for love nor money. Called multiple times over multiple days, nor did we receive any response to the email sent.

Poor customer service agent…

I have today looked on the savoy timber website and subsequently ordered some doors. I required expedited delivery for the doors as they require fitting this week. I read through the delivery and home delivery options finding an option for deliveries on orders made before 10.30, this option should be selected at checkout. If the delivery option isn't offered at checkout telephone for an express delivery quote. I completed the order and made a call to customer services. The call handler stated the company do not offer an express delivery, he didn't know why I thought they did. I explained it was on the web site reply "no it isn't " a little argument followed regarding lead times. I then took him through the website page by page to where it does state it reply " oh, we don't do that on doors"
I pointed out that it was misleading he replied " no its not" . I informed him that his attitude as a customer service agent was not very good he replied " yes it is" I asked for his name which he gave as Dave, the conversation went downhill from then and was terminated by him.
Please be aware all of the 6000 products are not avaliable as an express delivery option.
I have received a telephone call from Anthony who expressed his concerns over what had occurred. He has made an apology on behalf of the company and assured me the website will be looked at and corrected where necessary,which I was happy to accept.
I have had good previous experiences with this company and hope that this is a one off.
