SBL moved me to another level. SBL has the content needed to unlock those missing links. I like that you can mark them and review them later. And don't talk about the groove trainer ... you can play and feel like a pro playing with the best drummers around.

Great influence, great positive encouragement. Follow-ups, information, and lessons are available for all levels of bass playing. There is also great information on all types of music. I have been playing bass since 1969, and I always find something new to learn and discuss. Every time I want to learn about different types of music or study bass playing and music. Member since 2018.

I bought the SBL Academy Lifetime Membership 4 years ago because I was playing with professional musicians in a theatre, and since I have never had any formal musical education, I was missing some stuff like music reading, modern harmony, walking bass and jazz.

It is not magic; you have to study, but the content is so good and fun to learn. I strongly recommend it if you want to level up or fill the gaps in your knowledge. I also bought the Jazz Accelerator and the Slap Accelerator. I have enough for the next 20 years :)

With out a doubt Scott's Bass Lessons is the best on-line resource and learning website for bass players of all abilities. I have learnt so much over the years - some of which didn't make a lot of sense at first, but I am so glad I stuck with it. Highly recommended. Many thanks

I joined SBL back in 2017, and haven't regretted a minute of it. If you're a bassist who wants to improve their playing - in any area, technique, theory knowledge, creativity, time and rhythm - then get yourself onto SBL. It's focussed, so it's better than YouTube, trust me.

This is a fantastic music learning platform. While no online platform can match (in my opinion) a great private teacher, SBL has an incredible library of video resources including live seminars with some of the best bass players and teachers in the world. There's also a great chat/message board community where you can ask questions and share ideas with other bass players around the world. If you are a little bit self-motivated, this is the gold standard for online music learning.

I desided to bite the bullet and focus my learning.
The courses are well paced, and its easy to find what you are looking for to learn next. Within weeks people noticed my playing has improved !

The courses, faculty, and production are all ace. It is a fantastic value, and the range of participation options makes it affordable.

I am so happy you guys did this. Very thorough and well paced for quasi-beginner like me. I am stepping away from private lessons completely for now as I feel myself improving in all aspects with the learning path and pathways exercises. I'm in for the duration!

This review is solely based on experience with support and methods.

Last year, I was subscribed to SBL and was somewhat happy with the contents and learning. At a certain point I broke my wrist and doctor was planning to take me to surgery. Obviously my downtime would be long so I asked SBL to pause my subscription so I could come back to the content after healing. I was met with a very big no. Pay attention with their guaranteed refunds and "excellent support".

It is a shame that support provided is subpar compared to the quality of the contents. It's because of the quality that I give them two stars. I would give support 0, if I could.

Today I was planning to join a new course from them - Full Stack Bassist - but because of past experiences, I didn't before emailing support. Same person, same type of reply. No catering for client needs.

SBL offers bass resources and education at every level. I have a master's degree in music and have been in education for 27 years--but I still gain advice to help me get out of ruts in my playing. This has given me practical ways to approach my playing.
