Contracted via HSBC to provide basic…
Contracted via HSBC to provide basic valuation on our heritage property. The surveyor made a basic clerical error on the nature of the construction. It was probably a box ticking error but has made the property unmortgagable with our current lender. Pointless waste of time that is impossible to correct meaning we have to start again when experts in the field of lime render could easily identify the correct construction method. Poor and hugely frustrating. Avoid if it matters as obviously poorly trained and overworked.

Excellent service again
Had another survey done today by SDL Surveying with Paul Fieldson being the person who attended. I received a text message first thing this morning giving me the time slot and the timing of him arriving was spot on. Paul was professional, efficient and thorough on his inspection and advised my tenant on what he was there to do. Another professional service from Paul Fieldson @ SDL. Appointments delayed and inflexible.
Appointment system difficult to work with. No choice of date or time offered. Earliest appointment available was 2 weeks after requested so just had to take whatever we could get and work around them.

Surveyor arrived and introduced himself.
Exsplained what he was needing to do and places to access and take some photos.
After completing the task explained what would happend next and I should recieve confirmation of survey being forwarded to bank.

Effortless process from the start to finish. Easy to book, the surveyor was lovely and he explained the process to us very well. I also like the fact that text updates kept us in the loop throughout the remortgaging process.

Text messages let me know the date and the night before I got a 2 hour time slot. The surveyor arrived within the allocated slot and was polite and efficient. The survey was sent to my lender later that same day. Very efficient
