HAWES & CO Wimbledon (Goodfellows) I used this agency based upon their promise, commitment and knew the owners from their previous employers Hawes & Co.
They found me tenants , no dispute here. However, the withheld vitally important information about the tenants which was close to lies as one could get.
References are a security net for landlords, you would think? If you do not pay your own reference agency, you’re at the mercy of the Agents own Reference Company and you are then left to do your own detective work to ensure the tenants are who the agents tell you they are.
Be warned, this company tried to coerce me to accept 4 unemployed tenants with a guarantor who was not in a secure financial position. 12 months down the line had I agreed I could have found myself in a situation where the local council could force me to continue the tenancy on the grounds of making persons homeless.
Be warned, do your homework on tenants, their financial status, employers etc can affect your legal case.
SADLY ROS response is lacking integrity or truth, they were not working - the reference agency could only base their references upon their work history or personal income in their individual bank accounts - this is information no Landlord can have access to -
the company tried to get the landlord to purchase cheap wardrobes for the property and a freezer - if they were upstanding they would not have requested this? Sorry ROS- the facts remain your proposed tenants were unemployed - you could not get their father to support the rental and you offered one years rent - RED FLAG TO ANYONE who knows this is a hidden agenda. Please stop here your embarrassing yourself
