A very disappointing experience…
I had a very disappointing experience with See’s Candies. I placed an order on November 30th for delivery before December 12th, which was my aunt’s 70th birthday. I made sure to order in advance, and I received an email confirmation that my order and payment had been processed. Everything seemed fine.
However, on the day of delivery, nothing arrived. I received no notification about any issues. When I called the company, they told me there was a problem with my credit card, even though my card was charged (and about $4 was returned back later). Despite their assurances that they would call me back, they didn’t follow through until I called again. In the end, they refunded my gift cards that I used for payment but offered no meaningful apology or resolution.
This was incredibly disappointing, as I wasn’t able to give my aunt a special gift for such an important milestone. Neither I nor my family could make her feel celebrated, and See’s Candies did nothing to make up for their error. I would have expected them to honor the order or at least send something as an apology for their mistake, but they didn’t.
I won’t be ordering from See’s Candies again, and I would caution others about relying on them for special occasions.

Thank you for your response. While I appreciate the offer to investigate further, I’m afraid the damage has already been done. This was an important occasion, and the failure to deliver the order or provide timely communication caused a lot of disappointment.
I was told that the refund for my order #19876894 would be issued in the form of gift cards, but I have not received them yet.
I hope this feedback helps your team improve processes for the future, as I wouldn’t want others to experience a similar situation.

REALLY BAD SERVICES OVERALL
I was going to order a box of chocolate for Christmas for our client (corporation) this morning.
At the end, the error message popped and tried with other browsers with same result, tried with other credit card also end up with error. Called , no one answers and left a phone number.
Received a call in 35 minute and he asked me to give all info over the phone with one day delay of the delivery.
I concerned and tried to send a screen-shot to him and he hung up on me.
He had all of my info include phone number and email but never received any call from this company.
Today is 12-12-2024 and WILL NOT GO TO EVEN NEWARBY SEE'S CANDYS.

DELICIOUSLY HAPPY MEMORIES THEN AND NOW!
Some of my earliest memories of childhood are going into the See's Candies store at the Fresno Fashion Fair Mall with my great grandmother, grandmother, or mother. They all enjoyed their favorite treats at the magical, meticulously clean, always friendly staffed, black and white tiled, "See's shop." I quickly learned that anything from this magical place, on a little pop stick, was unbelievable delicious. As I grew older, I chose nut caramels as my favorite. I have ordered from See's (online) for many years now, and enjoy sharing their treats with friends (most of who have never heard of them until they receive a tin of chocolates). The flavors are still the same, just as I remember them.

I can remember standing in line, from the time I was 5 years old and Long Beach california. Waiting to get in to buy these chocolates. My grandmothers are holding my hand my $1 bill in my hand to buy molasses chips. This candy is par excellence. No questions asked. When I saw two stars I couldn't believe my eyes. Luscious, delectable, rememberable.! Heart
Wherever there's a pop up or a brick and mortar you will never go wrong. I buy it on a regular basis and subscribe to these morsels. Always fresh, never ever stale.

Recipe NOT the same
I recently purchased Sees candy after not shopping there for two years. It is definitely not the same recipe that they started out with and it is more expensive. Will not buy from Sees again. I’d rather buy from Godiva chocolates or somewhere else where I know that I’m getting quality product and not a water down version of what was once a great candy

I have loved Sees Candies for over 10 years now. Every once in a while I like to treat myself to a box of chocolates and I did that today. Well first off the candy sizes have shrunk and the amount they give you has shrunk and the price has increased. Also the taste is so poor now this used to be my absolute favorite candy and now it’s no better than Snickers.
I was trying to Google and see what happened like did they recently become public did a large corporation buy them. I’m trying to understand why the quality is so bad. Even during Covid the quality did not waiver..

Not the same quality
I received my order yesterday, and I’m very disappointed. I’ve been a customer for many years, since I lived in Denver and could shop in person. I’ve told everyone that sees is the best chocolate ever. Not any more. I bought a bag of chocolate balls in Halloween wrap. They’re no better than Hershey’s. There’s no vanilla in them, only vanillin, and they have an awful aftertaste. But the biggest disappointment was my 2-pound assortment. A couple of flavors were incorrect. And the quality is not the same as it was. I don’t know if the vanillin has increased or the chocolates are stale or there’s some other problem. This was a special reward to myself for surviving open heart surgery. I’m just crushed.

Shipping delay for gift order, ultimately addressed by customer serice
Website indicates orders will ship within 48 hours, except orders received Wednesday or later will ship the following Monday. I ordered on Monday and expected my order would ship that week. It did not. It took eight days to "process" and now they are forecasting a full week in shipping.
UPDATE AFTER See's RESPONCE: See's indicated that the order was received in mid-October just as they were changing over their shipping from warm weather shipping to regular cold weather shipping. They offered to send a letter directly to the gift recipient to take responsibility for the delay and take other steps to make amends. In reviewing my account record, I saw that I had ordered from See's 48 times since 2020 without an incident like this, so I guess, particularly given their efforts to make it right, I should be more generous in my assessment of their performance.

I ordered a box of chocolates for my best friend’s mom and it was delivered with the ice packs boiling and the chocolate completely melted four days after the delivery date so it was sitting in the truck. So they said that they’re going to have the chocolates re-delivered and that they will be there on Monday. Yesterday was Monday. They weren’t there. I called the lady. She didn’t even wanna give me a refund. She said she has to get the chocolate rerouted back to her, and then my refund will be given to me and 7 to 10 business days. It’s absolutely ridiculous. I’ve never had to deal with these things so incompetent and unprofessional before I canceled my monthly subscription I’m so completely done with customer service.

See's lacks concern - resolve
I called after your email - to discuss a resolve. Customer service only offered an apology and to cancel this very late reorder in order to get our refund. We had been long time fans of See's and their candy offerings. In the email ..
It sounds like a play on words. (A complementary replacement- at no (extra) charge after we paid for candy that was shown as delivered on your site ... but UPS never received the package -
(See’s you all missed the mark) which caused us to miss giving someone special a See's gift. Because we thought highly of Sees until now.
I am not sure how an order can be a complementary replacement an order we that I paid for and waited and waited for with no track until the date passed.
This is not a favorable remedy being a loyal customer for years - encouraging and buying (year around- major holidays visiting your kios) - and stores during holiday in person, mail orders, all year and seasons along with my coworkers, civic groups, friends and family.
Just not good customer service at all to inconvenience your customers and then offer to let them pay the full price for over one week later.

High prices low quality chocolate
I have always loved Ses's candy. It is top notch. Been ordering this chocolate for over 20 years for different business functions. The last few years I've order for myself and let me tell you that for the prices they charge the quality if the candy is poor. The sizes of the candy has decreased dramatically. If you're going to raise prices you should not take away from the quality. The candy is no longer the same. The chocolate has a stale taste and white markings on the chocolate. In my opinion See's quality standards have gone down but prices keep going up. Look for a new company for chocolate.

Don't waste your money
Staff was awesome, I bought over $200 worth of Easter chocolate. I just ate a bordeaux egg, this was not bordeaux, it was some discusting marshmello cream, I am so disaporinted!
Regarding old stale candy reviews, I used to order for my clients on line. Chocolate was stale . See's sent out a new order, however, it was Christmas and the rest is clear.
Just opened a small foil Easter egg, foil was sticking to the egg, lo and behold, egg has white spots.
Shame on you Warren!

Pricey / Rude
I don't really eat candy anymore, but when I do its See's. I am so disappointed in the company. I know prices are going up but $32 a pound?!! This is almost rare gem prices. I only eat a few varieties that they sell. I wish I could count on not being robbed for a few pieces of delicious candy. Mostly, I have had a good experience with the quality. There have only been a couple of times when the candy tasted a little stale. I went to the downtown San Francisco location to get what little I could afford and a very rude woman with ratty, multi-colored hair "helped me".
I have never had such an unpleasant experience at any other location in the 40 years I have indulged in this company. Please get these prices and the weird looking/acting employees in order or I will have to give you up.

Purchased an assorted box for my wife as she has to eat gluten free. Very poor quality and tasted stale…will never buy again…. Could have bought a box of Snickers for about the same price and they are gluten free too. I really don’t appreciate being ripped off! No I do not want to change my review! The exterior is Awful, don't buy it.
It costs over $7 and is not worth the taste.
The interior is good - walnuts with cream, but the exterior is mushy, and too sweet. The picture on the box doesn't match the actual product. The picture looks like a chocolate exterior, but in actuality it is a dusty combination of horrible ingredients. I fell for it and bought it because I read it had walnuts. That part was OK - but getting to it from the exterior dusty coating --- yuck yuck. Why would I punish myself to pay over $7 for a dusty yucky exterior. Don't buy it!!!

I purchased an e gift card for my grand…
I purchased an e gift card for my grand daughters from Sees Candy online on 2/7/2024. They used it ONCE on 2/8/2024 and had a remaining balance of $106.00. On 2/11/2024 they went to a Sees store and had picked out additional candies but when they got to the counter, they were told that there was a ZERO balance. They did not use this left over $106.00 dollars. My son and I both filed claims with sees 3rd party vendor ‘buyatab’ and made phone calls. Nothing was ever done and we both kept being told that it takes 24 to 48 hours to resolve. We just kept getting the run around and our follow up emails kept generating new case numbers. What a joke. I also contacted Sees corporation and was told to contact their 3rd party vendor ‘buyatab’. What a joke. No one ever explained what happened to their $106.00 balance and they didn’t seem to care. Nor did Sees. This is not the customer service that I expected from such a well respected company that I remembered from the past. My grand daughters were embarrassed and humiliated in the store when they were told that there was nothing left on their e-card. This was in the sees candy shop in front of other customers and for a teenager and preteen they were devastated. I called my bank’s fraud department after a week of being given the run around and they are investigating the incident. I am so angry about this situation and lack of customer service from Sees and their 3rd party vendor ‘buyatab’. I would have rated them ZERO if I could have. VLL
