Loyal See's customers NO MORE!

We've been loyal See's customers for MANY years and were dumbstruck at how horrible the candies were that we just had delivered. I had called because I'd never done an online order before and wanted to ask some questions. They reassured me that our custom dark chocolate order would be built from the freshest stock possible. Our custom order included 8 different faves that we know VERY well. Unfortunately freshness was a minor issue since the outside chocolate had NO flavor and none of the fillings had much flavor or just tasted bad. And the shape/size of the pieces were just "off". This is NOT the candy we've been eating for decades. I hate to do it but this stuff of not worth eating, so it's going into the garbage. ! I hate to see this occur but there is no way we would ever buy any again.

12/2: Thank you See's for being responsive to my concerns. I appreciate it! I'm hoping See's will be able to continue the high quality standard that I've experienced over many years as a loyal customer.

The worst customer service I have ever…

The worst customer service I have ever encountered. My order was held up(?) by UPS. Needed the order by a specific date. Called to have another order overnighted. Rep went back and forth with her supervisor, call got cut off. No call back. Now I start the process all over only to get another CS rep who tells me the woman I spoke to was on another call and she could help me. She takes the order, tells me the shipping charges and right b4 we went forward w the order she quotes me more than double the original shipping cost. Love their chocolates, the worst customer service-will never order from them again!

I walked in to See’s to pick up extra…

I walked in to See’s to pick up extra candy for my grand children. I asked the lady if she could wrap both Halloween boxes for kids. She said how See’s only wraps large boxes. She finally agreed to wrap them. She had the worst attitude about customer service. I have been a See’s customer for decades. I have never witnessed this attitude.

Received a gift card that couldn't be…

Received a gift card that couldn't be used, after 4 months of emails to the company. Then shipping for a one pound box of chocolates is $18 !! I spent months trying to use the card and then $18 of the $25 gift card is required to ship one 1lb box. A rip off....and a gift card system that doesn't function.

DON'T BUY THE SUMMERTIME VARIETY

We LOVE See's candy. Always have...none like it, but recently our dtr. sent us a box as we've been going thru a yr.-long medical and financial crisis and we were SO disappointed w/the choice. Ordered their Summertime Variety, featuring a lot of white chocs., toffees, truffles and chews. Basically, except for abt. 3 pieces, they were almost tasteless. VERY LITTLE filling; almost all nuts and tasteless white choc, and I LOVE white choc. Only 1 toffee, 1 chew, 4 choc. truffles, 1 YUM lemon truffle, and we cldnt even decipher WHAT flavors the others were supposed to be. Very disappointed for the first time ever. Sad to know she wasted her $$, and not sure HOW to tell her not to buy them for herself or anyone else.

Gift card restrictions

I LOVE See's candy! I love to give it to all my friends and family. I purchase the $25 gift cards at a discount using the web site. Recently, when my daughter tried to use hers online, she couldn't use it with the promotion of free shipping because "the card was purchased at a discount."
On the See's web site, they state:
"...See's is ideal for gifting clients and colleagues for all seasons." It's a little embarrassing for clients, colleagues and friends to know that the card was purchased at a discount and that it has undisclosed restrictions for use.

WORST experience!!

WORST experience!!! I ordered 2lbs of candy on a Wednesday. There was NO mention that it wouldn’t ship out until Monday. Set to arrive on Wednesday (a week after ordering)
It never arrived. I tracked it and saw a note saying wrong address. I checked, it was the right address. STILL no word.
Then I get an email today (Thursday) saying it should arrive NEXT Wednesday. Such terrible service. It’s faster to order through Amazon
My Aunt who I was sending it to used to work for See’s Candy and loves it but who knew sending candy could take so long?

I’ve been buying your candy for years.
But your shipping charges have gotten ridiculous.
When the shipping cost almost as much as the Candy, I’ll stick to Hersheys!

...just VERY disappointed in the quality of the candy this season. We've had See's in the past, but the Easter candy I ordered this year was far less than we expected. We received as a gift, candy from other shops that FAR exceeds the quality and flavor of what we received from Sees. Postage is ridiculous to Alaska.....and then to find out that the flavor is VERY lacking. The fruit and nut egg tasted like confectioners sugar with water and cherries. The divinity egg is hard as a rock, and not at all what I remembered divinity tasting like. On top of that, the chocolate coatings just don't have the wonderful chocolate flavor I remember.

Brother sent me a 2 pound box and only a variety of six different types of candies and most were very hard. Will not be spending my money on See's again and neither will my brother. They have gone way down hill.

See's has gone cheap in quality, not price

After bragging about See's for years, I gifted a friend a pound of nuts and chews. How embarrassing to find that at least 1/4 of the box was just chocolate almond clusters! And the chocolate tasted stale. I only wish Warren Buffet had received this box.

Ordered a box & nothing received

Ordered a box & received a confirmation and estimate of delivery date. Nothing arrived and when I called Customer service, they told me the order was canceled, with no explanation. I was told that if I wanted to know why the order was canceled, my only recourse was to send an email to finance, and ask for explanation, No response from the finance people.
No customer service, and no explanation of why they wouldn't sell to me. Maybe its due to the color of my skin.

Don’t waste your dollars here

Ridiculous that you order way ahead of the date you want it delivered. Never arrives on time. How wonderful the day AFTER an anniversary, birthday or Valentine’s Day. They charge a hefty price and yet manage to screw up delivery

See’s has now placed my order. Still no idea why my account has been flagged.

I truly do not understand what is going on at See’s candy ! I hate to write a bad review because I absolutely love their candy and I buy a great deal of it !
I send a three pound box of candy to my elderly Aunt about every three months. The last few orders have been horrible !! They are nice on the phone but say there is nothing they can do. Order is placed and when my card is charged it says my order can’t be completed and I must speak to finance. There is nothing wrong with my card and I can’t even use a different card. When I call back they act like they are in on a secret and the objective is to keep me in the dark. Like I am a candy spy or that I am a horrible person who has been black balled ! Days of waiting and calling with no returned calls. This is somehow attached to my account like a red flag and they will not explain why.
I am so sorry and frustrated because I just want my sweet aunt to get her much loved candy. I sure wish I could get this fixed.

I just got a call from Johnnie Woods and she has worked very hard to get my account straightened out. We set up a subscription for future order to my Aunt. I feel comfortable that this problem has now been resolved. Thank you to See’s customer service.

Best Candy Ever

I ordered a custom mix box. It came in four days. The candy was actually fresh! This is the first box of fresh Sees candy I’ve had in 30 years! I complained about stale candy to management. They were kind enough to send a 2lb box as an apology. That candy was stale. This time- omg! So fresh!!!! Sees is VERY expensive. When it’s fresh, it’s worth it!
