EVIDENTLY SOME POINTS EXPIRED IN PROCESSING THE SAME DAY. THAT SAME DAY (IT WAS ON MY STATEMENT) THEY PUT A 15.17 CHARGE WITH NO EXPLANATION ON MY CARD A CASH CHARGE AGAINST ME. I REDEEMED POINTS FOR CASH I HAD ALREADY SPENT IN THE AMOUNT OF POINTS THEY SAID I HAD AVAILABLE TO REDEEM.THEY ARE CHARGING ME CASH FOR THEIR MISTAKE. AND HOW CAN POINTS MAGICALLY EXPIRE IN A MATTER OF MINUTES ???? THEY SHOULD HAVE JUST CANCELLED THAT GIFT CARD & SENT A NEW ONE IN THE CORRECT AMOUNT. THERE WAS NO CASH VALUE TO ME JUST A GIFT CARD. I NEVER REDEEMED SHOP YOUR WAY POINTS BEFORE THIS AND I NEVER WILL AGAIN. AND FORGET ABOUT A PERSON HELPING YOU. Difficult to spend the rewards
It is so difficult to spend the rewards. You get these dumb virtual cards and it's severely easy to forget about them, it's ridiculous. It's like they don't want you to use them. Then you got one person answering calls about the rewards program who's isn't helpful at all. All she did is refer you to prepaid and there's absolutely no customer service for that. There's no phone number that we can talk to a live person. So it's all on you to figure out how to use the card which is next to impossible. That's all she could tell you. Uh with the master cards and city cards, I had a city card with 14. Dollars on it, and it expired, because they're only good for 6 months. Then they said, oh, earn 5% back if you get a Mastercard, well, it's impossible to use that card. I don't know what the heck. It takes to use that card, but do not do the debit cards at all. Cause it's so hard to use the money. I've tried about 3-4 different stores to use it. And it won't accept it and then it's gotta be the exact amount, especially if you're ordering online. I wish they'd just give us cash back like everyone else. I'm not doing any more rewards chances with them. The only time now I use my sctual credit card if they give me a credit to my account for using the card. So I cashed in my rewards for a virtual mastercard, worst choice ever. I will never do it again. I've tried about 4 or 5 hours of my time trying to spend that card. It's ridiculous. I lost $14 because I got a stupid citi card last year. If you get a mastercard or citi card, they expire in about 6 months after you get them. So don't get the Mastercard or citi card. There is nobody to talk to at myprepaid center. No people at all. I can't figure out how to use my Mastercard. So obviously they do not read the Reviews, because they are at 1.4 stars for shop your way rewards. You need to do something about the complaints. Turn it into cash, not gift cards. I hate it so for now on I will not use my credit card, because I am done with their stupid rewards program. It's very difficult to use the rewards and it should be illegal and looked at as theft. I lost money too because I couldn't figure out how to use the card.And here I did it again, i'm probably going to lose all that money if i'm not careful. I tried to fix my misspelling and misreadings, but it's hard to manipulate the screen to get to the misspoken sections that I want to rewrite. Also another thing I'm irritated about is if you forget to use your rewards before the expiration date and they expire, they will not add them back to your account. Best Buy is awesome for that. If I call the phone number, they'll say, do you want your expired Rewards back, you just press 1 for Yes, and you're done. But no, not shop your way rewards.I just lost thirty dollars as they expired, I forgot about them.
The absolute worst card
The absolute worst card! A charge went through that was declined and I confirmed that I did not want the charge approved. The charge went through at a later time and they will not remove the charge. I hate this card and the people who work there. NO one helps and you are lucky if you can get anyone who speaks English to help.
I suffered identity theft lost all my rewards
I suffered identity theft and alerted SYW of the problem. They allowed over $341 in rewards to be taken and allowed my account to be highjacked. There is no way to resolve this issue. They have transferred me to multiple phone numbers that are not even connected to SYW. The only phone contact to SYW rewards is a digital assistant that repeats a message to go to the SYW website to complain but I can't because they allowed the thieves to take over my account and update my profile. Needless to say I will never use this card since any rewards will be claimed by the ID thieves.

i purched a stove on December. and when it was delivered it was damaged i had no time to let delivery people know because while i turned around they where in the truck leaving.I was calling and calling and calling and calling and getting the run around and getting the run around and i am tired i will NEVER EVER EVER but ANYTHING from sears they used to be the BEST STORE but they do not help there customers mind you the stove was NEVER REPLACED i stayed with stove with dents now when i have people in my kitchen and they see my dented stove i make sure to remind them its from SEARS and they did not want to replace for me to never buy from sears mind you i paid almost $400 for extended warenty SUPER UNHAPPY CUSTOMER
If I could give zero stars
If I could give zero stars, I would. Due to a double charge, I expected a proper investigation and resolution — but nothing meaningful was done. Their dispute team explicitly told me I didn’t need to pay that bill, yet I later found out they reported it as a missed payment to the credit bureau. What a disgrace.
I even provided them with the exact date and time of the call with their dispute team, but they didn’t bother to investigate. Instead, they claimed they are not responsible for credit damage. I have never encountered a company so shamelessly dismissive of its customers and so reckless with the truth.

My wife has been a card member for over 30 years and she had disputed a charge for something that she didn't receive, and they called her a liar and would not credit her. When she asked what proof do you have that the vendor provided me with what I am telling you they didn't, they said they don't have access to the dispute department. This is very poor business.

I'M an Old School Vet. 1 star is 2 much it is really a joke when you try calling for help and when someone ask you how to spell joe your confidence is lost with the person who is helping you and this is after spending 3 different times a minimum of 30 min. each time . all i would like is someone who speaks english and understands me without me repeating myself over and over again . if you have 2 3 hours of your time each time you wanna solve a problem or get your points this card is for your . this isn't the 1st time i use to have my son help me now he refuses to help me with this card because it's too time consuming and said he doesn't want to get high BLOOD PRESSURE like Me. he told me to cancel the card years ago . Don't Waste Your Time with Citibank Cards
I called customer service to have a service charge and interest payment removed from my account after paying the bill in full. Was given the run around and even chided for the final payment not being received on time, even though the system shows the payment received but not credited. All of the runaround for a Sears MC card to a store no longer in business. When I went to complete the survey, the link had already expired.
Update on Shop Your Way Mastercard review
If you see my previous two reviews, you will know my issue is with a dispute over a charge for a purchase made online but never received. Shop Your Way accepted the merchant's fake delivery receipt, ignored or misinterpreted the letter and email to me from USPS stating the tracking number assigned to my order by the merchant was for a different package and delivered to the address on that package that was not my residence, and closed my dispute determining I had to pay $223.55 for a purchase I never received. After emailing Shop Your Way Billing Dispute Dept. and even the Citi Executive Response Unit almost daily for a full month, I finally received an email dated 3/13/25 with the heading, "Billing Dispute Resolved - Important Information" which stated a new letter was posted to my account page online. The letter online announced they had credited my account for the disputed amount, and checking I saw they had made the credit, backdating it to the first day of the current billing cycle. I replied to the email asking if this were actually true and stated I would give them two billing cycles to see if they did not again bill me for this item as they had done previously. Last week I also received a phone call from SYW and was told they have permanently credited my account for the disputed amount. I have changed my rating to three stars from one (in reality, zero) rather than four or more because of all the weeks of frustration and daily emails it took for them to do the right thing and treat me as a valued customer. Hopefully, this issue has finally been correctly resolved, even though they never responded to my repeated requests to cancel or reverse the chargeback to the merchant since they had charged me again and were holding me responsible for payment. They never once acknowledged the issue over the chargeback that had been created last December in any communication with me.

My complaint is this:
We paid a deferred balance off in full, verifying it before the next statement was cut. We switched the deferred interest payment to another balance after this. Because we did this during the same statement period, even though the balance showed as $0, they put our additional payment on the later deferred balance! So they added money owed back to the 0 balance! How is this not illegal? Also, how is it that ANY credit card company can charge this much interest? They are no better than predatory loan sharks and payday loans! If we could just pay it off, we would! But these criminal credit card companies are making money hand over fist, and they do not care about their consumers, not one iota! What is stopping people from quitting paying credit card companies altogether?
Don't honor offers, even when activated, they are not "activated"
They have offered me statement credits 2 times and I have redeemed them and never gotten the credits despite online validation I activated them. I adjusted my payments to their card for 2 months and should have gotten $100 at least and nothing provided. I am paying the card off and will NEVER trust their "activated" offers again- very slimy.

The sure looks like predatory lending to me. I did not authorize any increase in interest rate.

Extremely Disappointed with ShopMyWay Mastercard Delivery and Service…
I applied for the ShopMyWay Mastercard and was informed it would be delivered within a week. It has now been over 10 days, and I still have not received my card.
Adding to the frustration, there are conflicting responses from customer service. In email and chat, I was told the card was shipped on 22nd December, but over the phone, I was informed it was sent on 25th December. This lack of consistency is unacceptable.
I urgently need the card to book a flight, but the delay makes it feel like this process is taking forever. I also asked if temporary card details could be provided or if there were alternative solutions, but no helpful response has been given.
I specifically chose this card because of the welcome points and benefits, but the experience so far has been far from satisfactory. If this is the level of service for a new customer, I dread to think what regular service might look like.
Would not recommend.

This card doesn't rate a star at all. All points expire in a year. Getting a hold of anyone who can help you redeem your points is impossible. Operators are in India, so language is a huge barrier. This is one of the worst EFIN cards you could have if you expect ANY kind of reward for using it. NOT RECOMMENDED
Redeem Points System Fails to Redeem
For sometime now, I cannot access my 153,240 points, that's shown on my statement. Before this round, I could not use 320,000 points that was shown on my statement. They expired because the Shop Your Way (Sears) Redeem link said I had no points. I called all phone numbers possible. When I get put on hold, the call goes to main menu. I've talk to Supervisors & called the Redeem Points phone numbers as well. No support resolution. If the Points system is not working, please credit the dollar amount to my Shop Your Way credit Card.
Sounds like a Class Action Law Suit!
