I have previously left a positive…
I have previously left a positive review for this company, but unfortunately the after-sales care has made me completely reassess this.
I would still say that the fitters themselves are excellent. However, having now had shutters fitted at two properties, my experience has shown me that when something goes wrong, the after-sales service is extremely poor.
As Michael G himself has said, “how a company deals with an issue is how they should be judged.” By that measure, I judge this company very poorly.
The shutters they installed on a Juliet balcony — which are particularly tall and wide — are simply not fit for purpose. The frame is flimsy, the shutters are too heavy, and they do not sit correctly within the frame.
I raised these issues with them 2 weeks ago. Since then, I have sent two follow-up emails and made a phone call, yet I still have no clear indication of what is being done to resolve the problem or even what the route to a solution is. I find this completely unacceptable.
I am not expecting an immediate resolution to what may be a technical issue. What I do expect is basic customer service: acknowledgement, communication and a clear indication that the problem is being actively investigated. Even a simple holding message while they work out how to resolve it would be professional and would demonstrate that customer service is being taken seriously.
I have noticed that responses to other negative reviews often say that the company has been working to improve its service levels. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience. In fact, several things I previously overlooked now appear to form a pattern: the fitter being sent to the wrong property, appointments being made at the point of purchase but then not being properly calendarised, and a general lack of responsiveness to emails.
The quality of the fitting itself is not what has caused me to write this review. It is the way the company handles problems once the sale has been made.
After spending a significant amount of money with a company, I expect much better after-sales support. At present, I feel completely let down by the lack of communication and ownership of an issue that should be being addressed by the company.
For me, this is a serious failure in customer service, and one that has unfortunately changed my overall opinion of the company.
