I attended the intro to BSL for 6 weeks. It was a great experience and Lorna was an excellent teacher. The opportunity to practice communicating through BSL every week made a huge difference.

Thank you Lorna! I really enjoyed the introduction to BSL course, it gave me so much more confidence to use BSL on a day to day basis.

I was very lucky to attend an intro to BSL course through BECTU Vision and Lorna was an incredible tutor to take us through the alphabet, numbers, simple conversational topics and film/TV specific signs. Learning more about deaf culture and history was excellent to ground our learning into reasoning and appreciation of the wider community and culture with BSL users. Everyone in the class had a wonderful time each session and loved Lorna's energy and humour!

Just finished BSL level 1. What can I say! Lorna is an amazing teacher and makes the learning fun. She includes everyone and makes sure you understand. The groups are small and welcoming and the students help each other learn too. If you are looking to learn British Sign Language contact Sign With Lorna for a great learning experience.

Completed BSL Level 1 with Lorna! The course is full on but very rewarding, Lorna as a tutor was patient, flexible and fun. Tutor passionate about the Deaf Community and raising awareness, I learned so much more than BSL and felt supported by Lorna and classmates throughout. I have just completed BSL Level 1 Course with Lorna. I cannot recommend this course enough it has been a fantastic journey. Lorna is very passionate about teaching BSL which is understanding when you listen to her experiences being profoundly deaf. The course can be overwhelming at times but Lorna is very encouraging and supportive throughout. At times i never thought i would achieve my final goal but Lorna is very approachable and definitely the ideal tutor for this course. I definitely recommend anyone interested in learning BSL to contact Lorna. Its been a great learning experience so thank you Lorna 🙂.

Lorna is so passionate about teaching BSL made me feel relaxed and welcome from first class. Lorna teaches class at a good pace and always gets back to you if have any questions about class. The class was fun very interactive and I’m sad it’s over. Going to miss my classes each week 🥰

I have just completed Level 1 BSL with Lorna. Lorna was always very encouraging when things felt tough and overwhelming. She is very patient and supportive.
The Course was a new challenge that I wasn’t fully expecting but it was very rewarding. I did enjoy the course and felt Lorna was an excellent Tutor.
Lorna takes extra time to post video’s of the work learned in class which was very helpful for practising and for completing homework. There were some fun times during the class as Lorna has a great sense of humour and shared some funny stories with us too.
I am very happy to say that I have a grasp of a basic level of BSL. I hope to progress my
learning further, if possible,
with Lorna.

I have just had the pleasure of being taught level 1 sign language by Lorna. I would definitely recommend Sign With Lorna. Lorna is very patient, supportive and encourages you to push yourself even when you think you can’t do it. If you want to learn sign language you will be hard pushed to find a better tutor. This is very challenging but so worthwhile. I have learned so much and can use the skills in the future. Although if you think you can do the course without a lot of practice you will be mistaken. I am really sad that my course has ended but have loved it. Thank you so much Lorna ❤️❤️❤️

Lorna is an extremely patient and supportive teacher. She is passionate about teaching BSL and so enthusiastic too. Lorna is always very encouraging and good at motivating me to do my best. The course is definitely challenging and there were a couple of times that I felt I wasn't going to understand it all but with lots of practise I am happy that I can now understand and demonstrate basic BSL. I loved the classes and Lorna also posted videos of her signing so that I could practise at home. Her classes are fun and she is an excellent teacher. I'm sad that my class is finished for now. I would definitely recommend Lorna for teaching BSL. Thank you so much 👍💐

Lorna came in to our business to give us some BSL lessons to help communicate with a deaf member of staff. Her classes were wonderful, really great fun and we're learning so much. Couldn't recommend her more!

Lorna is a highly effective teacher for BSL. The class started with an intro into Deaf history, fun facts about Deaf culture, and we were taught what audism looks like. Lorna is able to adapt to each individual student’s learning style while ensuring all students are engaged. I appreciate that she showed sign variations that we may come across as beginner BSL users and always made the homework fun! Had a blast taking this intro course and could not recommend Lorna enough!

I am so glad I have had this experience of learning BSL. Lorna has been the best teacher I could have hoped for. I have enjoyed every minute of the classes and she makes it fun and more than the language- you learn about the culture too. The price is so good for what you get from it and I feel really confident going forward with my level 1 and I would recommend to anyone!
