I have studied with Lorna on the introduction to BSL course and have now completed Level 1 with her. Both experiences have been fantastic! Lorna is an exceptional teacher. She is fun, patient, supportive, and incredibly nurturing of everyone's journey with learning BSL. She ensures that lessons are both informative and enjoyable. She always creates an environment which makes you feel both comfortable and engaged. If you are looking for a teacher who is not only professional but genuinely cares for their students' experience in learning BSL, then Lorna and her programme is the one for you!

Didn't know what to expect starting out on my journey to learn BSL, and have been amazed by the intro course taught by Lorna - she is an incredibly patient, encouraging and fun teacher who picks up on your strengths and helps overcome your weaknesses very quickly!

Lorna is a great teacher! She adjusted the pace of the class for the people in it and added sparkle to each lesson with background to the deaf community so we learned more than an awareness of sign language. She injected fun and homework in equal measure.

I would highly recommend taking a class with Lorna, whether you have no experience or some, they offer something to everyone. The relaxed approach makes it a comfortable and welcoming environment to learn in!

Started from the Introduction class, now having completed Level 1, awaiting Level 2, I would say my confidence of using BSL has grown a lot. I’ve learned so much more in a short period of time and would say it has been the best decision I made start learning with Lorna! Made some great friends too from the class!

Lorna is an amazing teacher and helped me learn at a pace I didn't know I could do! Each week Lorna taught us signs from different topics, her approach to teaching is clear and she creates a comfortable environment for the class. Lessons were always fun and I always left feeling excited about what I learned that day.
I am now confident in my ability to sign basic BSL and interested in learning more!

I completed a 12 week Introduction to BSL course with Lorna. This class was amazing, Lorna taught us a range of topics, way more than I was expecting and it was made easy to learn. I recently learned sign with Lorna, having absolutely no experience with BSL I was worried about the level of difficulty.

I have been trying to learn BSL for a few years but couldn’t find a class that was suitable… then I found Lorna! She is amazing; class is comfortable, relaxed and she is the best teacher I could ask for.
Originally, I was only interested in learning the basics, but Lorna changed that. Recently I have completed my level 1 and I am about to start Level 2, which is something that I am beyond excited for. This is entirely down to Lorna. She is not only an amazing teacher who encourages and provides endless support for her students, but she is a wonderful person too. Her bright, bubbly personality makes learning BSL easy and enjoyable, class is never boring and I now have a whole new appreciation for the language.
I cannot recommend Lorna and her classes enough. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I started learning bsl with lorna at a beginners class and went onto her level one class and now moving onto level 2! So she is definitely doing something right. We were taught a range of topics and basics initially and have built our skills so that we have confidence having conversations. I am not the fastest and tend to overthink but lorna is great at keeping me calm and making sure that the class is always fun. Apart from when we get in trouble for not doing our homework 😁

I attended an 8 week BSL course recently with Lorna and absolutely loved the course. I cannot praise Lorna enough for her teaching methods, enthusiasm, patience and humour.
