Despite courteous communications we…

Despite courteous communications we remain disappointed. Until this season elderly with mobility issues who benefit from attendance allowance and held an access card were allowed access with a wheelchair attendant going free.
This season the rules have changed an attendance allowance is no longer accepted.
After 40 years voluntary service as a Silverstone Marshall an a lifelong motorsport enthusiast it feels like a slap in the face.
After reaching retirement age, you can no longer claim PIPs , you have to claim attendance allowance. This is no longer acceptable at Silverstone.
So 10 out of 10 for promptness in responding to communications , but zero for the end result. Hopefully someone will listen.

This season, we introduced an updated Personal Assistant (PA) ticket scheme to ensure that accessibility support is applied fairly and consistently for all visitors. Under the current criteria, we can offer a complimentary PA ticket for anyone who purchases a standard entry ticket and can demonstrate that they require a companion to attend the event safely and comfortably.
While Attendance Allowance is not one of the accepted documents for automatic approval, we absolutely recognise that many people who reach retirement age transition from PIP to Attendance Allowance, and that this can affect how they access events. For this reason, the scheme also allows alternative evidence, such as a letter from a GP, consultant, or social worker confirming that a companion is essential for you to attend. Many guests in similar situations use this route successfully.
We understand that this change feels like a step backwards compared with previous years, and we are very sorry that it has caused frustration. Your concerns about how this affects long‑standing supporters, especially those with mobility needs, are important, and your feedback has been shared with the teams responsible for reviewing our accessibility policies.
Our intention is never to exclude anyone, but to apply the policy transparently and consistently while still allowing flexibility where genuine need can be demonstrated. We remain committed to providing reasonable adjustments under the Equality Act and continually improving our accessibility offering.

PA Ticket

We applied for the PA ticket and was granted it very quickly with clear instructions. We purchased our tickets, contacted support with our order number and again our request was dealt with so quickly - really looking forward to the event.

Regarding your ticket options, we wanted to clarify that during checkout all customers are offered the opportunity to add Booking Protection, which is provided by a third‑party and covers a wide range of unexpected circumstances. This protection is optional, and its availability, along with the conditions it covers, is clearly outlined before purchase. When Booking Protection is not selected, tickets are issued under the standard terms and conditions as non‑refundable. We understand that this can be especially difficult in situations that arise unexpectedly, and we are truly sorry for the added upset this may have caused.

Excellent service

I just wanted to say a big thank you to Nicky for her wonderful help with my ticket purchase for the Silverstone Grand Prix this summer. She was incredibly helpful from the start, guiding me through the different grandstand options and finding me three perfect tickets. Unfortunately, I was too slow to respond and they sold out. Despite this, Nicky immediately found two other great options and reserved them so I could decide. I was so impressed with how quickly she replied and how willingly she offered solutions.

Not so inclusive

I purchased hospitality as my daughter is disabled and needs a quieter area. When I requested a refund for a carer ticket, I was told no, you can’t have a carer ticket in hospitality. My daughter doesn’t become less disabled in hospitality !!

To clarify, our PA scheme is designed to provide essential support for guests with accessibility requirements across our standard grandstand and general admission areas. However, hospitality packages operate differently, as they include a range of premium features such as dining, lounge access, and additional services. Because of this, all individuals attending hospitality, including companions, require a full hospitality ticket. This is not linked in any way to a person’s level of disability, but rather to the structure of the hospitality product itself.
That said, your daughter’s needs remain a priority, and choosing hospitality to ensure she has a quieter, more comfortable environment is completely understandable. Our team is always happy to work with you to ensure her accessibility requirements are fully supported within the hospitality space.

Mclaren driving experience…

I booked a Mclaren driving experience for my husbands 40th. We had a great morning. I do feel the signage could have been a little better as you come to the parking area of the experience however, all the staff were friendly, chatty and so helpful. We loved that myself, our 2 boys and husbands parents could also watch. We were not expecting to be able to go down into the pits and talk to my husband and really be apart of his experience. All the team were interactive and helpful. We could watch my husband on the track from the fence line, which was brilliant to hear the noise and feel the vibrations of the cars. We paid for a video of the experience which was given to us at the end via a QR code, which was easy and quick to access. We then got 50% off for the museum entrance for 5 of us. The experience days are very well thought out. Thank you Silverstone!

Had my usual query about receiving this…

Had my usual query about receiving this years ticket sent to my laptop in order that I can print off and produce at this years event as have had terrible problems with trying to download the Silverstone App which also happened last hence missing the event altogether. The problem for this year has been resolved and am having tickets sent to my laptop so I can print off myself.
Do not understand why Silverstone Management have adopted the App principal when it clearly does not work for all, why not send tickets as they used to for customers to print off themselves via their laptops and why do we have to wait months and months before receiving tickets. Why can't they be sent online the day they are purchased.

Silverstone has moved to distributing tickets primarily through the Silverstone Tickets App to improve efficiency, cost‑effectiveness, and security, as well as to align with modern expectations for convenience. Digital tickets help reduce fraud, prevent duplicate entry, and ensure the most up‑to‑date information can be provided directly to each guest.
It is also important to note that the requirement to download and use the Silverstone Tickets App to access tickets is outlined in the terms and conditions, which would have been accepted at the time of purchase.
Regarding ticket release timings, tickets are issued closer to the event so that all operational details, including seating plans, access arrangements, and any updates, are fully confirmed before they are sent out. This prevents incorrect tickets being distributed and avoids unnecessary reissues later on. We understand the wait can feel long, and we appreciate your patience.

Very considerate

I sent my enquiry on 2nd March. I received a very kind reply from Kat on the 3rd, Kat asked me to email another department. I received another nice reply from Lauren on the 4th March.
The outcome was not what I was hoping for, however, it is understandable, and I accept their kind & caring thoughts.
