Absolute Garbage

I am in Australia and completely locked out of my account, their helplines are all closed or do not go through, that chat tells me to go through the help line and even after i tell them it doesn't work they tell me to download google voice (not available in australia) and before i can reply they end the chat even though i didn't say the problem was solved.

Brain dead company.

They had a bonus promotion offer. I fulfilled all their requirements and never received my bonus.

Their customer service portal is terrible. I got disconnected like 10 times before reaching an agent. They then took 5 business days to escalate to a manager. Turns out I had to manually accept the offer before fulfilling the requirements or something.

I go back and check the offer, THERE IS NO BUTTON TO MANUALLY ACCEPT THE OFFER. No where in the promotional script does it indicate manually accepting an offer as part of the requirements. And in no way is this standard procedure for any financial institution.

Now we have to wait another 2-3 business days for them to escalate it again. All for a basic bonus promotion.

Legit brain dead company I'm surprised they have more than 2 stars.

Not a reliable company with overdraft

Not a reliable card. I have overdraft on my account yes a service I pay for. Yesterday I got a new card in the mail as the one I have expires. They placed my card on hold because of this overdraft. So tell me...what's the point or how is a customer supposed to trust this supposed overdraft when you pick and choose when I should be able to use it or not?

Not a trustworthy or reliable service whatsoever. I will pay this small overdraft balance, and close my account. I am not interested in supporting companies like this.

I have a very bad experience with them. I opened a simple chequing account with them few months ago. They deliberately checked my credit score, without my verbal or written consent,by which I lost my credit points in Equifax.
Customer service representatives are stubborn and non cooperative. I warn everyone NEVER go for that institute without confirmation of credit checking option. I have closed account with them after loosing credit points and a long arguing with them.

SIMPLII SERVICES

Simplii Financial is very difficult to log on if one is out of the country, upcoming transactions aren’t readily available on the app, one needs to use a computer

Do you need better customer service and…

Do you need better customer service and a better way to retrieve are reset? Your phone number. You have to call in, you have to email. Documents just for them to switch your phone number. And allow you access to your account, you can't even go into C. I. BC who owns this company? But only thing you could do at CIBC is use the bank machine. They can't help you achieve a new card or anything. The processes the sticks too long and for ever didn't need better customized service.And I don't understand you open a bank account with cibc.They gave you a thousand dollars atm with jarl.You open a bank account with simpill you're ATM limit is 200. I don't understand how they justify limit you to use your own money

FUNDS ON HOLD FOR 3 YEARS WITH SIMPLII FINANCIAL

It's so frustrating banking with this financial institution for I have funds on hold for 3 years up to the present without providing legal justification. Under the Ontario Limitations Act, the two year window for any civil claim or estate dispute regarding this transaction has expired. According to Access to funds Regulations under the BANK ACT. Even if it's a fraud concern 3 years exceed any reasonable investigation window without police or court involvement.

Negligent

My bank card was stolen, and I reported fraudulent transactions. It has been over 4 months, and they still have not addressed my file. I have called multiple times. I am out $300 due to their lack of responsiveness.
Don't bank with them. I'm switching my mortgage as soon as it comes up for renewal. They are part of the CIBC banking empire. I will not be going with any of their partners.

This bank is absolutely twisted

This bank is absolutely twisted, they steal your money and keep your cheques. Refuse to close account and don’t have jack for customer service. This bank is fraudulent and should be shut down. Absolutely sickening.

Absolute System Failure and Conflicting Information - 2 Months of Waiting! Rating: ⭐ (-5/5)

I am extremely disappointed with Simplii Financial's internal communication. I have been waiting for my credit card for two months. I received an email from their support confirming my application was active. However, when I called their phone support (1-888-723-8881), the agent told me they had NO record of my credit card application at all.

Even worse, the phone support claimed my account was activated two months ago, which contradicts what I was told previously. How can a digital bank have such massive discrepancies between their email support and phone support systems? I’ve been waiting for 60 days only to find out that nobody knows the actual status of my account. This is incredibly unprofessional. If you value your time and peace of mind, stay away from Simplii.

I have only suffered sizable losses since I signed up more than two months ago. All they ever do is make excuses for me. However, they have no trouble collecting the monthly sum.While several platforms claim to provide seamless service.
Switching to #𝗲chom𝗶n𝗲s was the best choice finally, I get paid without stress.

So sad

They froze and blocked my account over a week ago due to potential fraud and now its a verification issue. Went to canada post to verify my identity on wed Feb 18 an now we are the 23rd and still nothing done on their end. Worst online bank ever.
