These guys are thieves. I requested skirting they sent me plain piece's of wood, was told it was a special order.

Requested a refund was told that I would be charged for delivery. They sent me damaged wood which I threw away

Excellent skirting boards, delivery times are slower than advertised.

Order number 609081 product delivered on the 2/9 and it is damaged all over totally unfit for use, email sent and photos issued 3/9. It was ok when it left our factory!! well the courier damaged it then!! Do not sign anything on delivery and make the courier wait, yeah right oh...
They wont collect and have no process for handling their own damaged products. Guy on the phone started quoting me their Terms & Conditions...Your processes are not fit for purpose, it is skirting board how hard can it be.. will see you in the small claims court like lots of other people leaving reviews & trading standards...

Thank you for the confirmation that the product supplied by yourself is damaged as you can see from the photos the damage is not all at the end but some in the middle hence why I cant use it as cut off.... please let me know when you will come and collect from the property at your expense (as the product is damaged) and when you say refund in your reply do you mean full refund or 50% less £35 admin for the product you now accept to be damaged by yourselves or courier... thanks in advance..

Real prompt. All happened as they said. Excellent.

Ordered MDF skirtings and picture rails on 5th August 2025 and was advised in the order 7 - 10 working days.

10 working days passed and no sign of a delivery or advice on an expected delivery date. I chased constantly for a delivery date and was told each time that the products had been despatched. Repeated phone calls and promises that it had been despatched and still no delivery.

On 26th August 2025, 14 working days after ordering the products, I rang to request my money back and was told that the contract conditions that I had signed up to when I clicked the box on their website to finalise the order stated up to 30 days.

The delivery turned up on 27th August 2025, unannounced. It was lucky that I was in to unload as obviously these are lengthy products. Sections of the MDF were damaged on the ends and the quality of the primer coat that I had paid for was very poor. Where the profiles had been machined, the finish was rough which is often the case with MDF, but I had paid extra for priming expecting this to be finished properly ready for top coating. Luckily I had ordered enough wastage to be able to discard the damaged sections, but I had to pay my decorator more to properly prepare the MDF. I saw little point in complaining to a company who quite obviously did not care

There is a reason that this company has 60% of 1 star reviews. When I pointed this out to them during my final phone call, I was advised that they receive thousands of orders and it is inevitable that they get some bad reviews. Good luck if you are 1 of the 60%. A companies success is dependant on how it treats its clients. This company doesn't care and this is reflected in the majority of the Trust Pilot Reviews. I will not be using again.

Just ordered products for another project from one of their competitors, MDFstore.co.uk. Products ordered on 3/9/25, delivered on 9/9/25, 6 days later. The quality of the profiles and the finish of the Primer coat were both excellent. I was emailed the day before with a delivery time. No lies or false promises unlike Skirting Boards Direct. I know where I will be buying my products in future - MDFstore.co.uk

Joining the people complaining unforuntately, wish I checked the reviews. Not delivered on time, no update on delivery, no customer service to speak of. You don't need that when you're doing a building project, it's important for materials to be there when you need them.
Wish I ordered elsewhere, since many companies sell similar things.

The below reply is a lie. My order was places 2nd of September, with a 7-10 day delivery, that would arrive latest 12th of September, which is today, and the items aren't here - I still don't even have a confirmed delivery date.
It's aggrevating that they have time to reply to this review, but not to do that.

I needed this skirting to match the original skirting in a 1930's house.
The site was easy to use & there are lots of options in sizes, the chamfer is a good match, but the 145mm height ordered is actually 148.5, that means instead of packing it out slightly to the original height, I have now got to plane it down to suit.
A good product, but the sizing is way off & being 3.5 mm over size, is not an acceptable tolerance allowance in my opinion.

Took over 3 weeks to arrive even though the website and a follow up email says 7-10 days delivery. I emailed after 8 days to ask if there was an ETA for delivery as we have to rearrange for someone to receive the order, but this email went unanswered. I got in touch after 2 weeks from order and they said that I could expect delivery the following Tuesday which was 3 weeks after I had placed the order. I stayed in all day on the Tuesday but no delivery, I phoned again and they assured me I would get the order the following day - that didnt happen either again after waiting in all day. After phoning a final time I was promised I would receive the order on the Friday. Very disappointed with the whole customer service and will not be ordering from this company again. Shame as we will not be using this company for the rest of the house.

Appalling company to deal with. The guy who calls himself the sales director repeatedly lies on the phone. He took the payment twice without authorisation. We were never sent an order confirmation, order reference, invoice, or any paperwork. When we finally got an email with a confirmed delivery day the delivery didn't turn up. The sales director assured us on the phone he had spoken to the delivery driver directly and it would be delivered that afternoon. When that didn't materialise we called again and he gave us a fake tracking number to get us off the phone. Upon finally speaking to the courier they confirmed they had no order for us from this company so it was all lies.

When he finally confessed they hadn't even been made we asked to cancel the order. They said they would keep 50% of the value of the order plus a cancellation fee as "per the terms of their contract", which we were never sent.

The skirting boards did eventually arrive but it was to late for our project, we had to order elsewhere.

Save yourself the hassle and order from one of the other many reputable skirting board suppliers online.

6 failed delivery promises, (They didn't call me once I had to call them) THIS MEANT TIME OFF WORK WAITING FOR THE DELIVERY.
By the end of August I had enough so called to cancel, Steve then immediately quoted their terms and conditions which say they do not have to contact you for 30 days and then only to give you a future date.
Steve then arranged a refund from an order value of £159.00 they paid me back £44.55 so took £114.00 for doing nothing.

4.5 We aim to deliver within 10 to 12 working days but If we are not able to deliver your Goods within 30 working days of the date of your order, we shall notify you by e-mail to arrange another date for delivery.

6.3.5 All cancelled orders are subject to a 50% restocking charge, Plus a £35 Admin charge. This is deducted from the refund.

I see the company is full of apologies but STILL HAVE KEPT MY MONEY

I've just placed my 2nd order with Skirting Boards Direct and I've had nothing but really exceptional service from them. On both occasions they have gone out of their way to help me and it's made the world of difference. This puts them a cut above the rest. I'll be using them again as my house renovations continue.

Update on their review. After chasing orders to obviously false promises, they said they would refund my order. I never said cancel my order. I asked for a refund which in return was accepted. Not a partial refund. Anyway let's leave it for the court to decide.

Ordered on the 1 August MDF Skirting board (3 to 10 days delivery), on the 22nd after phone calls and emails still not delivered. I asked if I could have a refund and they said yes !! only to be told I would receive a refund back of 24% of my order value. Complete scammers !!! I am now going through the route of taking them to court through trading standards . Their terms are conditions are terrible. Do not purchase from them.

Avoid like the plague! Absolute bunch of clowns - promised me every day for over a week that delivery would be the next day. And as for thinking of cancelling order - 50% charge + £35 ‘admin’ fee!! Total charlatans.

Brought new house phoned this company up and explained needed new skirting round the house , emailed me over some different designs , and in the week I had them designed and fitted , really good service

Waited 26 days for delivery! very poor customer service and only through email.
