An absolute joke from start to finish

An absolute joke from start to finish, so poorly run. Gave them 3 months of notice that we was leaving the league and then they try charging us £400 saying we missed games, after sending them all the proof that we followed procedure and did everything correctly they then said oh we will just take £40 (trying to get anything they can) also charged us £40 (deposit) to change the team over when we joined which there now saying was never done. They also tried threatening our positions playing 11 a side games
A truly terrible league run by someone vile people

Terrible and intimidating behaviour from this company

We paid all fees up to the final game actually played, yet were hit with demands for charges over four times the cost of venue hire. This came despite the league failing to operate properly — we were forced to play the same opponents repeatedly, completely defeating the purpose of a league and removing any enjoyment.
When we challenged this, we received bullying emails and phone calls, including threats of legal action, debt collectors, and even claims that the FA would remove players’ affiliation to stop them playing football.
We were also auto‑renewed without consent, with no opportunity to say no, and are now being chased for money in relation to that renewal.
This feels like intimidation rather than fair business practice. Shocking behaviour, and I sincerely hope venues renting their facilities are fully aware of the company they are associating themselves with.

6 aside perfection

Ah yes, the legendary Wigan Soccer Sixes Monday Night League at Laithwaite Park. Truly the gold standard of grassroots football. If you’ve ever wondered what perfection looks like on a Monday evening, look no further.

First, a special mention has to go to the award-winning referees. Their commitment to vigilance is nothing short of inspirational. These officials are constantly watching every single moment of the game with laser-like focus, ensuring that nothing—absolutely nothing—slips past their expert eyes. Their ability to control the flow of the game with such calm authority is a masterclass in refereeing excellence.

Then there’s the unmatched transparency of the league’s rules and regulations. Everything is communicated so clearly and consistently that you never find yourself questioning anything. The integrity shown by the organisers ensures that every match runs like clockwork and, of course, that the full 40 minutes are always completed in their entirety. No exceptions, no confusion—just pure, dependable organisation.

The attention to detail extends to the equipment as well. The bibs are a thing of beauty: pristine, immaculately presented, and clearly cared for with the sort of dedication usually reserved for museum artefacts. Slipping one on before kick-off really makes you feel like part of something special.

And we mustn’t forget the endless supply of footballs. It’s genuinely impressive. Balls appear exactly when needed, ensuring the game never pauses for something as trivial as retrieving one. In fact, the sheer efficiency of the ball supply system puts the Premier League’s multi-ball setup to absolute shame. Time is never wasted—play just flows seamlessly from start to finish.

All in all, the Monday night experience at Laithwaite Park is a shining example of how a football league should be run. Organisation, integrity, presentation—every box ticked with absolute precision. If you enjoy perfectly managed football where everything runs flawlessly… this league is truly something to behold.

We have been really impressed with the organisation and professionalism from the lads organising the league in Lutterworth.
Not a bad word to say.

We look forward to the seasons ahead.

Enjoyable experience

Amazing experience for me and my mates to carry on playing football after u18. It’s the perfect balance of having a fun kick about with also being a competitive league where every game is important.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to formally raise a very serious complaint regarding an incident of racial abuse that occurred during our match at Billericay School last Monday evening.

During the fixture, both myself and one of my teammates were subjected to racially abusive comments from an individual present at the match. This behaviour was deeply offensive, completely unacceptable, and directly contrary to the standards and safeguarding policies set by The Football Association regarding discrimination and respect within the game.

Following the incident, we reported the matter to Richard Rollason, the Monday Night League Manager. Unfortunately, our experience when attempting to raise this complaint has been extremely disappointing and concerning.

Richard Rollason has ignored multiple attempts by me to contact him regarding this matter. On the occasions where I was able to speak with him, he repeatedly interrupted me, would not allow me to properly explain what had happened, and failed to listen to any of the concerns raised by myself or my teammates. Several of my calls were rejected, and the overall manner in which he handled the situation was highly unprofessional.

As a league manager responsible for the welfare and safety of players, this behaviour is extremely shocking and unacceptable. At no point did he properly listen to the concerns of the players who were racially abused. Instead, his approach was volatile and dismissive, and it appeared that he was favouring the opposing team rather than addressing the serious allegations that had been raised.

Most concerning of all is that no action whatsoever has been taken against the individual responsible for the racial abuse. This lack of action gives the clear impression that such behaviour is tolerated within the league. Racism has absolutely no place in football, and leagues have a responsibility to actively support The FA’s “Kick It Out” and anti-discrimination policies.

The way this situation has been handled has left myself and members of my team extremely distressed. As a result of the abuse and the complete lack of action taken afterwards, some of our players now feel afraid to step onto a football pitch again out of concern that they could be racially abused and that nothing will be done to protect them.

This is a serious safeguarding matter, and the failure to properly address it raises significant concerns about player welfare within the league.

If Richard Rollason and the league continue to ignore this complaint and fail to take appropriate action, we will have no choice but to escalate this matter directly to The Football Association as a formal safeguarding and discrimination complaint.

Given the way this situation has been handled, we cannot continue to participate in a league where racial abuse is ignored and where players are not protected.

We request an immediate response outlining what action will now be taken regarding this incident.

Yours sincerely,
Top Bins FC manager

Like a prison to escape

Referees are constantly late, games cut short each week.
Players got assaulted each week due to poor officiating, fights happened on a regular basis.
When we reported this to the league they constantly told us they’d look into it but the same players turned up each week.

When we couldn’t attend a fixture they charged us £84 even though we gave them enough notice, but when we attended fixtures and teams didn’t show we still had to cover the £42.

When we asked to leave the league they told us to pay 3 weeks worth of fixtures or we had to remain in the league and continue to paying until they found a replacement.
We paid the fee and next day they replaced us with a team.

Total scam, do not sign up for this league!

Money grabbers

Started quite well, never had issues for 2 seasons. Ended up playing the same teams weeks on end and once a ref didn’t turn up so we made to play with no ref. We made the decision to leave as players were getting sick of last minute changes and poor officiating, referees standing on their phones not watching.

Sent 2 emails to where they told me to say we were leaving and heard nothing back. Couldn’t play last game, so used our deposit and now have to pay for opponents game with an added charge.
I’ve asked to see a contract which I’ve signed, they said they have one but haven’t been sent it yet.

Never play in their leagues as they will be texting regarding money to be sent but never answer any general queries.

I’m refusing to pay these charges until I see a contract I’ve signed.

AVOID WARE - A glorified 5-a-side league behaving like a payday trap

Avoid Ware, and ignore the guy in charge! Played and paid every single week for over 10 weeks. The moment circumstances outside my control changed and I said I needed to leave, they switched from friendly to predatory.
Ignored messages, pressure tactics, and acting like I owe them my life — over five-a-side football.

It genuinely feels like they bank on people being too polite or inexperienced to push back. Once you’re in, they behave as if they’ve signed you into some binding financial agreement rather than a casual amateur league.

It’s embarrassing how desperate they are to cling to fees and chase people — the aggression and stubbornness over something this basic is shocking.
Football should be enjoyable; instead, this felt like being trapped in a cheap subscription scam dressed up as “sport”.

Avoid at all costs unless you want stress, hostility, and the feeling you’re being milked rather than managed

League review

Tom (the man in charge of the league) was always helpful, and offered lots of extra games, and was very understanding about missed/late payments. But the league itself isn’t the best, there was only 1 division with 8 teams, so you constantly play the same people and can’t promote up the divisions. Often go a week without a game. The refs are lovely blokes, but the standard of referring is awful, they don’t have control of the game, don’t watch the game properly, always give decisions based on who moans the loudest, or who is playing more of a fair game on the day. Lots of rules just get forgotten/changed one week to the next.

Not a good league at all

Not a good league at all. Charge extra money and was promised tickets to paintball for winning a 40 minute game after and now refusing to give them. Total scam of a league and do not recommend.

Great fun football

Played in Aberystwyth league for 6 years. Been great fun and competitive with good range of teams so will always have a few good games a season. Could do with more footballs as fence around pitches is not that big so spend some time collecting balls during the game so actual play time is reduced.
League tables and fixtures are given quickly. If we find more players would happily start a team again.

DO NOT TOUCH THIS!! STAY WELL AWAY FROM IT, ESPECIALLY IN SCOTLAND

DO NOT TOUCH THIS!!! STAY WELL AWAY FROM IT.

Their company said that we would get a £40.00 bonus after 4 games, never paid it. We were turning upto games with no teams to play and no notice about it either. It was very poorly run and the guy that runs it Aaron is very annoying and demanding of money for games that don't even get played. Eventually, I didn't have enough players to play and ended up giving up.

Now they want £340 for something that I couldn't turn upto with no players available.
