Great experience from start to finish. The customer service was excellent; when the chili oil I ordered was unavailable, they personally emailed me within 24 hours with great alternatives. Delivery was smooth with clear communication throughout, and the products themselves were outstanding quality. Highly recommend!

Following a disappointing failure to deliver a package in time for Easter, Sous Chef reached out to apologise and refunded the product and shipping fees. Their courier service let them down (and their first response to my complaint was from their AI customer service bot and was unhelpful). But when their people got involved they resolved the issue quickly and with kindness. Things go wrong but good companies find ways to fix them - nice job Gemma.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!! I ordered some goods on the website. 10 days after my order, the parcel supposed to be delivered by Evri has not arrived. It is advertised on the Sous Chef website and confirmed in the email that the order is expected to be delivered within 2/3 working days. I eventually received the goods 11 days after my order. The customer service did reply and apologised but I have not received any explanation for this delay. They did not read or understood my message; although the parcel was delivered before Easter, it was delivered to late to give the gift to the person I wanted to offer it … This is appalling service and misleading delivery timeframes advertised by this Company.

I have used Sous Chef now a few times and I will continue to do so. The product is second to none. Really amazing quality. Delivery is prompt and very carefully packed, so nothing can get damaged during transit and the one time I had a small issue when trying to place an order online, I received help late Friday evening (cannot remember exactly but believe it was 10pm). All in all my favourite online shop!

Excellent experience with Sous Chef. Wide range of quality kitchenware, fast free next day delivery, well packaged using sustainable materials. I would definitely order from them again.
I recently placed a fairly large order with Sous Chef including Japanese cups and mugs, chopsticks, a Hinoki chopping board and a ceramic honing rod. The range available on the site is excellent, particularly if you are looking for more specialist or Japanese kitchen items that are not always easy to source in the UK.
I ordered at around 8pm and the parcel arrived the very next day via DPD, with free delivery. That level of speed, especially when ordering in the evening, was impressive.
Everything was very well packaged and clearly packed with care. The use of sustainable packaging was also good to see and felt consistent with the brand.
A nice extra touch was a free self branded culinary newspaper included in the box. It is not something you expect, but it adds a bit of personality and makes the overall experience feel more considered rather than just transactional.
Overall a very smooth experience from ordering to delivery. Good product range, fast dispatch, careful packaging and thoughtful presentation. I would happily recommend Sous Chef and will use them again.

Pretty poor company, loyalty clearly isn't rewarded nor valued.
Won't be shopping there nor endorsing them any longer either.
Over the last 5 years I have probably spent more than ten grand with them. Draw you in with "points to redeem" but you can only do so in £25 increments. And those vouchers are only valid for 6 weeks.
You need a degree in IT to figure out what is/isn't a reward.
Clearly the whole loyalty scheme and points thing is rubbish.
Classic bait and switch.
Won't tell you any of this until like me you are over £400+ worth of "rewards" deep that you'd have to spend another few grand redeeming.
All in all it leaves a really sour taste in the mouth.
Ironic as they bill themselves as the go to stop for top chefs.
Clearly not.
30 years in the game and I think 6 using them as a go to resource for so many things I won't shop with them again.
Really sad to see. But don't shop here nor think that your loyalty will be rewarded. Clearly it's a scam.
Avoid them and use amazon or any other resource.
I have stopped recommending them to all customers in my shop now as well.
Be warned!

I recently sent a couple of thank-you gifts which, for reasons unfathomable, the courier was unable to deliver. I contacted Sous and they responded promptly, dispatching replacement items at no additional cost and resolving what had become a rather vexing situation swiftly, professionally, and without any fuss.
I was equally grateful for their willingness to include a personal gift note at no extra charge - a small but thoughtful gesture that added a genuine sense of care to the experience.
It is rare to come across customer service that feels both efficient and human. The whole process left me feeling valued as a customer rather than simply processed as an order number.
I look forward to ordering my panettone’s from them and, in the meantime, will happily continue browsing their site for delightful finds — from jars of scrumptious chilli sauces to beautifully crafted ramen bowls.

Good quality products, even though they are pricey. I ordered for the first time and among other products I ordered corn tortillas. They arrived today, with an expiration of today....very dissapointed and won't be buying again from them.

These are great I buy ingredients and kitchenware. Always a professional service ( always buying long pepper, about to place an order) can’t recommend enough . Fast dispatch, well packaged ingredients and utensils always arrive in the condition I would expect

Lost Parcel, Zero Help
My parcel never arrived - Evri has had it as out for delivery for days and I can’t get help from anyone. No response from Sous Chef, no help from the courier, and I’m left with nothing.
I’ve contacted both multiple times.
Really disappointed as used to love Sous Chef but this has been an awful experience so won’t be a returning customer. Still hope I can get a refund.

The spatula I bought with the Wonderful Cookut pan just snapped last year as I was cooking. I had bought it from Sous-Chef. I sent them a mail with pictures. This was a few months ago. They tried to have it replaced through Cookut etc. No success. But Sous-Chef did not just ignore me or quit! No they asked me if I would be happy with a replacement of one of their spatula. Checked it, nice quality etc. was very pleased and accepted. This was last Thursday night, it was sent to me on Friday and received it on the Saturday. Well!! What can I Say? But a big thank you to this great company. I love their products , attitude towards customers . Everything is the same with them. Caring, quality of products and they DO put customers first. Once again, Bravo Sous Chef. See you soon ;-)

I got an email back straight away and the replacement arrived less than 24 hours later. Really impressed with this company, and the plates are beautiful too! Will definitely order from them again.

I've bought from this site for a couple of years now, spending a little over £2k in total betwen 24 orders, including ingredients, cookware, tableware and snacks.
Quality is always extremely high, delivery swift and the customer service excellent. The stuff isn't cheap, but that's because they sell expensive stuff rather than because it's a rip-off - when I see the same items elsewhere it tends to be for a comparable price.
You can definitely buy from here with confidence.
