I had a client that needed funding for his business , and when he completed the application he gave the values of his equipment that were not the true values as he thought they were. South End Capital Corp had given an approval and then had it declined because of the values. South End Capital Corp went back to work for my client and got the deal approved and funded!

Slow to respond. Charge fee's then pass on to another bank. Can't deliver.

UPDATE: After some communication South End Capital (SEC) was ultimately able to facilitate the loan. This was an SBA Loan and SEC passed to NewTek Capital for packing and funding. At no time in the process did SEC or anyone explain to me why it took 3 companies and $25K in fee's to secure the loan. Ultimately when NewTek Capital failed in their commitments South End Capital jumped in took care of me. Fee's charged by SEC were refunded.

The reason I was unable to give a 5 star is that SEC took on the loan process from Mid-Atlantic Commercial Capital (MACC) and then passed it to Newtek Capital. There was no clear communication or understanding why SEC took on business from MACC just to pass to Newtek. As stated they fought to get me the loan but I just don't understand why they would work with a company like MACC.

I will add that SEC was the best of the 3 companies to work with. I would definitely recommend them and would use them again.

Matt Naughton, Sr. VP Business Lending, is great to work with. He is highly knowledgable about SBA Lending and gives honest, non-biased advise. When speaking with him, there is no hidden agenda. He's a genuine person!!!!! 10 stars for South End Capital, because of Matt!!!

What lender goes above and beyond to help you find a product that will work for your needs? Until now I haven't had that experience. I know my business and South End Capital knows theirs, Dealing with SEC has been a refreshing new take on 'traditional' lending options..There was a void in the lending market, and SEC has filled it.

After looking far and wide for an SBA product that would help me consolidate outstanding short term loans and reduce my debt service, South End Capital was finally able to get the job done. It required a lot of paperwork - but I now have a loan that cut my monthly payments by over 80%. Before the closing a few unexpected issues arose that threatened the deal. Rich hopped in and worked tirelessly to get the deal closed. He had exceptional follow-up and communications skills. Should I need business financing in the future South End would be stop one (and I have worked with many others previously). They were honest and delivered just what they promised.

Very straightforward application. Matt was 5 star with advice and information so I could make my best decision for funding.
