I am totally delighted by the three stained leaded glass designs that Tamsin and Benji designed, created and installed for me.

I’ve been waiting for over 10 years to complete this aspect my my house ‘rebuilding’ project and to say I’m overjoyed would be the understatement of the year.

From my first visit on-site to the installation, Andrew and his team have been perfect throughout.

The manufacture of each piece is exemplary, and Benji was so careful, considerate, professional during the installation.

I love every piece and when we get more sunlight, the colours will be even more tremendous.

I intend using the stained leaded glass company again next year to install a new piece for my entrance door.

How refreshing to hire such a professional company. Their service was outstanding. They repaired two 150 year old windows which were bowed and damaged. They then encapsulated them thereby dispensing with the rusty old bars which now means the windows can be seen in all their glory, they are easier to clean and we don't have to worry about condensation or heat loss. One of the windows was a 90cm diameter circular panel in a huge old door which we were so nervous about. They quickly and efficiently removed all of the panels and boarded up the gaps until their return. Unlike other companies, they didn't insist on us providing scaffolding for the very large units half way up our staircase, they did everything themselves with the minimum of fuss and no mess. Their prices were very competitive and their work amazing. Would not hesitate to recommend this company, it was a total pleasure doing business with them.

Andrew responded to my emails about a repair and clean of our original stained glass windows in the front and rear hallway, from a 1910 property. Andrew also put us in touch with Emma from Change Glazing who were able to encapsulate the stained glass inside double glazing. The results were fabulous and we have even booked them in again to complete similar works on the front door and surrounding windows.

Andrew carried out a repair and encapsulation of my stained glass windows in my doors. I didn't hesitate to contact Andrew as he has previously carried out work to a very high standard. Andrew put me in contact with the joiner for the door and was extremely helpful. Very reliable and excellent service and workmanship once again. I will use Stained Leaded Glass again in the future and recommend Andrew to anyone else for stained glass windows.

Our house is a 1930s style with stained glass lights in all the front windows and door. Due to budget restrictions, our change to double glazing has been piecemeal, the final piece being our front downstairs bay window. Despite having had our stained glass encapsulated in the past, this time two main-stream double glazing suppliers were adamant that this could no longer be done because of changes to building regulations, but that their film replication would be just as good. We took them at their word and engaged one to replace the bay window. When the proposed film replication samples arrived we realised "replication" actually meant "approximation". We found the Stained Leaded Glass Company on the web and they couldn't have been more helpful, not least in debunking some of the wild stories we had been fed. Whilst we couldn't get out of our original contract, the MD gave us no end of technical advice in our negotiations to change our contract with the frame supplier so that they would supply plain glazing units. SLGC took our existing stained glass lights, extended some to our design and reduced others to fit the new frame dimensions and then retrofitted them. Yes, the retrofitting added to the costs, but the cost of encapsulation was only marginally more expensive than what we would have been charged by the frame supplier for "replication". We would not hesitate to recommend SLGC to houseowners looking to preserve the character of their property.

I had a piece of glass etched for our landing window which looks absolutely fantastic.

We’ve had a new 8ft x 3ft stained glass window designed, encapsulated, and fitted into our stairwell at home. We are delighted with the result, it has transformed the space.

The company was a pleasure to deal with, helping to explain the whole process, design options etc.. The design team created window mock-ups and we were able to work with them to adjust our chosen pattern & the various glass colours/textures to reach the final design. Measuring and fitting of the stained glass window in the new double glazing unit also went very smoothly.

Andrew and his workers are fantastic. They restored 4 original stained glass windows from our 100 year old house beautifully and along with Change Glazing they were encapsulated in double glazing and refitted perfectly. Andrew and his craftsmen have restored and encapsulated my stained glass hall window , and together with a new frame from Shaun Kendall joinery I now have a beautiful hall window again . The craftsmanship of these firms is exemplary and I would totally recommend them . It won’t be the cheapest window you get but it’ll probably be the best.

What a wonderful experience this was. Andrew Seddon is a true expert. We have large stained glass windows in our house and heating bills were going through the roof and out the windows. I googled church stained glass insulation and up popped this wonderful company. Everything on their brilliant website is an understatement of how good they are. Our house has been transformed. 5 stars is not enough...Andrew works with a London based carpenter (Michael from Smart Build) who removes the windows and sends them to Bolton for encapsulation. We cannot recommend this team highly enough (and I nearly forgot to mention that they have been featured on BBC's Song of Praise.
