Highly recommend to make your move smooth. We have used them for 2 moves. Easy to book, arrived promptly, packed and loaded the van rapidly and ensured everything was moved without damage. We had some complex needs including multiple locations, storage and awkward spaces all of which was navigated seamlessly.

I cannot stress enough how awful this experience was. I never leave bad reviews, but I feel a moral obligation to leave one here. If this saves even one person from booking Superman With a Van, it’s worth it.

If you hear the name Joy, run.

I repeatedly told Joy that I needed my one-bedroom move completed in a single trip because of the 30-minute commute. In two separate quotes, she assured us the truck was large enough. I have her confirmation in writing that the truck could accommodate a three-bedroom house. I initially booked three movers, but Joy cancelled that and insisted two were sufficient.

On moving day, two movers arrived with a truck that was obviously far too small. When I called Joy, she initially told me that I should have booked a larger truck. The movers then told me Superman With a Van didn't even have a larger truck and that Joy was wrong. When I called her again, she doubled down.

Because their mistake forced a second trip, I told Joy I would deduct one hour from the bill. She became hostile and manipulative and contacted the movers, who then refused to unload my belongings unless I paid the additional hour. They even told me I could call the police. I contacted a solicitor, who confirmed I could pay the undisputed balance while disputing the additional charge.

After that, they finally unlocked the van. I ended up unpacking roughly 80% of the second load myself alongside one of the movers while the other spent most of the unload in the van.

This was easily one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a company. The entire situation could have been avoided if Joy had simply been honest about the size of the vehicle.

Find literally anyone else. You will not regret it.

EDIT: In response to Joy's carefully worded attempt to rewrite what happened: I loaded the second trip. I unloaded the second trip. One of your movers spent the vast majority of the unloading sitting in the van. Neither mover can refute this. Your movers also locked my belongings in the van and threatened to withhold them unless I paid the disputed £65, forcing me to contact a solicitor before they would release my possessions. Don't hide behind the fact that my belongings arrived safely — I did a significant portion of your job myself.

The fact that you arrived on time and didn't break my belongings is the absolute bare minimum, not a defence for your conduct. You gave me repeated assurances that the van was sufficient, your van wasn't sufficient, and when your mistake created a second trip, you tried to make me pay for it under threat of withholding my possessions. That's the part you're conveniently leaving out. If you're reading this before booking Superman With a Van: RUN. If you're going to do most of the moving yourself anyway, save yourself the money and hire someone else.
