I wish I had read these reviews first

I wish I had read these reviews first . I paid $288 and will only get $192 back if I return it which literally received from delivery not even 24 hours ago . Why say “if you’re not completely satisfied .. “ which I wasn’t - but “be aware of the consequences” should follow on the return policy . This was my second luggage with them - I happen to like it the first time . Not buying anymore after leaving me not much choices on returns. They Don’t even do exchange! There are of lot better deals in Amazon .

I purchased some simple Swiss Gear…

I purchased some simple Swiss Gear luggage tags. They were not what I expected and wanted to return them. I contacted customer service and have gotten nothing but the run around. I am well within the return terms and conditions but Swiss Gear will not provide me with a return authorization #. These are simple, inexpensive tags ($20 total for 3 - 2 packs). It's unfortunate that Swiss Gear will not stand behind their products. I will not purchase any more Swiss Gear Products, of which I have purchase many in the past. No longer!!!!

Disappointed

As a new Swissgear product owner, I was so excited to order luggage tags and couldn’t wait to get them. However, it’s been nearly a month that I ordered them and I still haven’t received them. I received an email to leave a review. Surely they weren’t expecting to get a good one. However, they didn’t publish it on the website. Got X’s and a red box stating not able to publish review. I emailed the company to check the status and I still get told to continue to wait. At this point, I’m okay if I receive the tags, but I will definitely not be investing anymore funds into this company.

P.S. if I didn’t have to, I would not have left even 1 star.

Customer service is iffy...

I originally bought a Swissgear 2930 backpack on August 4th because of the huge list of specifications that they provided. It was a new backpack, so I was going off of a few reviews. But I decided to order it anyways. Two days later, I received a refund notification with no information whatsoever. I had to call Swissgear to see what the issue was, and they said that they were out of stock and could no longer fulfill my order.

Roughly a week later, I decided to order another backpack which was the Swissgear 2909 backpack. It didn't match all the specifications of the 2930 that I wanted, but it had about 60% of the features. I ordered two weeks before I needed it for classes, but my order was not shipping.

The day I was going to call them about my order was the day when it finally got shipped. They stated that the handling time was going to take 1-2 days, but I ended up having to wait 9 days for my shipment to get sent out. It is arriving the day before I need to move back to campus, so they REALLY cut close to the deadline date that I needed my backpack.

I tried buying a backpack almost a whole month in advance, but they took way too long to fulfill the order.

Good laptop backpacks

I bought a middle-of-the-pack laptop backpack that was on sale from Swiss Gear and it has carried me through 4 years of almost daily use in undergrad and grad school. It has been subjected to a fair amount of abuse from its contents, rainstorms, and subzero winters but is still in one piece and chugging along just fine. I was so impressed by its quality that I bought a larger laptop backpack from Swiss Gear to use as a carryon bag for when I fly. So far, I have no complaints about that backpack either.

I wanted to purchase a backpack.

I purchased a backpack using a discount code provided by Swiss Gear. I can only assume Swiss Gear got too many orders (or just wanted my email) because they canceled my order and sent me an email saying they didn't mean to offer that coupon, but sent me a different discount code to use for a much lesser discount. Can you believe that they named the new discount code "OOPS". They really made the discount code called "OOPS" because they would not honor THEIR OWN discount code on my original order. The backpack remained showing plenty in stock, so I know they were not just sold out of them. They didn't cancel the order for 4-5 days after the order was placed. All this about a week before Christmas leaving me scrambling to find another gift for someone. So disappointed in Swiss Gear and the way they handled the situation.

Expensive to return

Recently purchased a wallet and immediately realized it was the wrong item.Within 10 minutes I e-mailed a cancellation request and received confirmation # of request .2 days later message "order has shipped".Second e-mail request to cancel.I was aware of return policy to pay shipping,however the RMA label and cost to return was more than HALF initial cost.Buyer be aware of this when you place your order.First and last time I'll be using Swissgear. D.List

I only put a star because I had to

I only put a star because I had to, but in all honesty their customer service is AWFUL. They pay people to answer the call and put you on hold, and then tell you that no one is available to speak with. I left my phone number and email and have received nothing from them. I emailed them twice and simply got an automated response saying that my request was received, but again no answer. When comparing this to other companies that have excellent customer support and allow me to solve problems within the hour I have to wonder if Swissgear even cares about its customers.
