Absolutely a terrible company
Absolutely a terrible company. Promised as booked a 7 seater automatic. After not hearing anything from them regarding my booking I rang them. The woman on reception then told me they didn't have any 7 seater auto's and that other customers where waiting since June for one. What sort of two bit company doesn't have cars to rent out. She did offer a 9 seater vito which I accepted because I am due to go on holiday first thing in the morning. 04:08:2026. She then promised me that they would have it at my address before 5pm today. At 1pm I get a text message stating my booking for due to be delivered after I was due to leave to in the morning 04,08,26.
I rang to ask what was going on. And was met by a very unhelpful person who didn't really want to help. Making excuses that the replacement car was not available until tomorrow. Yet it was bookable for this afternoon on line. A lie.
I hate shabby service and the couldn't careless attitude form customer service tops it off.
My advice. Find another company. Don't rent from cowboys with little to no customer care.
They seem to prioritise cash paying customers. This is the HUL branch.
They may have changed the name but its still the same old sub standard service.

If I could it'd be - 5 stars. Nothing but absolute shit before I even got to get a hire car! Told nothing to hire all weekend until Monday Monday came nothing until Tuesday had to complain to head office and funny enough got a vehicle a bit faster on Tuesday after waiting from Friday. Had the car a week get a call my cars ready to collect so head over to get my car back and left hire car with just over half a tank of fuel, I never got the car with a full tank either. Cost me £25 to fill just over half a tank -(1.5l) now to fill the remaining tank iv been billed £48 unbelievable. Better still I'm getting fines for Tyne tunnel even though I have an account with them and all travel is automatically taken out my account better still the fine there trying to charge me is of May 2026 when I didn't even have the vehicle. But still trying to charge me and collect the money. I had there car from 10th July the fines from may. Wjat a horrible company I seriously wish I'd never came across them please be very careful using these cowboys because you'll be lucky to not get charged for using the rubber on the tires. Most hire companies do everything they can to help these done everything they could to make things as hard as possible stay away seriously unless you like been charged for things that you'd not get charged with from any other company
Sent all evidence that showes these fines aren't mine but little ryse redman just won't take it and continues to try and get money. Good luck with that scamming at it's finest
Tyne tunnel fines £30 if not paid by midnight the following day. Switch added £42 admin fees to this charge without even notifying there's an actual fine from the Tyne tunnel obviously anyone will be outraged by a £30 fine but then the hire company you're using then adds a further £42 for not notifying you of this fine until they have added there £42 fee to it.
But best part like iv said I never had this car when the fine was issued. Stay away unless you've got money to waste its outrageous fines £30 for a tunnel fine then switch will add a further £42 but not notify you until they've added there money. Wonder how many people have fell to this

I dealt with the Worcester branch, the gentleman who delivered the vehicle was helpful and friendly and showed me all the bells and whistles. The car was top spec and perfect condition. Ian and Neil collected the vehicle and were polite, friendly, helpful and on time. Couldn’t fault the whole hire and would definitely use again.

Great people, great experience. Most reliable service
I had a great experience with Switch Car Rental from start to finish.
The staff were incredibly polite, professional, and genuinely focused on helping the customer. When a small issue came up during the process, it was dealt with promptly and efficiently, making sure I could get better than expected. That level of customer service really stood out.
Both the collection and return of the car were quick and hassle-free. I especially appreciated the return process; there was no excessive scrutiny or trying to find tiny, unnoticeable marks on the vehicle. The inspection was fair, straightforward, and completed within minutes, which gave me a lot of confidence in the company.
The car was clean, well-presented, and exactly what I needed. Overall, the whole experience was smooth, transparent, and stress-free.
I'd definitely use Switch Car Rental again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for reliable service and friendly, customer-focused staff.

The staff there are unprofessional the booking .com did not advise a 500 pound deposit when asked for the number to complain they gave me the wrong number they refused to provide there names they were extremely rude on the phone and in person

Switch Swansea
Gave me a completely inappropriate car as a hire car while mine is in for repair. Several times I’ve specified it needed to be high enough I didn’t need to push myself out of the vehicle and yet they provided one which has now caused a partial dislocation of a joint. Topping that off with horrendous bucket style seats which are hards ask rocks and forced extreme pressure against my joints making it even harder to get out of the vehicle.
The break system on this vehicle is horrendous. I drove to my local Tesco and you have to pretty much stamp on the brakes to actually get it to brake.
The vehicle also had been keyed prior to it being given to me. I reported it on the day. I was told it was nothing. I’ve also noticed that it’s not been cleaned as I’ve found the previous users rubbish and detritus within the vehicle.
I suggest you either replace the vehicle or come and collect it. I’ve now missed an entire weekend of work due to the sheer stupidity of this situation.
I’ll be calling motability first thing Monday morning alongside an email.
