Very disappointing customer service and missing parts

Very disappointing customer service--it cost me 5% more to buy the fridge in person than it would have to buy the same fridge from TA on-line (next time, put the fridge in your cart, then wait a day or two for them to sweeten the deal). Once delivered, the fridge was missing parts, making the door storage unusable for the three weeks it took to source new parts.

Hello, we apologize for your negative experience with TA and missing parts for the fridge. There was a promo that applied strictly to online purchases at that time, which is why it was not available to be applied in store. There are many instances where this is the case with several retailers. However, our sales rep was able to assist you with this. As for the fridge missing parts, we do apologize that this was the case. The sales rep had the missing parts ordered as soon as they knew they were missing. Not all parts are readily available and must be ordered in, which is why it took a few weeks for them to be received on your end. Unfortunately parts delays do happen, but TA ensured they were on top of it from the beginning. We do apologize again for your experience and hope you enjoy your product going forward.

Worst customer experience ever

If I could put a zero star I would. I have never encountered such a terrible experience. From sales to delivery and even follow up. There was very poor communication from the sales department to delivery and install. To top it up, the delivery drivers were outrightly rude to me and refused to do any install despite paying for it. After several back and forth the team agreed to send installers to fix my appliances and nobody came on the said day. Customer service never picked up their calls and when I managed to get through they were clueless and unapologetic. It’s really disheartening to experience such poor customer service. I am yet to have this matter resolved by the team.

TA sold a defective product and kept my $$$

I’ve bought several excellent appliances from TA Appliance, but will never shop there again and urge you to avoid them: If something is wrong with the appliance, TA leaves you high and dry.

As other reviewers have said, TA urged me to buy a range hood from a little-known Canadian manufacturer, saying that a Canadian manufacturer would be more reliable and responsive. I spent $500 on a range hood that proved defective right out of the box.

TA told me the manufacturer would deal with it. The manufacturer sent one email saying response times are delayed bc they’re “transitional”. I never heard from the manufacturer again.

The TA salesperson says she’s also getting the runaround from the manufacturer.

Meanwhile, TA has my money and TA customer service is acting like it’s not their problem to fix. 18 days after reporting the problem, I’ve received no visit to assess the problem, no appointment, no time frame for resolution. As far as I can tell, nothing is happening. TA has not responded to my request for a refund.

TA has my money; i dont have what I paid for. Don’t shop here. If there’s anything wrong with the product, TA will keep your money and act like they can’t help.

Hello,
We do sincerely apologize that you experienced some problems with the hood vent. However, as soon as it was reported to our customer service team, they had a request processed with the manufacturer who is the warranty holder on the appliance. While we cannot control their processing and dispatching times, we did express the urgency on the service call. Our customer service had never acted as if it was not their problem, but rather submitted the request asap, and continued to follow up on the request, as well as the sales rep continuing to follow up, until we got an approved exchange from the manufacturer. While we do apologize for any delays, we do need to abide by the manufacturers policies and procedures in place while a solution is sought out. We have sent you the details to complete the exchange for the new appliance.

The washer and dryer are great but the…

The washer and dryer are great but the installation was not. I’ve had these appliances for a month and only now noticed that they didn’t properly attach the dryer exhaust so it fell off.

TA is the best appliance store in Barrie

TA is the best place in Barrie to get your appliances. They have a huge selection. If by chance they don’t have what you are looking for, they will find it for you. Salespeople are really knowledgeable. Make sure you ask for Cathy Copeland. She’s the best!

Follow-up Experience


While the sales person was good, I was ultimately disappointment with my follow-up experience.

Upon delivery of my GE stove, the unit remained packaged until my installer arrived. Once opened, I discovered that one of the three racks was missing. I promptly contacted your store to report this issue, as the inclusion of three racks was a primary reason for my purchase.

During the call, the staff member I spoke with was rude and accusatory, implying that my report was untruthful due to the time elapsed since delivery. I explained that the delay was simply due to waiting for a professional installer before unseating the appliance.

While I have since received the missing rack, the poor service I encountered has led me to take my business elsewhere. Consequently, I have decided to purchase my stand-up freezer from another provider.

Discovering a missing component after delivery is frustrating, especially when that feature played an important role in your purchase decision. Waiting for a professional installer before unpacking is completely understandable, however there are reporting time frames for missing items with each manufacturer, which is why we always suggest inspecting appliances upon delivery/pick up so these things can be noted with the manufacturer within their appropriate time frame. However, the interaction you mentioned, does not reflect the standard of service we expect from our team, and we sincerely apologize for how that conversation made you feel.
