TDS here in Mesquite Nevada is really bad. I have had more outages here in Mesquite, NV in last 3 years than I have had in prior city where lived 20 years. Plus call support and be treated like do not know nothing internet even after telling them that am a system and network administrator.
Absolute Trash
Absolute trash service and the customer support is insidous. They make you go through the enitre 7 minute phone directory of departments only to tell you at the end that you are calling outside of business hours. I received a credit card charge days after physical termination of service after they told me on the phone that they charge at the beginning of a service month, not at the end. These are the same business minds that put ads at the "most viewed" segments of your favorite youtube videos. Pure demonic, corporate scum.

TDS conducts illegal trade practices.
They will offer you a price or service plan and will instead set you up on a different, inferior plan. I've spent countless hours over the last three months calling them (speaking with senior supervisors) and trying to get this resolved, even with them confirming they will but stating that they couldn't that day "because their system was having issues".
Three months later and they say they will not change it to the plan we signed up for--the plan that they offered to us to get us to sign up and the plan that we agreed to. Bait and switch tactics like this are illegal on a state and federal level.
Take all of the negative reviews about TDS seriously. They are scammers, do not care about you, will not honor their word, and will not do the right thing. Avoid TDS all costs, even if their marketed or offered deals sounds good. I wish I never signed up with them and will never use them again. I would rather pay more and deal with a reputable company that does not conduct illegal trade practices.

TDS has been the only high speed…
TDS has been the only high speed internet provider in my neighborhood since the baught out Baja Broadband 10 plus years ago. There customer service has always been piss poor. Their technical services sucked it took them 4 trips and doing the same thing the first 3 times replacing the cable from the box to the house to finally get a technician out that checked the cable in the house and find the reason for our poor connection and speed problems. It has taken me several phone calls to remove my ex from the account and get my phone number added and even today it still didn't recognize my number being tied to the account. Thank the gods Quantum Fiber is coming to our neighborhood. When I called to cancel my service they offered to lower my price and lock it because that is what the new provider offers. Why dont you call or tell your long time customers that you offer better prices and a locked in rate till they decide to go somewhere else. They also don't prorated their service so even though I am only going to have their service for 13 days I have to pay for the full month. They are by far the worst service company I've ever had to deal with. Goodbye and good riddance!!!

Get rid of answering system. Hire associates who can help. Better train your tech people. Don't tell me it will cost $150 that it seems only a service call can fix. The 1.2 rated is too high. But other bundling companies have about the same ratings.

Charges after TV service cancellation
I canceled my TDS TV subscription recently. It just got way too expensive. I received my monthly bill today, and to my surprise, I am still being charged for my TV service. Called into TDS. They told me that I am being charged for the entire month service. I was told that they won't pro-rate. Here we go, again. Glad I cancelled this service .

Payment Scam When Closing Acct
WARNING! I recently closed my TDS account over the phone and when I went back to pay my last bill, I could not access the online account. When I called to pay over the phone, they required an additional $4.95 processing fee. What a racket. There is a reason we nicknamed this company "Total Dog Sh**" in my household.

Service or theft? RUN!!!
This provider has failed from bill to customer service. I don't understand how they can be so poor and still stay in business. My bill isn't due until the 23rd, I've been disconnected on the 19th. Thanks for the useless number that is not help. I always paid my account on time for a year,if you want you're payment on the 19th why does my bill say the 23rd?
The way the economy is something had to be removed from my budget. Thank you for deciding for me.

Horrible service
Horrible service. Horrible pricing. Customer service on multiple occasions of me calling and requesting it be fixed during my 3 year contract with them, never changed the name of the landlines owners. Charged me for services never rendered AFTER I disconnected services. Sat on hold for 17 minutes while waiting for a supervisor. Tried online chat and immediately told to contact customer service.

Rapacious greed
I was a customer for four years, yet TDS not only raised my rates numerous times, they were eventually charging me $86 per month while simultaneously charging new customers $49 "for life"! When I called to cancel my service, the rep asked me "What are you willing to pay?" Are you serious? If they'd merely set EVERYONE at $49 per month for life, they would have had loyal and content customers. Rapacious greed.

Cancel nightmare-The internet itself was good
The internet itself was good, no issues. But when I clearly found a no gimmicks, MUCH better option for 80% less, and called to terminate/cancel service, I was told the new month had just started the day before I called, and therefore I would be charged for the entire upcoming month! $103 is why the want for ZERO service- they credited me a whole $12! I have not had a phone line in use for well over 15 years, but of course they charged me for that EVERY MONTH!
That’s okay my new bill is $25/mo period! Good Riddance!
The “customer service” was atrocious, rude and snarky. Good luck retaining customers! I am for sure telling everyone about much easier hassle free options!

Called to upgrade to fiber but can't understand the rep as they can't speak english very well and i can't understand what they are saying!! I keep calling back hoping to get an English speaking rep and have now given up.

Numerous Poor experiences.
A Negative number experiences.
Just when I thought TDS. Couldn't get any lower, They did. Service outage Not handled in a timely manner.I Had a Tv outage, In called then Them 3 times about it,They promised to be out same day by 7 PM. I was supposed to get a call from technician with in a couple hours with estimated time. No call, No show.
Once again Poor service, To now no service.
That's it, I am done with this worthless company

SECOND EDIT on 03/09/26: This morning, I got an email with my "scheduled" installation for tomorrow, despite the fact that I never ordered service. After I long wait on hold, I spoke with someone who said my zip code was still in a ground freeze stop, but saw that the order I never made was "canceled." She offered to schedule installation, but the cable would lay on the grass until the end of May, long after my condo's lawn service will be mowing, so it was a no-go, even if I was ready to go from $30 including tax Spectrum to $50 plus tax TDS. Then, a few hours later, I got ANOTHER email notice for tomorrow's installation. Now I've been waiting for a live agent on chat for the past 18 minutes. I think, no matter how much Spectrum raises my rate, I'll stick with it. If TDS is this bad before I even order, I can't imagine how bad they would be for service once I do.
EDIT AFTER READING THE TDS REPLY THAT WAS ONCE AGAIN MISSING THE POINT: I WENT ON CHAT TO ASK WHEN THE GROUND FREEZE STOP WAS GOING TO END SO I COULD SCHEDULE INSTALLATION. APPARENTLY, NONE OF YOU CAN READ OR COMPREHEND THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE!
Original comment: I went on chat with "Nakathy S" and she told me I'd already signed up. All I wanted to know was when the ground freeze stop would be lifted to connect my condo from the pylon at the street. I said I had previously inquired, but because it was winter, I had to go with Spectrum cable, which was already in my unit. She said that if I didn't want fiber, she couldn't help me and told me that any homes not already wired for it cannot get it. I replied that I did want it, but if they won't hook up homes not yet run, I couldn't get it and after waiting for 30 seconds for her reply, I closed my browser that was already on the order page.

If there were zero stars that's what I would give. I was a loyal customer for 10 years never missed a payment. Times got hard and shopped prices from xfinity, $60 cheaper a month. Called tds and asked them to match but they would not at $268 month. I was told by 3 tds operators that the billing would be prorated into the billing cycle. 5 days in they charged me the full month. Called to question it and after being transferred to a supervisor all he would say is sorry sir! Wouldn't make it right and finally told me my options were to pay or be sent to collections! F.U. TDS!

DO NOT USE....
This is the worst service I have ever experienced. Very poor customer service, Internet was very unreliable and awful strength. I had to pay for a home phone line to have the internet and the phone line never worked, then in our home area another internet company put lines in our area so we were finally able to have options, I canceled services and TDS continued to charge me even after services were requested to be shut off, and after fighting the bill that should not have been charged to my account, they reported it to my credit report for a bill that was not actually supposed to be charged. Will never use this company again.

Very poor internet service, disingenuous
I had months of very poor internet service. After one good experience they never came to my house when they said would, didn’t text, didn’t call. The customer service on the phone was very good but there was absolutely no follow through. I told them I didn’t want to change companies but I did have choices. I finally had enough and made arrangements for new service. When I cancelled they made me pay close to a whole month after I cancelled. Said they don’t prorate. Then I go to pay my bill to stop dealing with this poorly run company and it gives me a total with the shipping fees to return the equipment but when I go to pay the bill it only includes the internet fees. Then I get another bill for the shipping fees and now a late charge. I would have paid the shipping fees but they weren’t included and there wasn’t a way to add them. So now more money to this awful company. An addendum on 4/3/26. There was no response to my email when I responded to your response that you wanted to make this right. So more lies. 0 stars. Scam company.
