Full of false promises
This outfit promises you lots. They even promise that after 10 assignments (cant remember exactly as been so long ago) with them your DBS fee is refunded. Well sadly thats all they are. Full of promises with little to show the other end. 2 years and only one measly job. Waste of time.

Unprofessional, Not to be trusted; they caused me to suffer a financial loss.
I do not trust this agency (Preston) due to my negative experience resulting in a significant financial loss. Despite my efforts to provide my personal information to three staff members multiple times via phone and email, my file was never cleared in time for the interview/trial. My file should have been prioritised to be ready for the interview/trial. This oversight caused me to lose a week’s pay, as the interview date was rescheduled several times. I turned down other agencies to be available. Consequently, I requested that my data be removed because I no longer trust their assurances.

Don't waste your time
Wasted my time doing an online onboarding session, only to be told I would then need to come into the office just so they could scan my passport!!
Also falsely advertise jobs. The job I enquired about and was then given the school didn't even have a post available (I checked with another agency and then my friend who knows someone who works there). Sadly it seems this is many agencies way of getting you to register with them.
Do yourself a favour and don't waste your time with these guys, plenty of other more transparent agencies out there.

We’re sorry to hear that you did not enjoy the onboarding process, having evidence of physical proof of identity is standard practice during our onboarding and compliance process. This is to confirm that we have verified that the document is a true document as well as a true likeness to the individual. This process is set out both by the government and Keeping Children Safe in Education.
We work closely with all of our schools and through our direct line of communication can receive specific roles to hire for. Due to this, others may not be aware of the role available as it is not advertised elsewhere.

A great company to work for!
All staff are friendly and helpful and do their utmost to find suitable work which meets your strengths. I have always found them to be very supportive and will answer queries related to assignments quickly. I like the fact everyone employed by them is treated as an individual.

TeacherActive- a great agency
Worked for TeacherActive for just over six months. They were really supportive and friendly and found me a placement quickly. They checked in with me regularly and were always there on and with any queries. I would recommend them to anyone looking for supply work in education.

My experience was not good
My experience was not good. Wasted my time inviting me into their Birmingham office for absolutely nothing they couldn't have done on the phone or online. Low rates of pay and taking hardly any time to consider qualifications and experience. Despite taking time out of my day to travel into Birmingham (at my own expense) was told they could not copy my documents due to "IT" issues and had no consultants who were available to talk to me as they were all busy. Rubbish.

I get regular work through TeacherActive. They contact me weekly about my availability and I am paid promptly every week. I have a good relationship with my contact who is polite, personable and understands my need to be flexible. It works well for me.

Glad that I quit it!
Sharing my experience at Teacher Active was the worst; the manager shows no concern for your actions, well-being, or feelings. The focus is solely on completing the work, and beyond that, there's a lack of care or support. I am glad that I quit it! Even after I quit it , she didn’t even care again. It’s like you don’t matter at all ! Only the work !
