ZERO stars!

If I could give them zero stars I would. I have a mobile contract for my daughter for £9.50 a month. last Friday Tesco Mobile took £1,305.71 out of my account stating that we hadn't returned a mobile device (that we didn't order and didn't receive). Customer services said it is an error on their part and told me on Saturday I would have the money back in my account by Thursday 7th May. I don't. I have called today and been told the same story that only the Manager can process the refund, however, they won't let me speak to the Manager. I am now being told the refund has been processed and will take 5-7 working days. All the while I am short £1,300 in my account.

Outcome:
Visited the Basingstoke store located at the back right inside the shopping store and was seen by Charlotte who the week before briefly ran through the sim only offers, returned the following week and she ran through clearly the process of switching over existing network to Tesco mobile who piggyback off the 02 network, so with the current plan I had, the cost difference between what I currently paid for on my SIM only contract and the new contract will be saving me an extra £20 a month straight away!!

Im currently still waiting for the switchover process to complete and hope to receive a good and consistent network service, any problems that I encounter may lead to a different rating.

Overall great customer service and understanding from her and the team!

No phone thief could ever get a signal to rob you. USELESS PHONE COMPANY

Terrible service

Terrible service. Completely ignored by customer service and complaints team. Lost a lot of time and potentially got my credit score badly impacted by security found prevention team. Also was refused to provide genuine review about Tesco services !

Rubbish customer services

Been with Tesco Mobile for awhile now. I’ve just upgraded my phone and realised a lot has changed since the last time I spoke to a customer service representative. I’ve got my new phone okay and set it up with no problems. I find that the app is not brilliant, it won’t let me change my safety buffer. The app keeps asking for verification and sending me verification codes, whereas before just my Face ID was sufficient. I had to ring customer service a couple of times and to be quite honest this is where Tesco Mobile falls flat on its face. Speaking to someone that has a decent command of the English language is impossible. Even when the representatives do have some command of the English language they still do not do what I’ve asked them to do i.e. increased my safety buffer and they do not understand what I want them to do. Once my two years is up, I am going elsewhere. Touch with a barge pole absolutely rubbish.

Useless

Went to Tesco mobile shop in Tesco store Carlisle. They sell IPhones to customers but cannot set them up. ??????They only set up Samsung. You have to go to a shop in town.
This is very inconvenient and frustrating. My contract is up in May and I will NOT be renewing or using them ever again. Useless 😡

Had this about a year now and have to say its not brilliant as its perhaps made out to be...having recently read bad reports from other users its not surprising. There's bad coverage in typical areas around me few miles away thats just very bad no matter who the providers are .mainly the fact there's just not enough masts to accommodate any service if that from mainly countryside...
Had ee before this which was bad on the area we were meant to move to reason I switched to tesco but I may as well have stayed with EE...02 I now gather is dire indeed. Customer service dont seem to be interested as its difficult to speak to anyone without a broken unintelligible accent to say least..when my contract comes up for renewal think I may switch to better provider if that's possibly accomplishable...

Appalling and frustrating customer…

Appalling and frustrating customer service. Issues with their online payment system resulting in the need for multiple phone calls to the call centre. Applications cancel after two attempts and then you have to start the long process again. Requested callback from a manager, and was promised he would call. Never happened. Customer service agent made a typo and entered DOB wrong which triggered suspicion on credit search leading to rejection and wait of 30 days to reapply. Was told I had to contact credit report company and get codes and call back for the search to be removed. Called credit report company and it doesnt work like that so was clearly fobbed off.

I recommend avoiding at all costs!!!!

Dreadful

Dreadful ! Deleted my 20 year old number when I asked to switch - meaning hours of calling banks ! Most password / etc.. apps and websites won’t allow to to access without codes to old number to change to new number meaning endless calls to the dreaded CALL Centres … sorry I didn’t understand, sorry can you say that again … I’ve wasted 6 hours of my time on hold etc… because of these clowns. Avoid !!! Avoid !!

Staff attitudes,at Amersham.

I bought a phone today,but told it's policy not to set up new phones,having bought one a month ago,for my wife,the assistant did set it up.Todays episode,put my back up,only to be told by the assistant,that I was talking to her,in an angry manner.This assistant,to my mind,had no intention of helping me,I am 80 yrs old,not computer savvy,and had to elicit help,to remove and insert a SIM card.May I suggest giving staff instruction on helping OAPs.We served our country, couldn't your staff,SERVE us,after all,they will be old sometime.

Appalling customer service and no mobile data available in France

I have been a customer for around 15 years. Service was previously ok and I recommended Tesco mobile in the past. Never again. What has happened? Have Tesco mobile outsourced customer services?
FAILURES OF SERVICE:
- Mobile data no longer working in France (for whole of 2 week period (it did work fine over the previous 4 years)
- Tesco mobile can give no explanation and no resolution to the problem (O2 worked fine for a a family member not on a Tesco mobile contract who was with me)
- None of their trouble shooting options worked
- Tesco mobile state they cannot assure me it won't keep happening each time I am in France (which is quite often)
- So 'home from home' service no longer available
- Tesco mobile sent me text messages and left voicemail messages during this period despite knowing I had no mobile data to receive these.
- No longer an option to leave a personal greeting when a phone call is received but you are unable to answer phone at that time.
- Poor and inconsistent advice every time contact with customer services made.
- 'Live' chat can take over an hour to respond.
- No attempt to address concerns and put right - just a 'computer says no' approach. Customers not valued.

Be warned and shop elsewhere - I now have to change my provider to get what should be a basic standard service.

I phoned this company today as my son…

I phoned this company today as my son has got himself into difficulties and I wanted to clear the ballance to help him get back on his feet his bill it just over 300 pound i phoned up and the bill has jumped up to over 500 pound i asked if ther was any way of having a bit of a deal if I cleared the ballance they refused
My son has no job and no fixed address so your loss you will get nothing now every company has a duty of care clearly not this bunch everyone hits hard times in life and this just shows when your down lets kick them.abit more
Stick you dept up your rear end i recorded the call on my phone and u refused to help so now u will get nothing

The worst customer service I've ever experienced

Quite awful. I don't think I've ever dealt with such terrible customer service. They mis-sold my 89 year old Mum a complicated phone that she struggles to use, without advising that she could port her existing number from BT or that she could put her existing BT SIM into an unlocked phone. The phone has terrible signal at her house and she was in a state because she couldn't keep in touch with me (her daughter). Since then we've been trying to return the phone and cancel the contract. Countless visits, emails and phone calls later, we are no further forward! We've been given different information by everyone we've spoken to and I still haven't been able to register my power of attorney with them. Avoid at all costs!

Useless Tesco call centre

I rang Tesco mobile on 7th April(Tuesday) to swap from pay monthly, to pay as you go. Was told it was going to take 24 hours. No problem I thought. It's now Friday 10th April and still it hasn't been done. I have rang up everyday and was told it'll take 48 hours then phoned up again to be told it's going to be another 24 hour and I'm going to get compensation. Bloody incompetent. Update 11th April, phone number still not working. Keep getting told different things every time I ring, like today. Update 13th April.... Phone number still not working as they promised, they are now telling me I need a new SIM card, however I did ask them last week if I needed a new one and got told no, the one you have will work fine.

AVOID

For the last 3 days I have been trying to transfer my old phone number from a Tesco mobile contract to my new Tesco contract, everyone that I have spoken to has barely spoken a word of English. I have been told 3 times that it will be complete in 24 hours, they also tried to charge me £322.00 While trying to check to see if it had changed I noticed a bill on my account of £47.00 when I paid the remainder of my old contract which was £63.00 and I also paid the start of my new contract which is £17.50, I still have no answers as to why or where this bill has came from and no apology either, I have been with Tesco mobile for 13 years and I have never had any issues, the last 3 days have been a nightmare and my issue still isn’t resolved, avoid at all costs
